I have a PS4, and a PC as well... I'd rather have a high refresh rate monitor at 1080p than 60 Hz at 4K, It's too expensive to have both right now, maybe in the future. I have a 160Hz refresh rate monitor at 1080p, I don't regret it. I love Ghost of Tsushima, played it nearly for 8 hours yesterday... but I hate the refresh rate, I feel gross every time I turn the camera. It's a bit hard to go back to 30FPS when you've been playing game 60+ for sometimes. I hope it comes to PC eventually, I like this game enough I'd buy it again.

One of my favorite things about this, is that the game forces you to pay attention to the scenery by having the world itself direct you. Too often I'm checking a minimap every other second and I appreciate having the opportunity to more fully immerse into a world like this.

yeah... definitely the best thing... it was really annoying the first day I had the game because it kept the mission objective in the top left. With the update and the minimal hud mode, it's much funner, but I can't find any iron any more. 2 hours only needing 2 iron for my katana upgrade. Still looking!

When u unlock the heavenly strike, and damage someone to the point where they're one shot, just slice their throat and look into the sunset, wipe the blood off and sheathe the sword. Badass

Ghost of Tsuhsima is a glitchy mess for me right now. Either the characters themselves will freeze during the cutscene, or their lips will be moving with no audio and the subtitles will be gone as well. I'm on a PS4 Pro 4K HDR... I tried reinstalling the game, that didn't work. I tried Rebuilding my Database through Safe Mode, that didn't work. I tried prioritizing Performance over Higher Resolution, that didn't work. Hopefully a patch is released by next week...doubtful tho. Anyway...Ghost of Tsuhsima corrupted my HDD so I had to Initialize my console through Safe Mode...deleting all my Data. I have yet to try Ghost of Tsuhsima which I will later tonight. This issue was also present when I played The Last of Us 2 but on a much smaller scale. Still...I've never had this difficult of time with any games until 2020...*sign...what an overall crappy year so far. On a good note, Ghost of Tsuhsima is a beautiful game when it works...no hate on my end at all, just sharing my unfortunate event.

Man, this game just has these immersive moments. It reminds me of the long rides you would have in Shadow of the Colossus, but just with an amazing environment. Relaxing as hell.

imreallytired Just poor animation quality, texture quality isn’t great, facial animations are kind of wack in many parts. Most missions don’t have full cinematics and have zoomed out dialogue . Its not bad, its just after playing other playstation exclusive it feels old in some ways.

You forgot to mention the loading times. I honestly thought I’d be spending hours looking at loading screens for this game. Most of the time I can barely read one of the on screen tips that you can scroll through before it has loaded me back into the beautifully rendered island of Tsushima.
And the funny thing is that they made loading longer on porpuse because they optimized the game to well the loading would have ben an instant they made it longer so you can read the tutorials the problem with that is that they could have solve this problem by pressing x if u want to continue this is just stupid
Gery Bock that is very true. We’d easily appreciate all games from now on to allow us to skip the loading with a press of a button if your console is powerful enough to load quickly. Also interactive loading like in fallout 4 is pretty cool. Doesn’t make you bored your ass off waiting for the moment you spawn into an open world

You can tell they put a lot of passion into this game and it shows. I'm blown away by how good it is. It's not perfect and has some annoying issues but the combat is satisfying and the game world is stunningly beautiful. It's an amazing experience.

I don't like how the reviews do not focus on how amazing the story actually was. The character progression in this game was one of the best I have ever played!
The story was amazing. Even the less important side quests are almost always super compelling, I’m not sure where people are coming from when they say they are repetitive or bland. Each side quest is very emotional and tells a deep story about the state of the island and its people.

The combat feels like it holds a lot of weight. Even though some enemies can be tanky every hit feels like your actually beating the fuck out of someone. The sound design is perfect. Pretty much agree with almost everything this guy said.

What really impresses me is that the game values art and culture so much. Its no hack n slash in good looking egypt, but u learn about japanese poetry, can play a flute, chill at wonderful shrines, the armor is more that just "make it harder!"... sooooo enjoyable

This game is what I needed. Something to chill out. The story too is great. I want more games like this. Linear, simple, interesting stories. The combat is fantastic. If Ubisoft is gonna make an AC game in the old Japanese era, i wish they learn from Sucker punch.

@@kidnamedfinger2840 they would probably put up 5 diff editions and diff dlc's per editions and feed it with tons of boring side quests and repetitive camp raid, they would also fill up your screen with huds and waypoints and line direction pointing where you wanna go, and they would probably give you a 2 hour intro of useless present day story stuff, and they will add mythical beasts of japan and would add gods and goddesses of japan that would break your immersion of grounded reality and they would add... ya know, tower climbing and such to open the map, with tons of collectibles that you need to grind to find it in a ultra-mega size map of japan that doesn't have that much things to do... and they would probably rush the development that game for like 2 and a half year with an RPG shenanigans and some copy-pasted combat from odyssey... Yeah, just some ubisoft stuff..

Not enough reviews are talking about what is probably the best audio production i've ever experienced in a game. ambient music, environmental ambience, combat music, scoring during cutscenes or big battle moments have all been impeccable

I’m surprised he didn’t mention the loading screens. Super fast. It’s glad sucker punch took extra months to optimize this game. It’s 10/10 in my opinion. A good way to say farewell to the PS4.
They purposely made the loading screens longer so you can actually read the text. The game is so well optimized that the loading times would be instant if it weren’t for SP purposely making them longer.

WarTech Gaming I think the story is just okay so far. Not super special. I haven’t beaten it yet, so I can’t speak for the whole story. The story just seems very generic. I think the gameplay, graphics, world, and combat make this game so great. The story doesn’t need to be good, just serviceable, which it is.

This game is absolutely beautiful, no mini map so I often find myself just riding around, smelling flowers also sunsets/moonbeams. Sucker punch nailed it.
I make it a point to always sheath my sword after a fight even tho I really do not need to. Its just so captivating and immersive.

@@JianimalGaming way harder. i finished the whole story in ghost tsushima on "hard" and maybe only khan and the lord shimura duell come close to the FIRST real boss in sekiro. im playing new game+ now on lethal mode and its somewhat comparable to sekiro. if you know how to perfect parry its gonn be an advantage for you but either way you're going to get challenged way more in sekiro
@@JianimalGaming If you want samurai-themed sword fights then definitely go for it. Sekiro probably has the most satisfying melee combat I’ve ever experienced, if you’re up for the challenge. As good as GoT is, it cant touch Sekiro for me combat-wise.

I honestly didn't care much for stealth right off the bat (in-fact, I thought it was the weakest part of the game) but as Jin gradually comes to accept being the Ghost, you yourself gradually come to prefer stealth over direct confrontations. Or at least I did.

I still prefer running into battle with my katana brandished yelling 'Send me your strongest Warrior!' And then getting screenshots from Standoffs. Lol fb the stealth flashbacks first came in in the forced stealth sections I legitimately got upset and avoided stealth outright XD
I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima and I had no idea this game was made by Suckerpunch. Sly Cooper is my favorite game series of all time. No wonder I love this game so much.

This game is something else, very atmospheric (I caught myself staring at the background many times) and the combat is indulging especially when you get the hang of it. Duels and mythic tales are quite interesting and the different armor types give a little bit of variety when you get bored doing the same mission types again and again.
I bought RDR2 last year, finished the hell out of it and decided to get ghost of tsushima, not regretting anything

This game world is sooooo incredibly BEAUTIFUL. I found myself literally walking everywhere just to soak it in. I’m a tad bias though, Japanese culture and Samurai cinema are some of my favorite things on earth.

I 100% love this game. The visuals, combat, story, exploration, stealth, it all just clicks for me. Hell, I'll even go as far to say that its my most favorite game since RDR2.

Talal I played on medium and it wasn’t too easy but it wasn’t really difficult. It really depends on how much you prepare yourself before you enter a new area and the exploration is actually fun and interesting so unlocking new abilities and collectibles isn’t a grind when trying to level yourself up.
I played it for nearly 8 hours straight yesterday... been a long time since I played something that managed to keep my attention... I played about 10 hours total now, and I'm still in act 1. 😁

I recently got this, and I have to say the stealth for me is fun, its easy enough for me to understand but hard enough to where I have to plan my approaches. The rest of the game is phenomenal

This game is amazing. From the combat to the quests to the world. I love how they figured out how to make an open world game without a mini-map. So much more immersive. And the super short load times alone make it worthy of Game of the Year. Thanks Sucker Punch. I've wanted a badass open world samurai game for a long time. 🙌
Idk how sucker punch does it man... it's almost like sucker punch and many other game developing teams like CDPR and Rockstar (if you ignore the failure that is rdr2 online,) have the Midas touch of gaming.

This game is an utter down right masterpiece. Im confidently going to say this is my favorite video game that has ever been made. Period. The Last of Us and RDR2 are a clooooose second but this game just fucking does it for me in every aspect. I’ve got probably 300 hours in this game over the past 3 years now. I’m on my 4th play through now going for 100% completion and I normally don’t ever try to stove for 100% but this fuckin game is so addictive that I don’t mind. If you haven’t played this game, you are doing yourself absolute disservice.
I actually didn't have a problem with the "lightsaber problem". Everyone is wearing armor and unless you try to stab you're probably not getting through armor in one hit.
No it has another reason. In a fight people are full of adrenaline and focus, so even if they take several hits they wont die emediately, it takes a minute until the actual pain kicks in :3
I defifuckinglitely agree. I saw countless people complain about this, while your character can _literally_ recover with his sheer power of will. Some people just don't like it fair.

Just riding through the forest, starts to rain, and the music kicks in, the wind effect is amazing, its just so inmersive, I love it, I started two days ago, the story is really good, but I am just riding everywhere discovering and clearing the map, helping villages, the sights are just breathtaking(keanu reeves style), Im enjoying this game so much, I dont want it to end, thats why am going slow with the story😁

@The Beast. Its not the stealth its the AI. Most of the time they just stand there twiddling there thumbs! Its happened on me many times. I was clearing out a camp & I was sneaking up behind a guy & his enemy friend just stood there & literally watched me take him out. Same goes with the rest. Doesn't mean its a bad game, just bad AI. Hopefully they fix it with a future patch. 👍
Idk the stealth ainte the best in the game but i see it as a more thin the heard and get the enemies into a more manageable number before you go in and start hacking at everyone. The only thing i dont like is the forced stealth missions.
It’s so easy to get “lost” in this game (in a good way) and spend hours engaging in what it has to offer. This game is at least a 9/10. Beautiful world, amazing combat, good story, very strong and diverse progression system, and extremely short loading times.
