Tesla Cybertruck: Here's Why Only Geniuses Like It

Tesla intends to shake up the massive light duty truck category with a Cyperpunk inspired electric pickup truck that looks like a pointy metal box, but accelerates like a super car, and tows like a Mack truck.
🔥We Built The Ultimate Tactical Combat Cybertruck: • Military Tesla Cybertr...
The acclaimed Cybertruck is a fully electric pickup truck that does not only impress through its completely unique and not so subtle design, but also through the virtually indestructible nature of its exoskeleton. Musk's postapocalyptic lorry is made out of Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel, one of the most durable materials known to man.
Ok, so the bodywork is impenetrable, you cannot dent or scratch it, but what about the windows? Of course, they are made out of Tesla armor glass, and Elon referred to them as "transparent metal." Despite the small hiccup during the unveiling that was likely caused by microfractures caused by the previous overzealous sledgehammer strikes, Tesla armor glass is way stronger that any standard window glass on comparable pickup trucks and can even stop small arms fire, or presumably, a 2X4 from slamming through the windshield on the highway.
Tesla says: "The Cybertruck is designed to have the utility of a truck and the performance of a sports car." and they intend to deliver on that lofty statement. With a whopping range of over 500 miles on a single charge, Cybertruck drivers will not suffer from range anxiety. A proposed solar roof charger may add even more range to this electric beast. The Indestructible Cybertruck plus a solar roof equals sustainable living in case of an apocalypse. It seems that Elon has everything planned!
The most impressive spec of the Cybertruck is definitely its mind-bending acceleration that can take the polygonal metal box from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. This pickup is amazingly swift, the tri-motor model even beating a Porsche 911 off the line! Compared with the fastest gasoline pickup truck in the world, namely the Toyota Tundra TRD supercharged that can do 0 to 60 in only 4.4 seconds, Tesla's e-truck is definitely reinventing the category.
Rumor has it that with the Plaid mode activated, the Cybertruck will have an output of 800 horsepower and 1000 pound-feet of torque, these specs being way more impressive than the 500+ horsepower and 550-pound feet of torque of the Supercharged tundra. Electric beats gasoline and that's the new truth that we're all just going to have to accept in the years to come.
When it comes to the towing capacity, the tri-motor Cybertruck wins again, as is expected. With over 14,000 pounds of towing capacity it outperforms the previous king: the 2020 Ford F-150, that has an available conventional tow rating of 13,200 pounds. The RAM 1500 is also left behind with 12,750 pounds, as well as the GMC Sierra with 12,500 pound towing capacity . All in all, the Cybertruck is on a sure journey to dethrone the classic behemoths that have been ruling the pickup market until now.
It's a more than capable off-road electric truck that comes equipped with compressed air and on board power.
For an enhanced and safer off road experience, the Cybertruck comes equipped with adjustable air suspension that give it 16 inches of ground clearance and that, together with the low front and rear overhangs, will give the Cybertruck the best approach and departure angles in its class (35 and 28 degrees, respectively). In comparison, the 2020 Ford F-150 has a maximum approach angle of 25.8 degrees and a maximum departure angle of 27.1 degrees. In practice, this means that the Cybertruck can go over obstacles and drive on sloping routes without even the slightest chance of tipping over.
The 3500 pound payload of the Cybertruck and the 100 cubic feet of lockable compartments enrich the already loaded spec list and make this electric truck a winning choice for the price point of 70,000 dollars. This e-truck features the best from all worlds: sports car-like 2.9 seconds acceleration, monster-like 14,000-pound towing capacity, excellent offroad performance, and, of course, Tesla proprietary smart technology that puts it one step ahead of all its competitors.
A standard autopilot function comes by default with the Cybertruck but for an extra $7,000 you can benefit from the full-autonomous, self-driving tech that could make this immense truck smart enough to approach the driver when summoned or to simply drive itself on the highway. As you've probably already guessed, the iconic central touchscreen tablet is present in the Cybertruck as well, the 17 inch screen will be the control panel that will command each and every one of the car's functions, exactly like the Model S, Model 3 or Model X.

    • @@seanstrack4022 The reason he compared it to the Tacoma/Tundra was because he initially made a statement about their 0-60 times -- previously the supercharged Toyota is the leading truck in it's class, however the cybertruck would soon rival/beat it. In this sense he also wanted to show how the cybertruck can deliver in many different ways -- where it can be fast, it can also be powerful; in contrast to the Tundra that can only really be fast, with limited towing power... or another truck that can have big hp, torque, and towing numbers, but hella slow 0-60. Not trying to validate his information, just trying to theorize why he chose to berate the Tundra against the freight train.

Now I have taken a better look at all the features and the look is growing on me. 500 miles in range, self driving, air ride suspension, bullet proof, the bed covers and locks, amazing sun roof, giant touch screen, free fuel at super chargers, potential solar panels that to charge itself if needed, really what’s not to like about it. There is nothing legitimate not like about it except for maybe the color but you can wrap that. I am looking forward to what I maybe able to do off road, since it will be replacing my Ford Raptor.

Same for the bullshit on "microfractures" at 1:30 as at 1:45 the window on the door that was not hammered breaks too. This shows how some con artists like Musk think that the general population is stupid. Here in Europe anybody that bought a Tesla soon realized it's basically a toy, there is no real use for it if not on one or two previously known courses in which you actually make it with a charge...if you have an emergency or a detour because of something unexpected you are fucked snd end up stranded somewhere with no battery. It's not an actual vehicle in the sense that you can rely on having the mobility that you need, it's a toy you can use only on carefully planned occasions otherwise you'll need a tow truck. Let's put it as it is...it will take another 20-30 years for infrastructures to be ready for electric cars to be useful and not a pian in the ass, let's face it. And also let's talk about the fact that the world power grid will need to output 3 times the actual MW it carries...until then electric cars are just fancy toys. Car manufacturers (and Tesla) have thrown billions out of the window in the past 12 years on them and don't want anybody to say this out loud.

There will be no "electric cars" without a proper electric infrastructure that can make them actually more feasable and actually reliable than now, if the car runs out of battery you're stuck so zero reliability until the range will be at least 5-600km...we already have to charge a myriad of electronnic devices, having to charge your car every day or worse 2-3 times a day is a nightmare (and if you skip one, you're in trouble). With that said all major car manufacturers, especially in Europe and Asia, have DOZENS of electric models ready ranging from the cheapest citycar to absurd supercars or 18wheelers but they are waiting for th emarket to be actually there, today it's not, electric mobility is making it's way as a personal city device but not as a proper car, people who own an electric car genrally have another one or two with normal combustion engines...the electric one is more of a fancy accessory. Of course electric mobility is the future but it's not "tomorrow" (rather 15-20 years from now) IMHO and very possibly a tiny company like Tesla will be outrun by far larger and more experienced competitors that also can leverage their Brand recognition in their respective market branches (for a sedan people will always prefer a BMW or Mercedes rather than a Tesla, for an offroad people will always prefer a Jeep or Land Rover, for a sportscar if you could afford it would you buy a Tesla or a Ferrari?).

  • What makes explosive acceleration a selling point in a truck? Also, what is the purpose of a bulletproof exterior? Is self-driving mode capable of backing with a trailer? What will range be like when towing a load? What happens to door and bed conceal closures if the unit body is distorted by a loading accident or other stresses? Will the hardened exterior interfere with minor mods needed for special applications in the field? Will minor mods or emergency field repairs void the warranty? No answer to these and other questions until the thing enters production and finds itself applied to the kinds of work for which trucks are used.

As well as a marketing genius, since all eyes will tune in to say WOW The stainless steel body, the electric clean energy w/ 0 emission driving will surely put a smile on anyone getting to drive a CyberTruck to work. 100% love the idea of the Solar Panel backing, adding potential miles of range daily, there'll be days where driving to go pick up work equipment from the shop &/or groceries will be done fully with energy/fuel coming from our sun ☀️

    • You should see the process of making lithium ion batteries and the shipping lanes it takes to make them. You and your entire family could all drive Hummers and do less damage to the environment than it does to make the batteries that these require. Not to mention when you charge your power is being supplied via Coal, or nuclear power plants. Wonderful for the environment.
