Each tennis player has her own style. Serena, Sharapova, Azarenka, Halep and others also screamed and have been among the best in the World. There are no dramas here, only people expressing emotions.

@@jakubbogusz149 Little tennis you´ve seen. In every WTA and ATP match, the players celebrate when they win a point, whether is a winner or an opponent mistake. This is the norm today. These are not the times of Connors or Navratilova when only the winners were celebrated. Even the crowd applauds when one player makes a mistake, celebrating that the other player has won the point. Also the audience makes dramas or is a part of the game?

On clay i think she can win Madrid, Rome and RG if she can keep this form. On hard she is not unbeatable or nearly that. Rybakina can beat her, Krejcikova in a final and Sabalenka if she is on a very good day

She has a game that is unstoppable but I can’t point out any obvious reasons why. I think it’s because of how relentless both of her groundies are. Consistent aggression, with a lot of spin, way more spin than most female players use. It’s almost getting boring seeing her dismantle opponents constantly lol. Not since 2015 serena has the WTA had such a dominant world number 1.

@@jboww2121 If you look at her footwork it's easy to see why. She's always moving and always ready which puts her in comfortable positions to hit her precision groundstrokes. She has by far the best defense and shot preparation in WTA rn thanks to her footwork and natural speed
She worked so hard, for so long, playing through tears, just so some idiot like you can call her a freak. Work ethic. Write it down.
Kudermetova was on the brink of tears towards the end of the second set. I was, obviously, rooting for Iga, but that is never a pleasant thing to see.
Well, she seriously tried to make some games in the second set, but resiliance was futile.
I like Kudermetova but IS is just too much for her.

Iga is a force of nature. Her intensity is incredible! She dictates all the points, goes for the lines every time, making her opponent do all the running. She could become the GOAT in the future imho.

I think a big problem that the other women have against Iga is that they are so content to hit balls down the middle to find rhythm or find an opening and Iga with her extreme grip is going to take that first middle ball and move it around and get them out of position. Elena is the only woman who doesn't need or feel compelled to hit all those middle balls that Ig just pounces on. Until the other ladies make this change, Iga is going to stay dominate, especially on the clay.

I really like both these young ladies but it was no surprise Iga won. However, I really like Kudermetova and hope she wins a tournament in the future. She really needs to gain more consistency before she can challenge the top players. Plus, her game is more suited to hard courts. Iga moves effortlessly on clay.

She was really out of sorts and not able to hold serve in set 1 and 3. She’s been very easily broken all season tbh and she fought back many times, also playing doubles all the time. She might be really fatigued at this stage

Sometimes Iga needs to struggle a bit like she did against Alexandrova to get angry and hyper-focused. She has looked untouchable the last two matches. I want to see this all the time!
In every tournament Iga has one match like this. And in the final she is IGA. 🎉
Let's be honest, Kudermetova is a very favorable matchup for Iga, but then again, who apart from the selected few isn't? The vastly improved Aryna is one of them, so it shouldn't be that easy tomorrow, especially when Iga's 1st delivery is like yesterday in set 1, i.e. below 40%

the history of H2H between the players sometimes says a lot about the result of their next match... so matches against Aleksandrova will always be longer for Iga than against Kudermetova... Veronika played well in the second set, she was close to winning a few games more...

Probably the most interesting moment of the match was the drop shot played by Swiatek at 0:50, I haven't seen her play drop shots since Wiktorowski became her coach. It would be good to add it back to her repertoire, especially for grass (along with slice, on which Swiątek is already working, there's some improvement)

It’s an idea…. But as they say, if it’s not broken don’t fix it! She dominates on clay without it and changing her style might disrupt the game plan. She throws her opponents corner to corner with power strokes and goes for lines which works quite well.

@@fuschia4306 at 21 she has time to figure out grass I believe. She's never gonna dominate you know, but with her dedication and favorable draw I see a a deep run at Wimbledon one day.
I thought the most interesting moment of the match was the very short handshake between Iga, wearing a small Ukrainian flag on her cap, and the Russian.

This is getting kinda crazy! Only Sabalenka seems to have the same competitive spirit match after match. Everyone else just seems to fold pretty quickly. She's so fast and offensive minded that when a less than perfect rally ball comes over the net, she wacks it into the corner and starts to dominate the point.
