  • Hi. Former Muslim here. Nice suit and speech, by the way. I came across this video on my feed. Having watched it, I beg to differ. The fact that doubt and contentions to all religions (not only Islam) exist can only mean one thing and that is that the creator of the universe (or theoretical multiverse) wasn't successful in delivering his message to mankind. I was born in a Muslim family myself and became devout in my early teenage years all the way to when I was about 21. At that point I left Islam since I realized there is no concrete evidence to believe in it. Everything is basically based on your belief. If you believe in Islam, you'll always find a way to get around the problems of religion and Islam. We can argue philosophically for the necessity of a deistic God, sure. But to then say that this God revealed some messages to man is an extraordinary claim and the Quran does not suffice the onus. As most other religions, the majority of people who are Muslims today are so because of childhood indoctrination and because they were born and raised in Muslim families. Some people, like myself who are apostates, don't come out because of fear of rejection by their families and friends, persecution, execution (in Shariah governed lands). I can confirm that there are many who have left the religion. Islam is indeed the fastest growing religion, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's true since this is an argument from popularity It all comes around to one thing - God (Allah), who supposedly put us here for a test, has not fulfilled the first condition. That is that everyone right from the second of birth knows instantly that Islam is true and Allah is real. Without the need for any messengers or prophets or books or anything. It should have been absolute from the beginning. I know that Muslims believe in the Fitrah, but how can Fitrah ever be tarnished by the ''false religions''. Especially for someone like me who was born into this religion and then left it? I hope you can see where I'm coming from with this. Had I been a Hindu, or Christian or Jew or Buddhist or whatever, there would be little chance that I accept Islam. Yes, possibly, I might accept it, but it's a chance isn't it? It should have been clear before we came into this world that Islam is true. After all, isn't that what Islam says about pre-birth - that we chose life and to be human when God asked us? Why would he not allow us to retain that memory? ''Oh, because it's a test''. Right...

    • And Atatürk used to pray before going to war, his own adopted daughter Ülkü Adatepe said.

    • What makes you think Ataturk is something of an authority when it comes to religion? First I doubt he actually made that statement and looking at his quotes he is at times on both sides of the fence. Islam has surpassed Ataturk. Its a wonder he’s remembered at all.

    • @@obaidullahm6476 oneday you will be too , theres a saying in bengali "Ghute porey Gobor hashey" , ghute is the disc like product made from cowdung that was once used as fuel of cooking stove and gobor is the cowdung which is the raw material ghute is processed from , means the cowdung watching the ghute being burnt is laughing while oblivious to the fact it is also bearing the same fate as the ghute.
