I hear McDonalds is interested in this…..a promo piece…The Big Mack!
Awesome video You are all about let's gets this going ! ! ! I hate those "will it start videos". Anything will start if you throw enough parts at it.....
Truck and trailer belongs together. Someone’s gonna regret if its left behind…
I totally agree you can’t have a truck like that without the trailer
Yep 100%
Thank you, I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way. I generally hate it when a one-off build set is split apart.
Yep. Even if the trailer doesn’t get restored with the truck at least get it and hang on to it so they will always be together. Tractor is nothing without a trailer.
Agreed!
You should get the trailer too instead of scrapping it, be cool to have it complete
Truck and trailer both needs to be restored and kept together..... something this rare should be preserved for future generations to enjoy!
Hahahah, you think he cares about original equipment. Find another channel, brother.
Then get your money out & put it where your mouth is .
There will be no future Generations under the Biden regime
Because Darin Wilson said it should.
Sadly the cost to move that trailer would be well into the 5 digits if not 6 digits range. As one piece it would be 6 digits for sure. Otherwise you'd have to chop it up and it'd still be very expensive.
Dont leave that trailer. Youll never get another one like it
Ya, I hope he does go back for the trailer
@@robertmoulton2656 Once he takes the tractor, the ⏰ starts ticking on the trailer! The scrapper would scrap The Liberty 🔔 Bell, if someone left it at the side of the road!!
Yeah, you'd better get the trailer, what good is a tractor without a trailer !
Probably cost too much 😅
the trailer is a 350 ton capacity monster. its kinda useless.
i sure hope you get the trailer too...
Can't leave the trailler behind. Surely it can be trnsfomed into some sort of show piece.
Seriously Brother that trailer is GOLD don’t underestimate her 👊🇳🇿🇺🇸🍻
Save the trailer, too. It looks better as a pair.
First, huge props for someone wanting to preserve this piece of history, second, you have to do a whole series on this monster! It's epic and deserves to be documented!
absolutely! need a will it start video big time!!!
Yeah I really hope they save the trailer too.
Yeah, leaving the trailer is criminal.
Thanks for the video. I haven’t seen this Prime mover for many years. Worked with this truck several times when I was with Mashburn Trucking Inc. Out of Childress, Texas. Charles Mashburn had 3 Mack Prime Movers. This one was paired with a 500 ton lowboy made by Transport Systems out of Denton, Texas. Charles had 2 other Mack’s, a bit smaller, one with a 700 hp Cummins and one with an 800 hp Cummins. This one was a 1000 hp 16v Detroit and all 3 had Allison 12 speed transmissions. All air starters that would make unsuspecting folks run when you hit the starter! Please keep us updated on the progress and thanks again, this brought back many great memories.
I can remember driving through Childress in the mid to late 80's and seeing the Mashburn yard on 287 there in town. Interesting that the truck ended up in NYC.
Many years ago, we at Louisiana Escort worked with Mashburn/National Rigging. "Tuff e Nuff", "Double Ugly and "Baby Huey" were the names of the prime movers. Many good memories, and so impressed with the whole operation. They were the pioneers in roll off jobs, long before Mammoet, Joe D Hughes, Emmertt Int'l., Lone Star, Sarens, Roll Lift, Deep South, and more. At that time, Mashburn was a good, stable company to work for.
Well that is interesting. I worked for Emmert International in Texas, and when Lone Star Heavy Haul bought out Mashburn I'm not sure if the three trucks came with the deal or not. At Emmert we had a picture in one of the offices with all three lined up, I think in Gainesville Lone Star yard from the looks. Not sure if Lone Star sold them then or not. Emmert then bought out Lone Star Heavy Haul side so we got most of what was left of Lone Star equipment beam systems and Mashburn stuff. Back in I think 2013 or so we bought the 600 M75 Mack at the Ritchie Brothers Action location in Lake Worth, TX. Emmert still owns the truck and we used it once on the reactor vessel move from Las Vegas to Clive, UT. When we got the truck it still had the orange paint and said Double Ugly on it. Just like this one but smaller. We painted it Red to match the red equipment we ran at Emmert. The truck is now in Clackamas, OR at the corp office. If someone is interested in it call Emmert International in Oregon. I'm sure they would sell it. In Rhome, TX there is a 400 ton Transport Systems trailer that would go with the Mack M75. Looks just like this trailer in NY but smaller and there is a 300 ton and 100 ton. All made from the same company in Denton, TX.
A 16V149T put out 1600hp. For that kind of hp the Allison transmission was probably a DP8000 series
There is nothing like the smell of Diesel Smoke coming from the exhaust stacks and sound of those Detroit Diesel Engines roaring down the road, reminds me when I was a kid working in our Construction firm’s Gravel quarry in the 70’s, and running the all mechanical controls on the Terex Scrapers. Absolutely loved it! 👍
Don’t leave the trailer
16v-149 detroit engines are awesome. Lots of grunt. They served as locomotive engines in shunt units and had a long service as massive generators and marine engines
I had video I screen recorded of a euclid/terex dumptruck with what sounded like a 16v149
I agree with several others, trailer definitely needs to stay with it.
I guess if some outfit was going to build a truck powered by a locomotive engine, it would be Mack! Many of us would be appreciative if you could talk the owner into letting you post updates on whatever he's doing to this piece of history. Thanks for the ride along.
Def needs the trailer. They we're made for each other after all
Got to have the whole unit
Thank God for people like Gary. He has an incredible collection of vintage Macks. Thanks for filming rescue. 🤘🏻
I heard the news when I came into Dave’s heavy towing today cannot wait to see the truck be restored
Is the trailer gonna go with it at a later date? It'd be a shame to see someone scrap it or cut it up....Id like to see the restoration on both truck and trailer
Yes show more of this move, love this type of content.
I was wondering what happened to all the trucks Mashburn had. Nice to see one get saved. I agree with those suggesting to save the trailer as well, now is the time to get it.
I think u should keep the trailer with the truck both are a part of history they should be restored and placed in a museum for all to see
PLEASE!!! Keep making videos on bringing this beast back to life!!!! Such a great machine, thank you for sharing!!
Leaving the trailer is the biggest mistake.
I absolutely love that like 85%+ of the comments all agree about taking the trailer i honestly cant say i've ever seen that many people agree on anything here
Funny thing is I don't see any of these commenters setting up a GoFundMe account to help pay for moving that trailer. LOL!!!!!!
Why would you NOT take the trailer? See, the trailer does not want to be separated from its partner. You don't deserve that truck if you don't take it all.
I’ll pass it on to Gary that he doesn’t deserve the truck he saved from being cut up for scrap next week.
Way cool! Hope you can get the trailer into the collection someday.
MAN YOU GOT TO GET THE WHOLE THING TOGETHER. THE TRAILERS . MAKE IT ALL COMPLETE. IT DESERVES IT .
WOW!!! M100 is amazing!!!! Big Mack nut here and this my man is a hell of a score! Cheers from Santa Cruz Ca
There's a bunch of Mack trucks on the other side of the hill right on the 101nb in San Martin.
Mannnnnn....how could you not want that trailer? There both one of a kind pieces and absolutely belong together. But anyways that's one hell of a prime hauler. I've never seen one this big lol.
My Dad had Mack logging trucks in the 70s and 80s here in Washington State. This is so cool to see. Thank you for videoing this amazing truck.
Excellent video and description of the truck and what’s going on. I hope you can video the tractor getting moved. Hopefully the trailer gets saved too. Subscribed.
You just got yourself a gold mine of a tough truck, this Mack M100SX! The power train and frame are very well engineered and super strong and the DD 12V149 is an excellent engine! All the best in your restoration efforts; please keep us posted if you want on how things materialize to that end.
Super cool ! Never heard of it before ! Move videos please ! Save the trailer .
What an awesome machine, so glad that kids haven't got to it and smashed it up. Looking forward to the next video.
I hope you keep us updated on this truck
I love these old beasts.
Would love to see more videos on this. So awesome!!! Really hope he gets the trailer also.
Prime Mover was what it was called if that is the same Mack Charlie Mashburn of Childress Texas bought in New Jersey and brought back to Texas. The trailer he used was rated for 350 tons in 20 feet . That was along time ago I drove truck for him hauling transformers , started when I was 19 and today I am 74. Good luck with your project.
Yes it’s the same truck. I’m the one who filmed this video. Would you happen to have any memory of what the trailer weighs by itself?
That trailer no, there weren't any scales 12FT wide to weigh it. I pulled a trailer that was rated for 250 tons and it was custom built for Charlie by an outfit in Denison Texas if I remember right. Charlie said he didn't know what that trailer weighed but when you were hooked with the jeep and trailer he would laugh and say there wasn't enough portable scales in the state of Texas to weigh it. Thanks for the memories. I only am in contact with one other driver and will ask him if he ever heard what it weighed.@@LetsFNgo
I just wanted to et you know I talked to the other driver this morning and he said the something about the weight but two things I want to straighten out about my comment. That was one of three prime movers he owned and the trailers were made in Denton Texas. @@LetsFNgo
The 400ton trailer Mashburn had a weight of 122k. That is the lowboy only, not including the jeep. The Desert Fox was much larger and heavier.
This is a 14 ft wide trailer. Charles repossessed it for a bank that obviously had no idea what it was.
Wow! Never actually saw one b4. Have pics in an old Mack sales brochure for M series. Thing is the ultimate cool. Gotta love Mack
It’s got to be saved it’s a tribute to man’s achievements,if job needs doing humans can rise to the occasion,we save old cars let’s save this one.😊
wish the truck and trailer stay together. i would love you to show us more about this truck
Came to say dont leave that fkn trailer behind haha glad to see everyone else feels the same
Absolutely love it gotta get the trailer to please. I SUBSCRIBED for more on this amazing rig.
I sure hope he changes his mind and takes the trailer too... Please post a startup of this one, it is the most unique barn finds I have ever seen.
Completely agree with everyone else, that trailer has to go with the prime mover. Can’t wait to see more episodes on this combination please. Thanks for taking us along.
If it was a vintage toy on Antiques Roadshow the appraiser would say WOW! You have a real rarity here, it's worth $$$. If you had the trailer $$$$$! Gotta take her!
I’m blown away by seeing this. My grandpa always told me about driving old double ugly hauling barges down by Houston with one of these. Not sure which of the three it was but I’ll have to dig up the pictures of it and find out!
I commented that and see my great grandfathers company on the side. Almost make a guy tear up lol
Double Ugly moved some vessels for my job site in 1986. It had to climb some steep hills. Baddest thing I’ve ever seen. And the trailer has to go too.
@@tony2good726 I agree. Hope to one day see it in person myself
Time to head back for the trailer.
T😮hat has got to be the coolest truck I’ve ever seen keep the video coming on this project thanks
You gotta take that whole unit
You better get that trailer too
Definitely want to see the rest of this move!
Keep that trailer they need to be together.
glad yall got it saved
Wow that's an impressive truck and trailer it's a shame there not staying together, but watching it get loaded would be cool 🎉🎉
I would totally watch you restore both that truck and trailer!
This is so cool, I can't wait to see this in person
Well hell yea we all want to see it loaded up. Please make another. Ya know this is history in the buff.
Wish my company used Dave’s. Very frustrating when a junk wrecker shows up to tow your junk tractor or trailer 😂
I’ll follow if you decide to continue recording. She is a mean ol’ girl just holding her growl until that diesel comes alive. Love it!
Awesome truck. Keep us updated
We are keeping this truck and trailer together right
Can't wait to hear it run
That truck will be lonely without it’s trailer
This is awesome!
Dude that thing is awesome!👍🇺🇸
obviously not your choice but it's definitely criminal not to take both truck and trailer
I agree with others.the truck and trailer belong together.1 of a kind.
I would love to see more videos of this truck rescue
hard to imagine that truck without its one off built trailer made just for it. Good luck and keep us posted with videos. Can you possibly post up what all this is costing? I bet just this day was a few thousand dollars in wrecker fees.
Really slick rig, love seeing a 149-series Detroit in a truck. Looking forward to more of this.
Keep them together please they made it this long together
I ❤think the truck and trailer should stay together
You offering to pay for that trailer move?
Hellyeah !!! Keep goin with this ill watch it.👍 that MACK is allll 🇺🇸 made..
More, keep the videos coming. They should go back and get the trailer too!
That’s pretty truck but man it’s a 1.5 million dollar restoration if it’s a dollar
Keep both units together. To separate them is like having a heart without the body.
That trailer *needs* to be saved just the same!
The truck and trailer needs to stay together
Save the trailer please. The three axle dolly has already been lost and the only beam trailer has been rotting away in West Virginia after another company bought it years ago apparently.
I think 3 axle dolly is on Emmert yard in Rhome Tx.
The trailer !!
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Enjoyed the video to the max. Keep make more videos about his massive truck..
I'm pissed they didn't take the trailer...
I drove the M1070/M1000 Super Het in the Army. I thought I was ridding heavy until I saw this monster.
Gotta get that trailer bro 👊🇳🇿🇺🇸
That is an incredible truck. Thanks for sharing.
Hey man, that was neat ! Pretty freak'in awesome actually!
Thay is a very unique and largest lowboy truck trailer combination and it is a very big shock it is being rescued and saved hopefully from the scrap mill. As these unique giants are not being made like they use to. Great video
Much respect saving that old iron especially a Mack or Ford
Trailer needs to go with it that was built specifically for that truck
Heck yes show the rest
You’ll never be able to build a trailer like that for it it’ll cost you a fortune and get somebody to do it fortune you better take it man that’s crazy they go together
You should get the trailer too ;)
Wow. great piece of history.
That thing is a BEAST!
GRAB THE TRAILER. Use it as space to display other trucks on the deck. You don't lose space.
