  • That is a former 5-ton cargo truck switched over with that fifth wheel removing the Box. You can look around to Military Surplus truck dealers around the country they have all the manuals you're going to need for repair and replacing taken care of operating that truck and many other pieces of equipment in the military. It's too bad that more veterans are not getting their hands on these pieces of equipment so they'll be treated proper.

  • I doubt that the truck is a 5 ton, based on it's suspension alone it looks more like an OTR model or semi tractor. The rear suspension alone could be at least a 40,000 capacity. Aren't most 5 ton rims 5 or 6 bolt rims? This truck has 10!😅😅 The front winch must be at least 40,000 capacity, IMHO. Good job getting it done Will ..😊

    • @AA-tb4ff This one looked just like 5ton M816 medium wrecker and was on a 5T chassis, but I can't swear to the model. I do know it was listed as a 1953 because I had to fill out the exemption paperwork for emission testing in a government fleet. It had Wittenberg hard top and a very nice running Mack engine and almost no hours it always started no matter how cold it got.The State of Washington bought it surplus from the military for WSDOT, and we used it to lift heavy stuff around the yard like snowplows and sanders, we had it many years. It got traded for a new Grove AP308 deck crane sometime in the late 1990s

  • Hey Wiley clearly you guys dont trade in or sell anything you just park it and wait 20=40years for Wiley to come and do a will it start 😅😅😅😅.But seriously mate could you imagine Matt Diesel Creek set loose in that yard😅😅😅.And maybe Jacob could tell a couple of bad Dad jokes,so it would be like having Hank there,we need to see more of him on camera 😮😮,as always Mate really enjoyed this one Kym Adelaide
