I'm so glad SAS spoke about his dyslexia struggles in his earlier years...I went through the same thing and had to jump so many hoops to get to where I am now ✊🏾
Yeah its kember walker and ime udokar.
I have that too in my early years. The educational school system wasn't that good of a help. I had to develop a passion for reading books on my own. Fast forward to now I'm reading books by dr. Claud Anderson, dr. Frances cress welsing, dr. Shaharazad Ali, ice berg slim, tariq nasheed books, etc...
@@getithowyoulive2. thats interesting brother. I think a lot of us black folk didn't get help (and still happens today in the school system) it took one caring white teach to realise the potencial in me whilst other teachers would say you'll end up in jail or working in fast food (there's nothing wrong with working in fast food). Since she helped me I then went to uni, graduated with a degree and masters and I'm now working in digital marketing...who would of thought ay for this "dummy" 🤷🏾♂️

Love this interview been following him since a kid. Hearing him fail a grade and everyone laughing at him, hearing his experience as a student at a hbcu, even getting fired from Espn. This man is amazing and as a black man im very happy for him to be my distance mentor.

What Stephen A said about protecting yourself and having some common sense was SO ON POINT. He should scream it in the back for people who can't hear! Ego will get you in trouble every damn time. The story he told about the finals and 3 women, too good to be true, who sent you...genius. When you are in positions like this or those of us in everyday life, you have to think before acting on everything!
Integrity test and lust is one of the seven deadly sins for a reason...
100% you have to also know not everyone wants you to succeed.
I was saying this the other day, ego will destroy you, humble yourself, be socially aware and keep your integrity. Walk in the power of God and Love, & you will be fine.
Only women will seriously look at this embarrassing version of a black man as being humble or someone without an ego because he acts like y'all and we wonder why our women are so lost now a days, look at who y'all consider a real man but real men can't stand someone like Stephen A Smith. we know what he's about and the harm he does on national television representing our race. it's not about an individualized mindset it's about a community. the other races understand that but we hate thinking like a community and a lot of y'all women love to be individuals. Y'all love to use that "respect my feelings" crap when y'all want to do things that embarrasses our race but justify it with that crappy feeling notion.
SAS said, "You think I haven't had opportunities to get wit folks that's in the industry? I ain't playing that game. *THEY AIN'T WORTH MY CHECK.* They ain't worth what I built to try and accomplish for myself." 🔥💯 That's disciplining your flesh to retain your career!! I thought I was the only black person from my generation that looked up to Bryant Gumbel. People used to look at me crazy when I said it. I majored in broadcast journalism because of watching him on the Today Show.
Why? That's kinda nuts. 🤣
We as a community loved him.
Bryant Gumbel is a beast. I enjoyed seeing him travelers the world enjoying good food & drinks. He spoke the truth on the bell curve book, the Rodney king riots, the portrayal of Arabs as terrorists in Hollywood. He stayed classy and his speech to Howard University graduates is an all time favorite.
Bryant was one of the few that inspired me to major in journalism as well-not on the broadcast side, but I love what I do!
Wow, Candy I just remembered. Yeah, he was on that show. Love his voice and the way he carry’s himself. A genuine character of a man.

Stephen A. is a clown. How in the hell could the Celtics have fired Udoka, the Black coach that just led the team to the finals in his first year, without giving a reason? The story would've come out publicly no matter what or the Celtics would've have had a bigger problem to keep his firing private. Stephen A. jumped the gun WITHOUT knowing the facts and his ego will not allow him to see himself as the 🤡🤡 that he is.
I used to not rock with SAS but over the years, I have grown to really like this man. He said what he says and stands on his own 2 feet about it. Gotta respect him whether you agree or not.

Damn this interview had a lot of Gems. The H.R. issue put it all in perspective. Because it's absolutely true. I've worked in sports and this happens because you're literally around the team more than your family. I wasn't around the execs but this happened with players and female staffers on the road. You never hear them publicize it, you just notice the staffer getting fired and the player getting traded or cut. Then you're like ooooh the rumor was true. Celtics definitely wanted this brother gone. It's a private organization. They didn't even have to say anything. But I assume the Husband wanted it out and the team said ok.
If they wanted him gone, they would've cut him.

If a man slept with your wife would you not destroy him? Even if it was your friends wife and y’all worked together you would still destroy and make sure he never works again. Plus that why would you hire a man that throws his career over some pussy, really? After he probaly that had more ass then the law allows.
I keep hearing about his chances are ruined from ever working in the NBA, but here’s my question, why would you hire a man that throws away the potential to make 200m over the life of a coaching career, over some sex. The. You sleep with the executive wife, now remember white are not like black men, they stick together and they will bring your black ass to the grown. Most men black or white would do exactly the same if a man slept with your wife most men would want to commit murder. But you see this white man had power , and he will go nuclear.
