All those people defending using XIM on console by saying: “They can’t tell me how to play; Can’t afford a PC; and/or this the way the game is meant to be played” have been reeeaalll quiet…

exactly. most of these mnk users been around since year 3 or before so they know whos using it to cheat. all they have to do is look at kd and win rate to prove themselves a proper ban but they wont. also them going to pc also doesnt help because they also cheat using a macro or something else to have no recoil.

Not cheating to play the game the way the pros do
XIM made a workaround within a couple of weeks to deceive mousetrap last time so I’m not confident ubi can actually detect it when this drops. I hope it works, I’d definitely come back to the game if it does
It only works if they get mousetrapped. There will be a work around and barely anyone will get detected.. it sucks man

I really hope this updated cheater penalty and tracking doesn't get delayed. We have it bad enough on PC
I can see the argument from both sides, siege is a serious game needing a fair amount of skill & game knowledge to succeed. Being obliterated by a high sense player with a spoofing device is not a fair playing field if your the one on the controller. If you could have 2 separate lobbies, 1 for controller, 1 for MNK (xim) you are automatically placed in the correct type once the game senses what you are using then we could have a more fairer playing field. This would be also more profitable for the developers & Microsoft. Would stop players leaving, when players are happy they spend more on stuff like battle passes, elite operators & alpha packs etc etc! What Ubisoft is doing is just making the whole situation more complicated when all we want to do is just play RB6 the game we all love!

I was one of those who was flagged for cheating last year and i genuinely had to quit playing, idk why i was but i was noticing delays all the time and constantly going against cheaters while on console
tbh why just not make official support for mnk on consoles to be able to play on pc lobbies and make that you can connect controller on pc to play in console lobbies
Sorry to break it with ya but I don’t think that should be allowed why? Because pc have hackers so there is a chance that they might be using cheat for wall hack or no recoil control crap.
People would still use the xim though most of them are scared of an equal playing field that why they cheat
The point of Xim is to play on an uneven playing field, removing that advantage and letting them play together won't make those losers happy.

I don't think they scan for the actual hardware for mousetrap because I'm legit roller and I get that fucling latency all the damn time
Why don’t they do what COD does and separate lobbies by input instead of device. That way I could play with my console friends when I plug in a controller. The system lets console players play with pc, but not the other way around

This would be great if they pull it off. I have been saying this for years. My friends are on ps5 but i get destroyed by xim users. On pc it feels much more enjoyable gameplay wise but my friends arent on pc so i just rarely play at all these days.

The people who use Xim would still use it. They want an unfair advantage over controller players.
As someone that never plays Ranked (takes too long and is usually lopsided), just don't make these suspected cheaters do penance in Quickmatch. Ban them or send them to PC. We've had way too many of the cheaters dipping back into Quickmatch because they have to. Also... please, put Quickmatch back to what it was. This new version sucks.

They should allow players on console to plug their mouse and keyboard in normally but it would force them into pc lobbies with pc recoil. A lot of XIM players would quit XIM because of all the latency and other issues if they could play normally on pc.
Mnk on console is big but not that big ive been accused of mnk just bc my sensitivity is high and i play with my wlite controller. They should do the same thing as warzone and add full on support mnk on console and pair you with ones using mnk either on pc or console
Hold up, could we get a video on the difference in recoil between kb&m and controller?
I honestly wish they would implement performance enhanced matchmaking, where to say if you have the most assists you get a percentage boost of mmr for that game, or if you have the most deaths or most early round deaths you’d get docked, kinda like old over watch 1.0 where you’d get medals for performance but do it for pros and cons but the elo for lose and win is left unchanged.

I love this change it allows for people to play in ways that are more comfortable to them without harming others experience im hoping we could get something like this but for pc and people who play on controller.

Why invest so much time and effort into creating "Mousetrap" for XIM when it WILL be patched (as has been beofre for many games)? Just allow people to plug a mouse and keyboard in and put them and effort into a different division. Controller, PC, M&K console. if you ban something, there will always be away around it, invite it in, the cheapest easiest way wins.
I love how the devs complain about it being a TDM meta but they do things like add buffs and nerfs to attachments. So a** backwards, honestly laughable.

They should push Ximmers into PC lobbies... and they should be blocking them from ranked... but they should also make all ximmers play together, not on the same squad as PC players, they should just be left to queue until there is a 5 stack of ximmers all ready to go, then they can join a PC lobby... if that takes 10 hours then so be it, f**k em',let them queue.
But What If They Have A Work Around ?
Wanna play with a mouse and have an advantage on controller players? Nah how about you get matched against actual mnk players who have been playing on PC for years....lets see how you like that lol get a taste of your own medicine 😂
If there is no lag input that actually sounds amazing friends that are strictly console can now play with pc people fucking win in my books.
@@jimmysruffled Input lag will be visible as they will be playing against players with native mnk input. Plus they will still have a huge reflex disadvantage. they have 120+ 0.1 monitor (every pc gamer has one or fast refresh rates. Console player usually dont). On top of that...an in game feature will not be available: Hipfire leaning. On consoles, there is no way to lean without ads and in fast paced pc lobbies that will be a big disadvantage. XIM players thing they gonna like this change but have no idea what they bargained for. Also, as a PC player that came from console, their is a huge skill level and reflex level gap between the two platforms. Its going to be a nightmare for xim players
@@AceK21so why not just make it native to console? Take away the work arounds and just flat out let ubi detect you are on M an K slap them with all the rest of the keyboard players? Just seems like a missed opportunity to allow PC players that use controller to play with other controllers along with console players playing with other PC players.
@@jimmysruffled I have no idea...but its something people have been asking for for a while now. But for now, using mnk on console is considered cheating because by nature you have an unattainable advantage. There must be some logistical reasoning behind why they dont want to mix the player base.

Lets be honest: every single competitive multiplayer videogame does their cheating system poorly. I hate to accept the truth but cheaters will never go away. There's little reason for Ubishit to care whatsoever. We are left with two choices, either deal with a cheater once in a while, or never play these games again if it's THAT INFURIATING. Honestly, if it really sucks that hard, then stop, and you keep your money that you'd spend on games for something else.
Console full of zim n xim as a console n pc player who uses a controller its awful seeing people spin around to counter mouse trap or being snaped on your head with no recoil or bounce to theor gun.
They are not going to fix this issue 😊

Damn I gotta wait till s3 too laugh at XIM players when I play pc, and face actual legit players when I play console with my friends? That sucks.( Side note: They said nothing about cronus or anything? Everyone will just buy a cronus *eyeroll*. ) Plus, the cost of a brand new xbox or ps5 PLUS the actual XIM adapter, you can buy a pc that can run siege fine.

I hadn't ever heard of false positives on mousetrap. I would think the only way for that to happen is if your left joystick is broken and giving broken up, keyboard-like inputs. Mousetrap is nowhere near agrreisve enough for Ubi to use that as an excuse.

I'm really happy they are doing something. I think it would just be better to drop the ban hammer on these people. Maybe it's a legal issue to avoid a lawsuit by legit disabled gamers who use MnK for accessibility reasons?

Every game i play there must be 4 players on MnK i started to hate this game, It is totally unfair for us, we need them to ban C XIM at least we got rid of Cronus zen on Playstation but XIM is the big issue

I honestly think console would be a much better place if everyone used XIM. Console has major reduction in aimbot/wallhacks, and if everyone used XIM it would actually be more of a fair playing field than PC. Unfortunately many people don't understand this and so we have Ubisoft punishing half of their player base and just making Seige on console even more unbalanced than PC. Of course MnK has an edge, but there's nothing stopping console owners from using MnK. It's just Ubisoft trying to cater to the up most casual players. Who the hell wants to play on PC where you have aimbots in every lobby.

If it wasnt accurate it's still outrageous to have people locked from ranked and face other penalties, its not just ubi either i dont see any company straight up banning xim users. To me its a clear message from developers that they dont see xim cheating as the same as aimbotting/wallhacking ect... and that they dont think it should receive as severe penalties as a full ban.
