Sid, Geno and Letang are about to all complete an 82 game season with no games missed. And they are not going to make the playoffs. Imagine that.

Something can be said of playing just hard enough to miss the playoffs, versus playing hard enough to miss a few games with injury but make the playoffs. Sid and Geno played all games last season and they missed the postseason as well. They go all those seasons without never playing a full 82 and always making the playoffs, and now two years in a row they miss while playing all 82...and now Mr. Injury Prone Letang is doing it when he has only done it once before in 2011? Coincidence? I'll never say Sid doesn't play hard enough and is probably just smart enough to manage risk and stay safer now, but these other two? These guys at their age should be more prone to injury just in general or getting out of bed awkwardly, but instead are now creeping up the iron man standings? I know, must be the high fiber diet and Momma Geno's borscht.

Boston purposely lost. They know the Pens are playing outstanding hockey right now and they didn't want them in the playoffs.

They had 4 more shots than me and you put together in the first FORTY MINUTES. Somebody close to that team was in financial trouble and they threw the game so they could win a bet. It will happen more and more.

That's not true. Bruins will either play Tampa Bay or Toronto. If the Pens make the second wild card, they will clearly play the Rangers since they just clinched the President's trophy.@@freedomliberty83

You know the Bruins were loving punking the Pens too. They could have easily did it to the Caps by laying down for the Penguins instead, but there was probably more satisfaction in helping keep the Penguins out. The target on their back hasn't gotten smaller. The road to the bottom is always accompanied by welcoming kicks and punches.
