It will work - It's compatible to mac too, as it has two jax sticks for a regular pc and one jackstick for apple products.

The headset is plug n play and does not have drivers. Is this static noise only happening with a particular program? Are you able to plug the headset into another device?

+Deep B - Both are great choices. You have to try both to get a better idea which one suits your needs. Our Revolvers were designed to have the larger sound stage if that helps.

@ColdBoltz The Cloud II Velour ear pads should fit on the Cloud Stinger. However we cannot guarantee that you will have the same experience as with the original Stinger ear pads.

It depends on what you want in a headset. The Stinger Core is a no frills model that works well to get the job done. The Stinger headset comes with pleather pads for added comfort and audio controls on the earcup.
