When McGuigan and Frampton met at Fight Camp, it looked like the classic best mates who have spoken for ages and still wanting to be mates but just know the past will never let them forget.
Carl Frampton has always come across as a genuine fella to me. From the outside looking in, I know who I would trust.

Shane comes across as a nice guy, just because everyone bus siding with Carl doesn’t mean Carl is completely in the right. The people demanded Christ be crucified.
It's quite simple. The trainer works for the boxer. In this case Shane is actually acting as promoter and trainer. The money is paid to the boxers by the promoter. There in lies the problem.
@Ice Cream Wet Dream it is the problem. It shouldn't be allowed. It's a conflict of interest and with this set up it's bound to happen. The promoter is responsible for the purse. Which should be deposited prior to the fight in escrow or guaranteed in some manner. Basically the simple math for example is promoter deposits 1million for purse. Then the trainer charges said boxer 1million on costs, labour, and fees. Boxer gets zero. If promoter = trainer then all the trainer has to do is invent costs at the time of invoicing which is going into the promoters hand, acting as a trainer. It's basically unethical

Funny how Shane only had 11 Amatuer bouts but becomes a so called world class trainer, training fighters who were Amatuers on the world stage, IE what experience and expertise can he show them when they are naturally gifted so will always have that foundation even if McGuigan shows them bad bad habits... Frampton said they would over train him, classic sign of no boxing experience at the top Amatuer level...I wouldn't trust em as far as I could throw them...

This guy is very bitter.
It's a shame his family are so corrupt as he's a very good trainer. Frampton cut his stick and got hugely compensated for their wrongdoings - Josh Taylor also left due to wrongdoings. These are good guys in the business yet both say the same story. Very dodgy dealings. I love how he likes to use the "Trying to stay relevant" card - Frampton had an amazing career, far superior to anything shane will achieve as a trainer and he is also a formidable pundit with BT and very knowledgeable. Shane and his dad (who was a national hero) who i don't even like to mention can get f****d.
