  • NOTE:mentioned in the video but to reiterate here, the wait times with the pin are often very very long - we left some of them in, but edited the rest to make the video watchable but I also want it to feel accurate (thank you to the couple people that commented about this I appreciate you) and so want to make sure it’s re clarified here that the waits with questions are often quite long Thank you so much for watching this one!! Took a while to make - the next video will be the Rabbit R1 pin and that’ll come out a lot quicker :))) Also! humane just announced they are sending out an update, I’m going to test it and will pin this comment with any updated experiences I have from it Hope you have a magic day! • Something is weird about it when all questions are of the type "what's the weather" "coffee near me".. that is amazingly convenient on smart watches. I was hoping to see some deep use cases.. like in a meeting, or looking up some specific and difficult information that LLMs excel at. Asking the weather is a disingenuous review of even LLMs, let alone Humane pin.

  • Good review. I have some questions though. Is the laser display bright enough to be used in a sunny environment, since a probable use case, atheletes, would be using that in bright outdoor environments? Can you connect it to wireless earphones? Also, can you change the laser color so that those finding hard to read blue text might switch to high wavelength colors like Red.

  • Is it possible to change the color of the laser? Some people don't see certain colors as well, which is why I am asking. I still see so much potential for this in the accessibility market. A little development would take this product so far in helping people with visual and hearing disabilities, cognitive disabilities, as well as helping senior citizens in just about every aspect of their daily lives, like with the memory recall. Imagine this reminding someone that happens to be a little forgetful to take a pill at a specific time of day. Telling someone where a particular item is in a grocery store isle, like Kroger or Food Line. Or someone with Alzheimer's, this could be used to locate a person or call out for help if they aren't in a specific location by a certain time. So amazed by the descriptive ability of the device to describe the surroundings and traffic conditions! Keep up the absolutely amazing work, Jacklyn!

    • @@luther0013 Yes. It doesn't take up space in your pockets. It isn't always listening, respecting your privacy. it could complete a query in the time it takes you to get your phone out of your pocket. The video showed how well it described its surroundings, which I have never heard a phone do that well. It doesn't cause Carpel-tunnel. It doesn't contribute to dry eyes and eye strain. It comes with a charger and multiple batteries in the box, so you don't have to buy them when you buy the device. I'm sure there's lots more that I have missed.

  • 1:55 Maybe Humane Ai smallness is its biggest problem but a pairing up with a tablet or phone will create a perfect synergy between the two devices. As a devices that is dedicated to specific services it can alleviate the power and energy from your phone (if the phone has to perform all those task) to produce proficiency, speed, durability and a surreal experience. 😎💯💪🏿👍🏿 9:09 The Ai pin feedback of the actual surrounding is surprisingly amazing to me. If the Ai pin can be performed faster and without long delays and with accuracy it can be an exciting device to used.

  • I like their thoughts on data/privacy. I like their hardware, aesthetically. Unfortunately I feel they rushed to market and I'm hoping it doesn't cost them solid footing in the potential market of post phone or mobile companion devices. They really need to wow the consumer with their next iteration or dive hard into commercial potential, like restaurant/retail inventory assist or order taking assist, before they become irrelevant. Please keep up the reviews and interviews. Your content is a refreshing take on tech that has been, as of late, lost in a sea of youtubers making their reviews less... real. For lack of a better description.

  • This AI pin seems to have potential but unlikely a phone, it’s based on verbal/audio input whereas a phone can also receive tactile input. Even in private, I would most likely never use my voice as typing a request is much more preferable. But I’m sure there’s a small audience out there who might find this device useful. Otherwise, a phone can (mostly) do everything that this device can do. And with AI-based OS’s coming to today’s phones, this pin may become obsolete. We’ll see.

  • Awesome! I'd be most interested in how it integrates with others, like with a family. It's always a struggle to coordinate events, especially when someone forgets to enter it into a shared calendar. Would be so much easier if that integration ran through AI. Ideally receiving warning as we enter a new event and a conflict is imminent (rather than having to check calendars; reach out to kids/parents; et cetera).

  • I think it's interesting that you mention the feature that describes things in front of you, as an accessibility feature for blind people. But if you were blind, you wouldn't be able to use that laser shining on your hand interface. So is it actually possible to use the device with your voice only? For me personally, I don't find a voice interface compelling, in part because I don't hear well and I wouldn't want to have to wear earbuds all day, but also because when I'm in a space with other people audio responses seem intrusive. I also can consume visual details quickly, like looking at a map of description. But I like the idea of devices improve accessibility for people with limited vision. But this seems like it's not there yet.

  • If you have to touch it to interact with it, what's the point of having it? I might as well just use my phone. Something like this should be hands-free. But it's not a hands-free device. So you might as well just use a smartphone or a smartwatch, both of which have the advantage of a screen and swipe/touch navigation.

    • As a person who is actually legally blind, there are a few issues that make this not quite the godsend everyone seems to think. First is the obvious lag, you can't exactly pop earphones in and rely on this thing to help you navigate. The second is reliability, can I really trust that the cup of coffee this thing says is in front of me is actually a cup of coffee and not a candle or pot plant? But the biggest problem is that like everything else this thing does, phones already do it. Honestly, the $200 Rabbit pin, assuming it's scene description is as good, will be a much better solution than this standalone nonsense for sight impaired people, just as it will for everyone else. Also, there is no way for a sight impaired person to unlock this thing lol. Doesn't matter how good of an accessibility tool it may become when its functionality is locked behind a bad laser projector that even people with good vision struggle to use.

It's like you interviewed the CEO and liked her so now you're biased and trying to sort of protect her and are not portraying her product honestly. Please remember this company absolutely knows how bad this thing is but are willing to take a LARGE amount of unsuspecting customer's money - not to mention $24/mo on TOP of that - for a terrible product that's clearly a long LONG way from being ready for release. First gen is one thing, but this thing is just crap. Doing that is immoral and dishonest Jacklyn and by not representing it honestly, you're contributing to that dishonesty. Not your best video Jacklyn.

    • @@NBTJacklyn Oookkaayyy .... but editing out how long it takes to respond and replacing that with occasional passing comments is VERY misleading whether you intended it or not. Also, you spend an inordinate amount of time taking about what you think this thing COULD be and what you would LIKE it to be, not what it actually is. Your viewers have to spend at least SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS (EIGHT hundred for the one you're showing) PLUS $24/mo for what this thing actually is RIGHT NOW. This company may never fix their problems and achieve your vision for them and might even go bankrupt before too long the way things are going. And then your viewers, who are responding to your unjustified optimism and glossing over your mild comment not to buy it yet at the end - are going to be stuck with a piece of garbage because they responded to your well meaning but misguided optimism. You're supposed to be reviewing THIS thing, not your hopes and dreams for the future. I don't think you're being honest here Jacklyn. They're literally trying to seal your viewer's hard earned money by not providing a legitimate product in return for it. That's not OK. You can either see it or you can't; I won't keep beating this drum. I really loved every other video of yours I've watched. This one is misleading and dishonest. It is what it is.

    • @@Starlite4321 hmmm I want to think about this more and will reply a nuanced comment!! But quick thoughts, I hear you Anytime I’m testing out a new type of technology I try to keep the optimism for what it could be (discussing the future) with the skepticism of what it is (my saying don’t buy it right now) I think your point on why we should’ve left in more pauses is really interesting, we were only thinking about the viewer experience when we made that choice, thought it would be not engaging to watch that lag - it’s a good point that keeping them in though is important in illustrating the product experience! I thought my mentioning it would’ve delivered the message but I can see how more should be required! Noted for the future thank you I feel like we did leave in a lot of the moments where I was very frustrated with the response time, battery life and the high price tag and subscription that no one should pay right now - my goal is to make the videos always feel energizing (bc I love technology and want other people to also) while also being realistic and valuable for buying decisions, I thought the way we approached this did that, but I appreciate your feedback here. Means a lot that you’ve liked other videos and I hope the next one hits the mark for you 🙏🏻 Thank you again and my best! Jacklyn

    • @@NBTJacklyn Jacklyn, your videos are ALWAYS engaging. I don't mean to be a sap here but I don't think you could make one that isn't if you tried. You should always choose accurately and clearly portraying things over concerns of being entertaining. You already won that battle long ago. Again, I'm reacting to this one in particular because it's clear this company is totally OK with flat out stealing their customer's money. It's basically a contract, right ? You give us your money, we give you what we're advertising in return. These guys know damn well this thing is crap but are happy to take unwary people's money for it anyway. That's absolutely dishonest and I hate that. I feel like your "brand" is wholesomeness. I love THAT. It's the opposite of these guys essentially selling snake oil. I think of you as the smart, honest lady in the crowd of potential customers who should be screaming, "Don't fall for it ! Don't buy it !". But you're not. She seemed nice to me too in your interview but at 68 I can tell you people are very often not what they seem. Just think about it ...

  • Interesting product! It's refreshing to hear a different perspective instead of the same old copycat dislikes from squares. This is an interesting product, quite different and futuristic, innovative and DARING, I think it's worth discovering what it's good at and seeing how that can assist our lives differently, rather than just saying "my iphone is easier/better at doing that" like other reviewers have done. I mean, it's not an iPhone! Duh! So yes, good review, like it. 👍

  • Your review is much better than MKBHD's or Mrwhosthe boss's for this product. I'm not sure why they were so hard on this. Your review on the other hand is much more balanced and realistic.

    • @@REDSCORPIONFX you seem to have a problem with comprehension. I have not said anywhere that this product is a delight. It definitely has its issues. But this review is more balanced , understanding and speaking about what's good in concept, but lacks in execution. The other two reviewers labeled it " worst product ever reviewed" and bashed it very disproportionately. That's what the issue with their reviews were
