  • Jer. We need another video. It’s been long enough. I’m watching your videos twice now. Love the 2x72! ! ! !

  • Wow, I would officially nominate that for "Maker's idea of 2018". It makes your amazing grinder concept even more versatile. Nicely done!

  • This is so smart it hurts!!!! You can CNC some crazy templates and it looks like they will translate very well into steel. Definitely a game changer Jeremy.

  • The edge quality is off the charts for a fabricated part like this. Nearly like having a CNC 3D surface grinder. (This IS your job :-) , don't quit and deprive us of you!)

  • Quick tip, if you go slightly small, try knurling that end, the distortion will raise high points that will allow a press fit.

  • As always Jeremy your projects are spot on. I wouldn’t be surprised if a tool company came to you and started having you develop tools for them and called them the Schmidt collection. I know that’s the only tools that I would buy.

    • I'm seriously gonna try to make more frequent content. I'm such a perfectionist that I always try to have every detail worked out before the video, which really slows things down. But I'm trying to loosen up and be willing to screw up here and there. Thanks!

    • +Jeremy Schmidt : Noooo! Perfection is such a joy to behold, and few others achieve it. I won't name them, but they're a rarity on KZhead and well worth waiting for. • You need a cnc plasma table. My dad and I built our plasma table. I do similar projects to you, and actually made "links" for a sizing press (shown in one of my videos on youtube) which are plasma cut and then finished on my dad's 2x72 grinder. Since my sizing press uses 2 links, I bolted them together and finished them free hand. Your template setup would work even better and a steel template would likely work as well. I do not have a belt grinder and ran across your channel while researching them. Your's is the best design I have seen and even though I can use my dad's grinder any time, building a copy of yours would be a very rewarding and useful project with more options than the expensive brand he has. Great videos and channel. While my builds are very similar to yours (I'm likely older than you and have a bit more experience), I got a degree in still photography and haven't really done any video and am not excited about being in front of the camera. We would probably have a blast, given the chance to work on a project together. I really enjoy seeing your builds.
