  • Little clarification! At 5:36, The one on the second slide is the new one, while the one with the tree is the old one :) I personally prefer the tree, but I do think it needs some new colors.

  • Hi Jack, I just thought that I would let you know that the dots on the star on the Australian concept flag are referencing a style of art that was used by the traditional peoples of Australia, as well as the colour scheme which which is heavily inspired by colours used in traditional Aboriginal paintings. :)

  • I love the flag of Nauru 🇳🇷 it's so simple but has so much meaning. The line is the equator and the star is the island. The star is given 12 points to show Nauru's original 12 tribes and the white color is even supposed to symbolized their phosphate industry. Just goes to show less can be more in flag design

  • Personally I love the second one because it represents the native people (the Aboriginal people) with the colours on their flag(red, yellow and black) but I think it should include green blue and white colours for the other native people( the Torres Straight Island people) but overall it's a great flag with elements from the old flag and new things such as new colours and the boomerang representing the Aboriginal people and also the dots on the yellow star are from the aboriginal peoples painting(dot paintings)

  • Jack, Maine changed its flag from the tree flag to the current moose flag. Not the other way around. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I'm pretty sure that it happened because a lot of people thought that state flags should be less independent because they're states (which is kinda stupid, I mean look at the New Mexico and Utah flags they're awesome) so they made the flag generic

  • *the Aussie one there IS something missing. There’s nothing. About Aboriginals, those who’ve always been there and persecuted for centuries! Less British but also still not Abo! It’s just one western star and the Southern Cross… which means even worse than the current one (not the Southern Cross part of course)* 8:40 YESS!🖤💛❤️ That one is great!
