Venturing cautiously through the basement and ascending the creaky staircase, we were greeted by a sight that left us awestruck. A perfectly preserved traditional Portuguese house awaited us, as if its occupants had fled in haste, leaving behind their lives frozen in time.

The narrator is so beautiful... I'm immersed in his gaze... thinking that whoever he likes must be lucky.
Yes Lesley is handsome 🥰
Agreed 💯% 😍😍 Leslie is VERY HANDSOME!!
Yes, Lesley is a lot of people’s dream man. He has the looks, he has a good personality, he’s very respectful, and he has a nice accent. Lmao.
@@jenniffer9034...... Totally agree. Love these guys.
@@yvettegagne7308...... Yes he is.
The small bedroom by the kitchen made me emotional - memories of my grandparents village house in Spain.
I love the skylights. Can you give the timestamp of that bedroom off the kitchen?
De donde de España?
.....................YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE.............I LOVE THIS CHANNEL AND HAVE BEEN SUBSCRIBED FOR YEARS NOW..................DONE A LOT OF THIS MYSELF..........LOVE IT. MY HOME IS LIKE A TIME CAPSULE.......I AM SURROUNDED BY ANTIQUES AND ANCIENT THINGS. I'M 70 NOW.........AND HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH A SANCUARY THAT I SHARE.
I am surprised ppl don't go in there and take the lovely furniture. It's a pity to let it rot away like that. Many ppl could probably use that stuff.
I absolutely adore that tear drop chandelier. I enjoy traveling along with you guys on these adventures. Thanks a lot.
The teardrop chandelier was beautiful & elegant.
This was a lovely place. My mother got all excited when she saw the print of the little girls in front of the fire. She has the same print hanging in her bedroom.
Thank you, Lesley and Danny for another beautiful time capsule💜
It always makes me question what happened to them that made them just up and leave. Who or what are they running for their lives from? So many places abandoned that have everything left. Where are the children or do they have any that are still alive and around. As always , Leslie, and Danny , thank you so much for taking us along. ❤ From Texas 🇨🇱🤠
Pode ser dívidas...
I believe they were killed in a car accident .
The memorabilia in this house made me very emotional. I am not usually affected in this way, but this house and family were special.
Very interesting. The living areas look so clean considering it has been abandoned for 10 years. I Googled Maria Celeste of Portugal and a video came up with music and the woman looked like the younger woman in the framed picture. That key on black ribbon could be to the family mausoleum. Very curious.
It does look like someone is coming by and cleaning.
I met some really nice German medical students in Munich and they let me stay at their apartment so I could catch my train to the airport the next morning, they were so cool this was in the 90s, before the Euro. I made the mistake of taking a really long shower oh no but I love the accent and you guys remind me of good people! You have that country innocence and respect veiling intelligence,(not conceited or hyper-intellectual) just perfect! Great!
I love your voice , you’re so good at telling stories. You tell such compelling stories. Always so interesting.
I really enjoyed this beautiful house.all times left behind were beautiful. Thank you again. For the wonderful video.
Without Danny as a video grapher the entire video is nothingness.... appreciate both of u especially ur narration nd Danny’s work ❤❤
I’m in love with that chandelier
This was a very nice video, I really enjoyed the teardrop chandelier, it looks so elegant. Thanks for sharing this home with us. ❤
Oh another Great explore Lesley and Danny ❤😊
What a fantastic find very low door ways nice big bedrooms never seen ceilings like that before the door in the kitchen with the door in the middle must be to keep a eye on the kids strange set up for the rooms in the house can't understand why they would leave the house with all their possessions behind its amazing to see how they used to live the way everything is set out
It looks like they've just popped out to the shop 😄👍
Hi guys! Watching you from Oregon, USA. Love your channel.
I think what you guys are calling the master bedroom is more likely a living room. The ceiling feels like a living room. I think they had multiple children and had to get creative with bedrooms.
I get the feeling that the last family to live here were forced to flee, due to a storm coming through which may have caused an electrical fire. Basically, due to such storm and fire damage, the house was probably appraised by their insurance company as being a total loss. They may have meant to return at some point after the fire was put out, but took the insurance money and moved on with their lives. That is what I think happened. You certainly do not stay in a house that is on fire! Thank you for the good video. I want to compliment your camera man. He is very good and does not swing the camera or rotate it too quickly. Good job, both of you.
Hello hello, dear Lesley, I had to rewatch this video. Absolutely breathtaking explore in that abandoned Portuguese house. The climb in that rather derelict staircase from the cellar into the living aera really looked challenging. - I was actually nearly speechless when seeing the intact state of some of these beautifully furnished rooms. A legit timecapsule! - I loved listening to your as usual very intelligent conversations with Danny, whose camerawork was again absolutely excellent. I also loved the choice of the background music. - Amazing explore, wonderfully commented and very interesting to see! Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards.
The boy in the picture had first Communion. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the tour, I really enjoyed to saw the beautiful capsule time always keep safe 😊

It was really exciting and interesting watching an exploration of a lovely Portuguese house, like this one! I love old Portuguese mansions, they are so unique in their design, furniture and family items ! People held their traditional and spiritual values so dear and turned their homes into sanctuaries of love, peace and coziness. Lesley is always a great observer while Danny a skillful cameraman. Lesley você é seu colega são realmente exploradores. Parabéns pelo trabalho
Singer should sponsor them and make a kind of colab because they can see how important was sawing machines in the past! Maybe now but fast fashion and buying anything make a bit difference when grandma o mom knew how to improve with Singer. You are so pro in every single video. Thanks!
Back in Luton England, my mother had that print of the two girls warming in front of the fire. It is quite famous. She really loved it. British houses were often cool and damp, especially bad in winter, so a nice warm up in front of the fire felt fabulous. My sister and I did the same :)
So pleasant and charming !!!!!! lesley ,,,,,i love you sweet man and i respect you so deeply
Fantastic house, I love it! Can't believe family hasn't claimed it !
Beautiful beds and wardrobes! So unique. We don't use wardrobes so much in the USA. We have closets instead. At 24:36 the picture with the young man holding the rosary is his First Communion. That is what we celebrate in 2nd grade in the catholic church. Gorgeous chandelier with the teardrops. The ceilings in that place is very unusual. Thank you guys!
Wow!!! So beautiful i love it.
Thank you Bros of Decay allowing me to walk next to you as you explore this beautiful large home . Wow im amazed to see how it looks inside gorgeus spelling. Thru your lens it looks like it could be lived in again. Yes looks like a fire has took some parts but still in grand time capsule. Love ya Guys take care stay safe. your friend Barbie NWP , FL
Thank u❤❤❤❤
Breaks mu heart to see all that beautiful furniture and other items just left and will ho to rot if someone does not clear it out. That silverware set in the box was silver, thats why its in such good shape
Spikes, were spindles on the bed. Love to watch and listen to the two of you.
That is a beautiful chandelier. 😊
Yes, I saw that and I totally agree....it's gorgeous! I find it hard not to covet, when I watch the "Bros of Decay" videos......so many gorgeous antiques..... so little time, and these beautiful things.....are just sitting there....😮💨
I recently started watching your videos from India. Love the places you show, very intriguing
Those little cups are called Demi tasse cups, for coffee, strong coffee. 😊
That was awesome house thanks I enjoyed watching
Beautiful video and presentation. 🪷
i love your videos but something puzzles me, why are these placed so dust free? i know in room we dont use much they get very dusty it just puzzles me
The mirrors are dust free
This seems like a museum type house. Someone dusts. The lace tablecloth is clean as is the chandelier. Moths, mice, and insects would have damaged more without any intervention.
This is all very interesting. But leaves you hanging and kinda sad. This is whats left of peoples lives. No one wanted any thing and thats sad too. Thank you for filming this. Keep up the good work.
Hi 🎉🎉🎉lesly watching from Rockaway beach NYC❤😊😊
The song in the background made me go back to Brazil a little. This actually happens every exploration in Portugal. After twenty years in Italy, only the "saudade" remains.
Excellent video and interpretation
❤ I loved this ❤
Uau! Uma música brasileira no vídeo. Amo essas descobertas. Um abraço forte de uma fã do 🇧🇷.
Beautiful place thanks
BIG FAT KISS TO DANNY!!

Wish I lived there with that wonderful family
Very nice discovery home, beautiful middle class home, I wondered why this home got so many bed around the house, I am guessing maybe the person got sick and everyone moved in to stay and look after her or him , after the person gone everyone left as well, thank you for sharing.
Beautiful place.
Definitely looks like an electrical fire. Thank you Leslie and Danny.
The bed is very delicate and very beautiful ❤️
Those bedrooms would have gotten a lot of heat during the day from the sun porch. All that light from those windows would have been a good place to keep a sewing machine. 🙂
Essa casa é realmente especial pois vê-se que as pessoas amavam esse lugar
