  • The Nani red card against Real Madrid was a tragedy. We were well in control but the referee over-reacted (Nani's foot was supposed to be too high when a Madrid player was trying to head the ball but Nani didn't know he was there) and that decision turned it round for Madrid. One of the craziest moments.

I don't think they'll ever go public with it, but Keane's stance towards United seems to have softened a little bit recently, being featured in the away kit launch etc. I'm sure that something's happened behind the scenes, because I wouldn't want anything to be left too late.

  • Keane continues his pathetic stance rubbing a elderly frail old man's face in it decades after he stepped over the line with his stupid MUTV post match interview slaughtering his teammates. Had to go as he wouldn't have sat out on a suspension, he'd have put in a transfer request. So it's that simple.

    • It's interesting how Keane ended his Ireland career the same way he ended his Utd career. Going public with internal problems, undermining the manager and thinking he was bigger than the whole setup. There's always a pattern with Roy....

    • @@hughjass8430 Interesting and overall pathetic mentality. Listening to him over every episode of The Overlap, he's never praised Ferguson on the achievements, instead puts the praise on great players and openly admits a huge dislike of Mick McCarthy. But he'll heap unending praise to Brian Clough and Jack Charlton as the greatest two managers he's played for, that's fine but he won sod all for Clough and Charlton. If he hated Ferguson that much, he wouldn't have stayed for 12 trophy leden years. He's the only top pro player I've known to have won so much and not attribute part success to the manager??? Even Neville was having a pop at Ferguson the other week saying "there was some games we didn't have any game plan, no tactics, no team talk, no plan B ?? Anybody that's read Ferguson's autobiography or heard his candid interviews knows that's bullsh*t. Ferguson was a master planer of the game. You'd never get and hear not one player from the great Chelsea team under Mourinho"s first time at the Bridge slating him, calling him out and dismissing his worth to the team. Lampard, Cech, Cole, Drogba, Robben, Terry, Carvalho etc would never dismiss and mock Jose the way Keane does towards Ferguson now and all those players were also winners.

    • @@ops7917 The love in with Jack Charlton in particular is a joke. Keane had no relationship with Charlton. He was a kid who showed up and took his orders. Jack's tactics largely involved the midfield being bypassed and so amounted to Keane chasing shadows for 90 minutes. It all boils down to personal slights with Roy. McCarthy and Fergie clashed with him personally so there can be no quarter given. It is pathetic alright.

    • @@hughjass8430 Spot on pal. Just wish there was more fans like you that aren't blinkered by the Roy Keane renaissance of recent years. He's definitely lightened up across the board, but by God does he not half hold a decades old grudge against certain people that are his seniors. No matter all the greatest achievements he deservedly won, he walked out on his countrymen and home nation that saw him as their one genuine world class player that would have got Rep Ireland to the quarter finals in 2002. What an odd mindset to have?
