  • As a Lions fan I understand how y’all feel. Since drafting Stafford the Lions never established anything around him aside from Calvin Johnson and a few seasons with a half decent defense. I feel like that’s what the Falcons have done for a while more or less. Y’all have a decent team just gotta draft a QB and take off this upcoming year.

  • I have to start out by saying that I haven't watched a game since they lost the Super Bowl loss. At that same time, the elected officials in Texas were debating a "Transgender" bathroom bill--and the league let it be known that if passed... the Lone Star State would never get another Super Bowl. As someone who grew up in South Louisiana and rooted for the Falcons, the video opens up talking about the fact that they have the longest tenure without a title. That may be true, but the "Saints" had to break rules--and probably bones to win theirs.

  • I thought overrated GM Thomas Demitroff, did serious damage with his late round draft busts. Picking Matt Ryan was one of the few picks he got right

    • Absolutely cannot stand him! He destroyed the Falcons and sent them reeling for years. They're just now starting to recover. Don't like hearing or seeing his name.

  • Preach Atlanta sports are just mediocre! Arthur Smith was very stubborn terrible play caller. Didn’t think he was a good choice as a coach. He’s a better OC than head coach

    • You have to understand: team owners are _business_ owners. They don't know, understand _or _*_trust_* coaches who are good for players because they don't trust players. They see them as employees, coaches as the supervisors that keep them in line For Capitalism. This is why Rich Bisacchia got pushed aside for Josh McDaniels, a guy so insecure he undermined the Whole Team just to push out the clubhouse leader. He didn't get fired for shoving out their *only starting QB.* Bisacchia was let go for being player-friendly. So it's hardly just an ATL thing. Why does Matt Patricia keep getting work? Because he talks s***, repeats empty bluster & carries through on it. He can't do his job, but he comes off as everything a business-owner would want in a supervisor: tyrannical traits.

  • the falcons might pursuit Kirk Cousins who is 36 and coming off of a Achilles injury over a 24 year old who has tons of upside. Yes, the falcons don't have culture, but what's worse is the falcons take the easiest decision and make it extremely difficult. Only the falcons can find a way to falcon up something.

    @Slimdulla87@Slimdulla872 ай бұрын
    • Kirk isn’t a bad option IF we draft a rookie to sit under him for a few years. He couldn’t be the long term solution, but I’d rather us draft a QB anyway and let them learn from an experienced veteran.

    • How about getting a potential franchise QB _AND_ top-5 WR duo instead? I think that too many people see the off-season as getting one player per trade or deal. We don't know if Cousins can return to form. The Falcons need more than Just A QB to truly contend in a league with the Chiefs. They have been wasting Pitts, London & Robinson. Wanna see them with the most exciting offense in the NFL? Package the #8 pick this year with whatever else is needed to trade for Justin Fields. _AND_ D.J. Moore. I'll explain. Fields isn't a bust. Wins & losses depend on offense, defense, special team _and play-calling_ & coaching. Of all fan bases, the Falcons' should understand this last thing. (Kyle Shanahan _STILL_ has this weird habit of completely changing how he calls games about 5 minutes into the 2nd half. What was winning before, he abandons). If Matt Eberflus isn't intentionally sabotaging Fields, then I don't know what to say. If _ANY OTHER QB HAD_ suddenly started staring at instead of passing to open receivers, even a back-up, they'd be taken into the blue tent & looked at. Fields did this but didn't look uncomfortable or rattled. Why wasn't a Single Bears Staffer concerned *or surprised* that he didn't pass to open receivers? 'Cause maybe he wasn't doing anything they didn't ask him to do? A few weeks into this new tendency he said publicly "I don't know what my coaches expect of me." Again, what other team hears their starting QB say this & *does nothing?* a team that wants him in this state. So now we have to look at everything he has done under this coaching staff who deliberately confound him differently. Despite all this, he made the Bears The #1 Offense for 3 weeks straight. His passing numbers to D.J. Moore & Cole Kmet from '23 are _élite_ letting us know it's the other receivers, & play-calling, not him, _AND_ he has his legs besides. Go look at any highlight reel of his. The very same plays that fail on the Bears he made in college. It isn't him. So, if his downsides aren't him & the upsides are, he's anywhere in the great to élite range & right now the Bears can't _give him away._ If his numbers are élite to Moore & Kmet *despite* his own coaches acting against him, imagine what they'd be like passing to Moore, *Pitts, Robinson & **_London_* on a team *trying to win!* Moore is in the same tier as any WR still left on the board at #8. Fields is better than any 2nd-string WR AND/OR a late-round draft pick can be. Both can impact this team & make them the #1 offense in the league Right Now, combined cost less than Cousins & still have years left in their careers. Since Moore vocally supports Fields, they likely want him out too but can't admit it. Anything they package _with_ the #8 pick for Moore the Bears can spin into "we got a _3rd_ 1st-round pick in the top-10 for just D.J. Moore" & save face. The Bears get a new toy. The Falcons get the best offense in the league. It's a decent deal.
