    • @@joshuaj.2108when Rodgers played in GB he had great receivers and running backs. The defense was awesome with Charles Woodson, AJ Hawk, and more that escapes my mind. I don't recall Greenbay's only appearance whereas their all pro defensive tackle held out, the receivers had the dropsies and did have a number one all year and won the Super Bowl. No hit on Rodgers but Mahomes is him.

  • In my opinion, Mahomes doesn't need to tie Brady 7 rings or surpass him with 8 to be called the G.O.A.T. (For me) all he needs to do is do 3 things Brady didn't do in his 23yr career. (1) Win next year's Super Bowl and 3-peat. (2) Win his sixth Super Bowl ring in half the time it took Brady***Brady won his sixths in his 19th Season. Mahomes just finished his 7th year as a player and 6th as a starter with 3 SB wins. So, all he needs to do is win 3 in the next six years. (3) Not lose multiple Super Bowls. *** Brady was 7-3 in SB*** If Mahomes goes 6-1 and retires in his 12th or 13th year as a starter. After just winning his 6th ring. He would walk off as the G.O.A.T.

    • I think the hardware factor can get blown out of proportion. Russell is the greatest winner with 11 championships but no one would put him over Jordan with 6 rings. Big Ben has 2 rings, but he wasn't a better QB than Marino with no rings. In terms of just pure talent, it's hard to argue that Rodgers isn't right there. Put him on those Brady Pats' teams or the Chiefs teams now and he would have all the hardware. Sometimes, it's all about where you land.

  • He's wining when he shouldn't. Take that into account when you're also considering how innovative he is, how competitive he is, how determined he is. He has the will to win... but it takes more than that to win as a team. It all has to come together for the whole team to win. He and his team are doing it when they shouldn't. It's only going to get better for him. If they add one good WR, if they resign Jones, if they resign Sneed, they're going to have a great D for years to come. When Reid retires, when Kelce retires, he is paving the way for success by showing that he can win when the team isn't at it's best. He's going to make every team he plays on better and this last year, the lack of weapons, he's going to get better. He'll have more weapons next year. He'll win more MVPs, he'll win more SBs and more SB MVPs, he's going to go down as the GOAT and as odd as it sounds, it will not even be close. After what Brady did, seeing Mahomes do something even more special, it's going to be hard to fathom.

  • You want to know why he's the best ever and better than Brady? Brady never won with a big contract. Mahomes is now 2-0 in Superbowls where he carried the biggest cap hit in the league. There were a couple years in that 10 year stretch when Tom wasn't winning Superbowls where he had at least a top 10ish contract. Couldn't win.

The proof is that Alex Smith was in MVP discussions when he was starting in the same regime, despite looking like a bust in the other 2 teams he played with. • Let's pump the brakes for a couple of years. If Patrick loses most of his mobility to become a pocket passer and he can still win Superbowls or compete for one, then I'll give him the crown. Brady was great because he was a total package minus the mobility. But he was still a top 5 quarterback every year because of intangibles and pocket presence. He used his mind also. Right now.Mahomes has everyone telling you how great he is instead of people.coming to that realization themselves.
