  • Matty Ice is one of my favorite QBs. That dude was special. He was scapegoated in that Super Bowl with that bad fumble, but the game wasn’t his fault. Quinn could have managed that game better with running and taking knees to kill the clock. The Pats would never have had enough time to get to 28 and Ryan would have a ring and a Super Bowl MVP under his belt.

He just could never finish it out strong and that isnt all his fault, that sb lost wasnt all on ryan, our defense sold too along with a miss block by our RB. No major come from behind wins, no 2-3 TD fourth quarters, couldn’t scramble, slow, no on field leadership, couldn’t read defenses or change up plays on the fly when needed. He was average AT BEST in his BEST NFL seasons……below average otherwise. He owes his overblown success to an amazing receiver core in his early years (Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez, Julio Jones, Harry Douglas). They caught a LOT of really sh!tty passes, and analysts gave HIM most of the credit. Point me to a montage of amazing plays by (supposedly elite QB) Matt Ryan. I’ll wait.

He blew a 17-point lead in the NFC championship game, a 25-point lead in the Super Bowl, and an unprecedented 33-point lead to Minnesota last season, among others. When it was crunch time and his team needed a big defensive stop, he played awful defense. He is truly the worst defender of all time and that’s why it would be an insult for him to get even one Hall of Fame vote.

In the years he had a good defense (not top ten) they made the Super Bowl. The only years where he had a good o-line and running game, he made the playoffs. Every time the Falcons lost in the playoffs they lost to the future Super Bowl champs, teams that made the Super Bowl, and the Super Bowl itself. So they genuinely lost to the better team. Matt Ryan getting traded to the Colts was a mistake by the Atlanta Falcons organization. They pursued Deshaun Watson but never got him so that resulted in him feeling like he was not appreciated enough for what he did for the organization. Julio was also done dirty by Shannon Sharpe.

  • As a life long falcons fan the 28-3 wouldn't bother me so much if they just kept trying to put the foot to the throat and stuck with what was obviously working to that point. protecting the lead and going conservative was poor coaching and in hindsight it would have been more respectable to go out on your own sword than to lose like they did.

  • I’m really sick of hearing these people talk so much crap about Matt Ryan, saying that it was his fault. It’s true that he isn’t as good as he used to be, but the colts still failed him. They promised him a top notch offensive line and running back. They couldn’t even do that. I wish the Colts nothing but failure from now on. As for the Super Bowl, he played amazing in that game. Despite what morons will tell you. it was his defense in Kyle Shanahan‘s ineptitude that cost us the game. Matt Ryan is a Hall of Famer. Period.
