Just wanted to say I know nothing about college basketball so I followed your bracket almost pick for pick and won my tournament! With 20 other players in the tournament too. Thank you for your knowledge! I’ll have beer from you with my winnings🍻
That's awesome congrats! Luckily the Final Four was crazy this year so we could rely on early round picks hahaha.
Easily some of the best analysis that I've heard. You know your shit. Would love to collab if interested.
Bunch of bracket similarities also: I've got a Memphis Providence Elite 8, I've got same final four but Memphis in over Marquette. Kent State over Indiana too.
I was really really really close to having Memphis but I chickened out.
great bracket. Not too many upset picks like people like to do to look different, but the upsets you do pick are strategical… very similar to my bracket but i have memphis beating Marq and Gonzaga beating Uconn
Thanks! And yeah I was extremely close on Memphis/Marquette. Last game I figured out. That whole region was just tough.
W bracket and breakdown
Appreciate it!
great analysis. this kid sounds like he knows his stuff. is he right?
Appreciate it! I like to think I am!
Pls read and respond to this: I think that when you see teams like Drake having a great matchup like Miami, you have to pick them. Drake is a hard-nosed well shooting from guys like tucker devries and Miami doesn’t have a lot of size after a bunch of injuries. Miami also racked up wins in an ACC that wasn’t as good this year and wong is really the only one that brings any experience to an already inexperienced team that lost mcgusty and Charlie Moore from last year. I love Drake in this matchup, but have them lose against Kent state in a lot of brackets. Also, Arizona will likely blow out a team like Missouri. I love Dennis Gates’s team and think that a round 2 game as a seven seed would be a lot better should they have played a team like Texas. But, Missouri have some of the worst defense in the tournament and you can’t take down a team like Arizona without playing really good defense, especially in a game where Arizona is likely to destroy them rebounding the ball.
I think Arizona is capable of losing to weird teams (Utah and Stanford). Missouri I know their defense sucks but it’s really because they’re terrible at rebounding. I think they throw enough things at Arizona for it to be successful. Miami I just think has the shotmaking. Really buy that.
its march so the data really doesnt come into play until the final four and championship. Considering the historical stats theres only 5 teams that will win and houston is not one of them. Bama and Uconn are the only two of your final 4 that pass the historical analytics test.
Curious as to what the parameters for that test are. Because you may be onto something given how horrible Houston looked tonight lol
Apparently both guards are hurt. I knew sasser was but they said he was recovered (he isn’t). I’m not sure exactly what the parameters were but I know it was top 30ish DEF and OFF, SOS, and few other requirements that every winning team has had since kenpom started.
To be clear, there’s 7 teams that meet the criteria. Then I stack that against who was ranked in the top 25 in week 6 and lose two teams. That’s how I picked my 5 winners.
Nearly identical bracket to me lmfao
great minds...
Tennessee is winning game 1.
They definitely can but I just think the value of Louisiana is really good
My final four: Duke, Texas, UConn & Arizona I think Sasser’s groin injury doesn’t heal fully and he’s not back to full force in time for Texas. Think about Booker, Lebron, etc and how long those groin injuries take to fully heal. Texas only loses, in a close game, if Sassers injury isn’t fully healed. I think Arizona beats Alabama. The further Bama goes, the more the general audience‘a vitriol toward Bama beats up. They won’t be able to handle the public pressure. They’ll collapse. UConn beats Kansas then beats Gonzaga - UCLA without their star defender won’t be able to handle Zag’s high octane offense. Duke handles Marquette or Kentucky, they are top 3 hottest teams in the nation right now and heating up at the perfect time. I have Arizona staying hot after Bama W and beating Duke. Texas stays hot after beating Houston and beats UConn. Texas wins it all.
And let me preface, I had to go a little spicier than usual because my bracket with my friends is quite large.
I know Arizona lost, but I think your reasoning is sound. I was down to Houston and Texas for my national champ. Went with Houston since I've been on them all year. Texas just has awesome guards.
Yeah I get that too hahaha. I'm in a 200+ person pool I'm probably 1 of at least 50 with a Houston/Bama title game
1v1 is not gona happen. Don’t know how to explain other then that
Think Bama is nearly a lock to get there...other side idk
Miami final 4
I wish they got a better draw
@@BobbyDouglasBasketball They had the toughest road and still made it. UConn going down!
Mannn!! Its all about 🙌🏾 know who, lol.😁😁
