Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4. In this next-generation role-playing game set amongst the stars, create any character you want and explore with unparalleled freedom as you embark on an epic journey to answer humanity’s greatest mystery.
Starfield is set in the year 2330, in a relatively small pocket of the Milky Way, in an area that extends outward from our solar system for approximately 50 light years. Around 20 years before the start of the game, the two largest factions in the Settled Systems, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, engaged in the bloody Colony War. Today, the major factions enjoy an uneasy peace, but the Settled Systems is still pretty dangerous. There are plenty of human threats out there. Like Ecliptic mercenaries, the pirates of the Crimson Fleet, violent Spacers, or even the fanatical religious zealots of House Va'ruun.
The organization known as Constellation is committed to uncovering the mysteries of the galaxy. And as one of its newest members, you'll explore the deepest reaches of the Settled Systems and you'll find yourself at home... in the Starfield.

  • At some point somebody needs to do a full Galactic Republic conversion mod. Including having Venators, Separatists cruisers... etc. And have full on space battles happen at random points. Like lets say you jump into a random system and a battle is going on between the Republic and Separatists. The commander of each side might contact you and be like... "What are you doing here. Whose side are you on?"

    • Total Star Wars conversion, when you can choose to be a jedi, sith, bounty hunter, clone, droid; all with unique abilities, world interactions, game starts. And make a dynamic strategic war happening on the map like sieges of systems, space and ground battles with modeled space ships and ground vehicles. And you can join any side at any moment. Model every major planet. That’s gonna be around 100-200 planets, others are procedurally generated as it is in a base game. That’s a game I dreamt about since ps2 battlefront 1. The ultimate Star Wars experience and starfield looks like a perfect platform for this.

    • Dont expect too much, good mods still take many months to make and as I know Bethesda, modding will be a nightmare early on, especially when the game still gets updates that break all the mods constantly. But in 2025-2027 this game probably really starts taking off with full conversion mods for all sort of Sci-Fi franchises

    • Same, I hope whoever does it doesn't take Bethesda approach of "I'm just gunna make every named character essential" Nothing worse than shooting a random character in the head cause you didn't like their personality (Hotel CEO) and finding out that character is "Essential" flagged.   • Man people have made some crazy structures in the past games, whole new landscapes including mountains in skyrim, mixed with the skycraper and landscape mods I've seen in fallout 4, I think they can easily make a jedi temple with fully voiced jedi using this AI system, they really could make this game the starwars game we've always dreamed of.

  • Imagine a star wars game that allows you to become what you want, like join the empire, rebels, pirates and criminal organizations. Become a bounty hunter or a mercenary and etc. being able to buy ships, imagine buying the x-wing model, try to survive the imperial rule and rebel attacks, maybe even build ships, it would be amazing

  • I wanted to try and figure out how to build a Daedalus class ship from Stargate. Despite some its issues, a lot of Starfields settings would make a great set up for a futuristic Stargate. Minus a barren boring dead Earth.

  • I think the smart thing would either be Clone wars, uc is republic, freestar is sepratist, crimson fleet is either the pirates from clone wars or hutt pirates. Ecliptic would be mandalorians, varun would be like sith hunters or something. Empire would be UC, new republic for FS, the rest the same really varun can be whatever. It feels like if we do empire its post war. A time of peace where both factions stand but its tense

  • This is just the tip of the iceburg dude. Just imagine what'll come when full mod support comes next year. The next Star Wars mod I see happening is a full Enderal type conversion mod. That would be the pinacle of modding.

  • People were shitting on this game but I definitely see this game in years to come having as many mods as Skyrim from different space and sci fi games and other media: Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, Battlestar Galactica, Alien, Dead Space, Metroid. Even Cyberpunk and Futuristic stuff like Cyberpunk 2077, Blade Runner, Mirror's Edge, AEon Flux, Deus Ex, Ghost in the Shell, Total Recall, etc.
