While Enrique got rejected by the board and Nagelsmann rejected our club due to the lack of foundations that are present at the club and he’s right in that sense. I really think Pocchettino set them up with the wrong mentality because if you dont fully commit to the press, you are going to be vulnerable and exploit your own half spaces. I will made a dedicated video on this on the Liverpool fan in Japan channel but it is definitely the key to the current set up to get Gomez inverted to overload the middle as the pivot whilst also adding a forward defensive layer. • 4 posts for Nunez means it could have been worse. TAA now has some much needed competition and I think Bradley deserves the start over him. TAA is the most overrated player because English football loves long balls/diagonals, but Bradley didn’t play many and as a result there were numbered advantages on the flanks and the counter pressing was more effective when possession was lost. Plus with Salah gone the team performs better. I’ve always known that the right side was an issue (TAA & Salah) but because there was a lack of competition it wasn’t obvious.

    @fchevan1@fchevan13 ай бұрын
    • Not sure i agree with your views. Great that we have new blood flowing through, but a few performances don’t make a career. Looking at TAA assist stats how can you be so dismissive…. And Salah comment… really? They are both proven long term performers… hmmm 🤔🤔Cant help wondering, are you trolling?

      @machimasuokudasai8261@machimasuokudasai82613 ай бұрын
    • Only time will tell. I don’t ignore the past contributions in saying that TAA is overrated, I just recognize that he has been placed into a system where RB/LB are the primary source of assists. Put him on another team (England for instance) and his numbers wouldn’t be as spectacular. Defensively though, he’s sloppy and unaware at times and can switch off at the wrong moments. His defensive issues coupled with the fact that he regularly has unsuccessful crosses/longballs are why I say he is overrated. It’s the system that makes him stand out above the others-he’s above average and Bradley deserves to challenge for his spot. Salah: phenomenal player, but look at the statistics for how Liverpool play when he is not present, they don’t lose. Is it only because of him, no, but his absence does play a part. Salah from 2-3 season ago was quicker and now he can’t reliably pick the ball up wide and cut in to shot/score-so he assists. Not a bad things but a reality. We can disagree. I’m not bashing them, but I see the game a little differently than most, and sometimes stats, when interpreted in isolation, overlook systems and tactics. Either way I’m happy that finally there is a challenge for the RB position (it’s been long overdue) and that it coincided with Salah being gone so a 2nd right sided team could get some game time (Bradley, Szobo/Elliot, Jota/Diaz).

And once Chelsea's ball movement towards Liverpool goal was nearly gone, Liverpool could do just about whatever they wanted. Against Arsenal it should be different. • Penalty inconsistencies along with VAR continue to be hot topics after games. If Gallaghers (penalty shout) was ruled out although VVD made clear contact with him and VVD made another poor tackle against Nkunku when kicking his foot are not penalty worthy. Then how can Jota’s be considered a straight penalty by the ref when the contact made by the studs didn’t hinder Jota as he takes a step showing no hindrance and decides to just dive . I’m a Chelsea fan thru and thru and I understand it wouldn’t change the result but I would love to hear the VAR and referee reasoning as to why those are considered nothing where the other is “clear and obvious” In an alternate dimension maybe the Gallagher one changes the game hahahaha

    @Instagramlessgreg247@Instagramlessgreg2473 ай бұрын
    • The biggest difference? One was given on the field, the other two weren't. Then there's the fact that Gallagher moved into VanDijk who was stationary (along with the contact being minimal, if that). Not having seen a side angle to see how much of an actual push there was in the Nkunku incident I personally would see it as a 50/50 call as we've all seen worse not given and less given. The Jota one was a stone wall stamp on the foot and trip, likely given by VAR if the ref hadn't...

  • Liverpool ran their socks off. Poch didn't pick his team well. Poch didn't make good subs. The ref also played his part. That. Is. All.

  • He dominated also by ref not giving Chelsea the clearest of all penalties in the World. I would've loved to see them play from one behind with Chelsea in low block and 3 fast wingers sitting deep. The advantage Liverpool gets from refs is insane.

    • Have you seen the replay from the Chelsea goal angle? Showed quite clearly that it wasn't a penalty and only the fact that Gallagher brushed VanDijk's stationary leg as he dove (literally) past him and Tierney's anti-Liverpool bias kept it from being a yellow for simulation.

  • Referee got paid off, allowed to go harder into challenges, getting pens and fouls on a plate while Chelsea get yellows for the same things. Being allowed to play at 150% intensity while your opponents are only allowed at 50% really lets you control games
