  • OK, STOP right there! The F-18 flying low over the water is N-O-T vaporizing the water, that would require the water to be heated to it's boiling point. What is happening is that the existing water vapor in the air is being condensed into droplets that can be seen. This is quite a common occurrence with high speed aircraft. it's commonly known as 'compression trails'

  • 3:19 I'm pretty sure I've seen a clip of this and why they were grounded. They were told to stay 1000ft above the crowd, but were only a couple hundred feet above. The reason this happened was on accident. The pilot accidentally was using barometric altitude (System used to detect elevation above sea level) instead of using radar altitude. This is very sad because they were grounded permanently.

    @1tsM0XIE@1tsM0XIE23 күн бұрын
  • 00:20 - Technically speaking, the jet is not 'vaporizing' the water. The vapor cone (shock collar, shock egg) shown is caused by the condensation of moisture in the air by an object traveling at transonic speed. The same effect can be produced by space-bound vehicles.

    • You are Absolutely right.👍, also that the aircraft was breaking the sound barrier that was not correct, no sonic boom.

  • 7:54 It's not the "Flying Leaf", It's the "Falling Leaf" as the aircraft has minimal to zero horizontal speed while falling vertically. Also just known as a flat spin.

  • 9:19 - I was a flight test engineer for Boeing in the late 1980s, and flew on their 747-400 certification program. I was onboard for a stall / recovery test that went for about 6 hours. It's like a roller coaster ride in a metal tube, losing lift then diving and catching lift again, on repeat for hours. Some crew members did not do well on those flights but I found them to be fun after downing a few dramamines.

  • did you notice some of the cars did not even hit brakes with plane landing in front of them and one person (I resisted the temptation to call them something else) even blew their horn at them as they passed by.....now that truly is unbelievable I doubt the jet was going 700 mph and banking that sharp - the G forces would have made the pilot black out. I've seen them bank that sharp at airshows but they were going well below 200mph, probably closer to 140 or so.

    @lw216316@lw21631611 күн бұрын
  • A little misleading at 2.45 as you have two passenger jets passing each other at lets say 600mph which would give a visual speed of 1200mph from the window of either jet as the other one passes .. if you were stationary it would not look as fast

So, if the parked plane, parked in the wrong location, that pilot would be at fault here. When you are in a plane it is impossible to know where the tip of that wing is because of the 3D effect looking out the window at the pilot's position.
