I mean of all the bosses Orphan of Kos probably has one of the best reasons to scream; he literally just clawed his way out of his Mom's decaying corpse, found her dead by some cruel humans and exploited for her Blood's powers. He doesn't even get time to properly grieve or get used to the world because a crazy guy in a Trench Coat (the Player) comes along to try and murder him

@@normanbestboi9117 difficulty isn't everything in a fight. Besides you have a choice if you want to trivialize a boss or not, just like all soulsborne games. Even malenia can be stun locked and cheesed.
Jev really learned his lesson from his first Elden Ring mage run grabbing the biggest stunlock sword he can and that monstrous health bar
Pretty sure the hunters nightmare is where hunters who have gone mad or blood drunk go when they die. Laurence and ludwig were notable hunters, but ended up as beasts due to their use of the old blood. Also crazy how the holy moonlight greatsword restored a bit of humanity in Ludwig despite his beastly state. Honestly all of the bloodborne lore is just all really tragic and miserable, its all despair. But still badass. Also yeah, I think Gerhman was in luv wit lady maria n modeled the doll after her. He a lil bit weird but ay, thats what an eternity in the hunters dream does to someone i guess. He even tells you to use the doll if it pleases you..

Another cool detail is if you take advantage of the visceral Ludwig gives when he’s about to die and kill him, he’ll scream in agony like a human but if you just continue to attack him without doing a visceral on him, he goes out screaming like a horse
He made the doll to have a companion only for her to be nothing like maria hence why he doesn't interact with her at all

The “do nothing” alter is the end of Alfreds quest, he kills Annalise at Cainhurst and you take her bloody mess to that alter which respawns her back at Cainhurst.

Jev the bloodhounds step teleport Maria was doing is because of an item you can find in the abandoned workshop (where you found the doll clothes), it’s called the old hunter’s bone.

Put the Crown of Illusions on and stand by Logarius's throne. You'll meet someone and find an unopened summons to Cainhurst. Take the unopened summons to Alfred and go back. You'll see something pretty brutal and will be able to pick up something you can take back to the Altar of Despair. 👍 - Beasts are weak to fire. Hence why the fire papet gelped you absolutely destroy Ludwig . - Gehrman and Maria used to he scholars at Byrgenwerth together and they became very close friends. Once all hunters became cursed and Gehrman became a slave to the Hunter's Dream (due to lore that takes a long time to explain), he was very lonely and made the doll so he'd have a friend. He asked the Great One Moon Presence to bring the doll to life so he'd have someone to interact with. - Just because it's interesting - The Old Hunter Bone (hunter tool) is confirmed to be the bone of Lady Maria. - Also the reason why some attacks are one-shottint you is because Bloodborne has counter damage. You take A LOT more damage if you get hit while dodging/running/attacking. Sometimes just tanking the hit is the difference between living or dying. If you know you can't dodge an attack, just stand still and get hit by it. You'll probably survive. I've studied the lore of this game for YEARS and it is insanely immersive and incredibly detailed.
The Rom head behind Ebrietas is part of a questline. There's an "unkillable" NPC that can be resurrected by reversing the flow of time, somehow.

Everytime I watch Ludwig boss fight and the second phase music kicks it my God that shit slaps so hard. BTW if you want the holy moonlight Sword you do have to kill Ludwigs head after the fight

Yes, if he already beat Sekiro I think Lies of P would be great. I would say that it's slightly harder than Bloodborne, I never felt overpowered in Lies of P.

The Bloodborne DLC for me is where they really cooked up some stuff. I think its clear that they were the blueprints for the bosses to come in the future that they refined and polished into more modern styles in games like Elden Ring, there's just something about Maria and Kos that remind me in particular of Malenia. Maria has like a lot of the same attacks including a long combo that looks stunningly similar to the start of waterfowl. She also uses bloodflame that would become Mohg's thing. Always deepened my love for this game and the DLC seeing how they took what they tested here and turned it into even more amazing bosses. Also Maria is such a cool looking fight, I love her lore and how she moves and the abilities she uses, if Redahn and Malenia weren't so incredible she'd be my favorite souls boss of all time
Honestly I think Isshin and orphan are the peak of fromsoft boss design. Their versatile movesets are awesome, and they really punish you for not having mastery of the mechanics.
If you’re wondering about the lord of orphan of kos I got you. I’ll keep the backstory simple but his lord in depth. Basically a long time ago aliens came to this planet and they hid in the chalice dungeons. They were brought out by humans and humans would harvest there blood because there blood would heal any cancer or problem they had it was the cure all of medicines but if you used it enough it would turn you into a monster beast. Orphan of kos mother was a great one she was one of the aliens that came to this planet and she was hunted down and killed by fishermen. Her body was dragged back and destroyed. Orphan of kos killed them using the weapon you see which is the placenta from his mother. He created the hunters nightmare to punish the hunters that killed his mother and now kills any hunters that come here. Some of this may be a little wrong because it’s been a while since I freshened up on Bloodborne lord.
I’ll also go into the lore of some of the other bosses in this video
Ludwig, he was a hunter just like you. When people were getting blood vials from The great ones and using them to cure illness they would go mad after a long time like a zombie apocalypse almost and turn into beasts. Hunters were created to go out in the night and kill the beasts and clean up the city and towns so that people wouldn’t notice. It go so bad that people obviously did and hunters were more out and around during this time. He was the first hunter of the healing church which was the church giving out the blood vials. He later turned into the monsters he killed.
Orphan didnt make the nightmare, the fisherman didnt kill kos' mother. The members of the college of whatever its named came to the fisherman's village when they heard the fisherman had somehow snagged a great one. The fishermen were subjected to experiments and depravity at the hands of the college, who killed kos' mother. The fishermen prayed for help, so the hunter's nightmare was born, locking all hunters and their kin into a blood soaked world where they will undeniably go mad.

My favorite part of ludwig is he's a direct inversion of most of the bosses. Most bosses start off as human like hunter and become more bestial where as he starts off more like a beast and remebers who he is half way through and then fights more like a hunter

Fire is only effective against beasts, so if you're fighting beasts like Ludwig use fire, and if you fight non beasts like Maria or Orphan, us bolt

Also, the hunters nightmare is where blood drunk hunters go after they die, and my theory on why Laurence is on fire is because after he transformed into a cleric beast, his own people killed him with fire and that went with him into the nightmare. @@DevnMEleven I just beat the DLC today, I was expecting it to be super hard based on all the hype but I literally 1st tried every boss apart from Orphan who took me about 10+ (had him down to one hit on 3rd try but got greedy). Honestly thought it would be a lot harder based on all the hype (still fantastic DLC though). But DS3 DLC, specifically Midir (who I must have died at least 30+ times to) was a lot tougher.

Just answering the altar of despair question, there’s a few steps to do but nothing crazy, At the very back of Martyr Logarius’ boss room, equip the crown of illusions to unlock a secret area Inside the area is an NPC you can talk to to join her covenant Also here is an unopened summons, bring this to Alfred (the hunter you met just before forbidden woods) and he will go and k*ll the NPC (don’t panic you’re still fine) SPOILERS Where she was stood before will be an item, take that item to the altar of despair and it will bring the NPC back

I remember back when I first fought the Orphan. I could tell, almost immediately, that the devs knew how to time his attacks based on the dodging patterns of the player base up until that point. The way he hesitates almost like 1 second more than the average enemy is enough to let the player dodge out and still get hit. It was INSANE.

The altar of despair is related to Annalise, Queen of the vilebloods of Cainhurst. She can be found in an area behind Martyr Logarius' boss arena. I won't spoil it but basically if you progess Alfred's questline you can bring an item to the alter.
Jev in the fishing hamlet go inside a well near the beggining of the area the 'normal enemies' will give you a super hard fight (Its a 2 vs 1) and you can get the rakuyo (lady marias weapon) .If you dont know already killing ludwigs head gives you the moonlight greatsword
Likes this longer style video tbh, wouldnt mind them more often than the everyday shorter ones, feels more personal and like its an actual episode to a series.

The Big spider behind the daughter of cosmos is rom corpse. its used to resurrect a certain npc for a certain questline. Its not too important unless u want the katana weapon. Its cool tho recommend it
