Hot damn she looks so much better than I expected. Not that she’s not amazing but the American cup is usually a mess because it’s sort of early still and the gymnast are still tweaking their routine.

It's a perfect routine. I was watching the routines of the chinese team, they are good but Sumisa Is better in termas of accuracy AND Grace.

I dont understand how the comeback folks are going to be able to compete with no international exposure after a few years or 7 years

Competing to make the team is hard enough I think. Additionally, the judging in the US has improved to reflect scores more in keeping with international judging so between those two things, they can adequately prepare. Furthermore, Suni is not a newbie. From this routine, one can tell that her coaches are well aware of what the judges will be looking for.

Simone is already qualified to compete at the US national championships this summer which is the next step in getting on the Paris Olympic team.

The American cup is usually just a “demo” type comp. It’s a place for the girls to try out routines and fix what’s not working and seeing how things score.

There is no dismount CR, only a 0.2 bonus for D or harder dismounts. @@GymnasticsSavesLivesShe didn't do the LOSO mount E (wolf) D+0.1 (aerial + split) CDD+0.4 (leaps) D+0.4 (series) E (switch ring) A (dismount) 3.0 DV + 2.0 CR + 0.9 CV

I think this beam was excellent, just needs new mount, and a dismount, to add even more perfection!

She’s been training a double pike and it’s starting to look really good! I think that she’ll probably debut it at classics.
