    • Well sure, but he spent far too much time with Tom who was a bad influence. Plus the Kim from our universe died and was resurrected in another dimension. Then that kim died and was replaced by another Kim from a parallel universe who attacked the prime timeline Voyager and that Kim was killed and replaced by the one from the other crew. However we don't even know if the prime timeline exists anymore now that we have the unfortunate Kelvin timeline.

If those were only half as eventful as the first seven, that's an impact on the Delta and Beta quadrants. He can also change his appearance at whim, and his programme has both genius and the potential for alteration (ie. significant existential ones) as time goes on - what stories are yet to be told? How will his wife find him? Will he change to suit her? Will she adapt to him? So many stories to be told!

    • @Eliza V the prime timeline technically is the timeline without Admiral Janeways intervention that we saw in the final episode of Voyager. Since she went back and changed the outcome all future Star Trek plots basically occur in this new timeline. Since 7 of 9 is absent in this scene and present in ST:Picard we can assume that train wreck of a show occurs in the shitty non prime universe that Voyagers meddling created. I like to think the last we saw of the "Prime" timeline was our TNG crewmembers sitting down to a poker game while the majestic Enterprise D sails off into a bright hopeful galaxy. Or maybe the Root Beer conversation between Quark and Garak. Back when Trek could be dark and edgy while at the same time being well written and compelling. We felt invincible in those days. It was less heavy and more fun than its predecessor, with a glamorous romantic sensibility. During the heinous Bush era I felt Janeway's tone was growing desperately compassionate, unreasonably defending the welfare of all sentient beings. When the Occident sank to it lowest possible depth in 2008, I lost all faith in Roddenberry's Star Trek vision and now have no interest in anything future series have to say.

The episode talked about the tragedies endured to get them home then Janeway goes BACK in time to correct her BAD decisions and save the lives of crew members. I believe that Janeway felt DEEP regret about her initial choice about stranding Voyager in the DELTA Quadrant by helping to destroy The Caretaker NO matter what everyone said. This poignant beginning of the series finale helped setup the two part conclusion.

  • This still bothers me so much and it sums up everything I hate about Janeway. That child Harry is speaking to will probably never been born cause of her actions. She thinks she so high and mighty. Picard would never have done this.

    • That only happens in the alternate timeline where Starfleet only build a single spaceship model and androids switch between "Let's all be friend" and "Kill all biological lifeforms in the Galaxy" several times within an hour.

    • @@bernb Having the same model ship never bothered me. It's supposed to be their state of the art warship, why bring anything else but your best when war with the Romulans might occur ?
