    • @Larry Butler It seems like automakers are forgetting that the speed limit remains the same, but they keep making cars faster and faster each generation. like 5 sec 0-60 wasn't fast enough, then 0-60 in 3 seconds wasn't fast enough later on, and now 2 seconds is not fast enough neither, so Elon made something to make it to 1.1 seconds. yeah... because we need to be that fast on the streets from one stop sign to the next and anyone in the US can handle speeds of over 100 mph on the road on 65 top speed limit roads. 😉

  • Each project is very exciting. The advancements in manufacturing like the Giga castings are cutting edge for any auto manufacture and as far as I know Tesla is the only company daring to go with this new technology. The vans will be needed by many companies for deliveries and for large families. I always loved European sports cars and the Roadster is sharper than anything out of Europe. The Model Y and Cybertruck, and now even a Cyberquad! Not to mention the robotaxt and the Semi. All these are very exciting. Tesla is looking out for our future in many ways. No other company on earth is even close.

    • True… what’s more interesting is that car manufacturers mocked Tesla’s success, now most car manufacturers are making electrical vehicles. This technology has been around for decades but the oil industry wants fossil fuel vehicles to continue to exist despite new technology and advancement where oil, gas and harmful gases won’t be needed in our society. Big oil lobbyist don’t want electric cars on the road, but that’s all changing and the future is all electric, longer range, and better technology

      @nevadaxtube@nevadaxtube2 жыл бұрын
    • @@nevadaxtube The reason you didn't refute anything is because you cannot. 1: All of these batteries are mined, rare metal based. 2: Until recently there was almost ZERO recycling of any of the car batteries that are dumped when they go bad...but hey just dump them in some other country and we won't notice. People that commute daily and use charging stations can't control where the power comes from, very few states are powering these charging stations with wind/solar. If you charge your vehicle at night at your home, unless you have battery storage on the wall you are likely charging with coal/nat gas or wood burning power plants. That being said I really like Musk, I just don't think these electric cars are really "saving the world" like all of you mislead sheep do...they just aren't. If we wanted to instantly stamp out most of the C02 problem from coal nuclear does that, it's just still the boogie man due to the new industry (billions will be made off solutions that hurt the planet even more). The other huge problem that needs to be solved is how people without a garage can handle an electric vehicle. So just like the car, the Optimus robot will be able to learn just like you and I and all of the other people with functioning brains, can learn from each other, and from their respective environments, the car and the Optimus robot, and everything that Tesla does will use autonomous AI technology. It will not necessarily need you to tell it what to do, as it will automatically be able to go or do things on its own unless, of course, you instructed not to do something or you give it new instructions on what you would like it to do, but unlike you or I, the optimist, robotic, AI driven brain will have total an instant recall, in other words it will never forget anything, and it’s memory will be admissible in a court of law, something I suspect will be a hotly debated subject, as this technology continues to be rolled out to the public. So imagine if you were to commit a crime, and the Optimus robot that you own knows about it, its memory will be admissible in a court of law, betcha you haven’t thought about that have you? Yeah that’s how different life is going to be as these products continue to be developed, and improved upon, because no one at this particular moment, that I am aware of has a level 4 or 5 autonomous capable driving car, but if we’re going to get there, and I believe we will, my money is on Tesla to get there before anyone else does. • Transition to an electric economy is a noble goal. The reality is there is no where near enough generating capacity to support this transition. Wind and solar will not be able to fill the need for reliable energy supply. Battery tech is nowhere close to energy storage requirements at an economic cost. The achievable solution to an electric economy is standardized small to medium size nuclear power plants (including thorium). Wind and solar have their place but are not capable of doing the heavy lifting in the time frame environmentalists demand. Using nuclear as the cornerstone of an electric economy will provide abundant carbon free energy at an affordable cost. Nuclear power has minimal impact because it delivers large amounts of energy in a small space. "Green economy" supporters advocate using less energy as the price of going green. A recent study published by the Lancet concludes that cold kills far more people than heat. The Lancet proposes that plentiful energy can not only protect from both extremes it has the side benefit of raising the overall standard of living. This is in contrast to "green" plans that advocate sharing the misery by having less instead of using our knowledge to elevate everyone to a better life. I will close by noting that nuclear power is by far the safest energy source in existence.
