Freedom of religion, assembly, press, petition, speech. These rights are SO important they listed them FIRST.
u guys rock! @LackLusterMedia Thank you!
and freedom to BEAR arms, so that the other freedoms are protected.
@@user-ci2mn1oy3wI still haven’t gotten my BEAR arms as promised by the constitution, but I do luckily get to BARE arms. Maybe they meant I get to bare my arms to get my own pair of bear arms.
That is not the issue. They are the first ones to go under martial law, so there is a context under which they disappear in the blink of an eye and it is not only legal but considered good. The problem is not thinking those rights are essencial, but under what context they should be suspended or where is the blurry line. We have ignored the Khashoggi situation because of national interest, the same as Snowden or Assange, weapons of mass destruction in Irak, etc. ... and there are clearly 2 camps for each topic and clearly one outcome that violates all what we believe for a particular context that some believe to be more extremal than the others. What he is saying is an oversimplification, because for him there are such contexts as well, he just have not thought of it that way
He makes it clear that what matters most to him are truth and freedom. A religion has nothing to do with either. On the other hand, if you live in a bubble of beliefs and pseudo-revealed truths, you're free to submit to them, as long as you don't impose your point of view on others as the way to go...
It is a stretch to call Neil Tyson a physicist. He did research for only a brief time. He has a total of five 1st author papers, all from the 80s and 90s. Were they exceptional papers? No. Harvard turned him down for post grad. University of Texas dissolved his doctoral committee and showed him the door. For the past two or three decades he has been a pop science celebrity. And much of his material is wrong.
This.
😂😂😂😂 sounds a lot like Gad. Same clown utterly out of his depth.
He has basically been one step up from Bill Nye that child molester guy.
@@Upsideround Several books. A University professor. A very successful podcaster. Now, what is Gad out of his depth about? Or perhaps are you simply on the side of less freedom of speech?
Who cares, Neil's like Steve Irwin, passionate and entertaining! He's perfect for getting kids inspired by science.
I thought I was the only one who felt the same about Lex, I completely agree with Gad, and I love Lex.
I agree. Lex is a fraud. Complete grifter who's never had a real job in his life.
If it is not true, don't say it. if it is not right, don't do it.. If you always tell the truth you will have nothing to remember
@@SashaSyrup001 the world we live in. You can't change everyone, you only can focus on change within yourself. It's an evil world, be with them or be yourself!
@@SashaSyrup001 I can't think of any career politicians that fit my definition of success. The OP was talking about having to remember your lies though. So if a politician lies yesterday, they have to remember their lie today so that they can defend what they said and continue the deceit. If they don't remember their lie from yesterday then they will be caught in the lie.
@SuperNatural-qu9lz It’s hard for modern westerners to admit that this demoralized individualism is failing and it’s being outcompeted by tribalists. We use science to, in strictly humanist and utilitarian terms, create what we know to be good, create welfare and love as a lifestyle phenomenon that we can measure. That's our meager hoard of truth, a materialist reduction. As an approach, the project has clearly failed, but we are desperately trying to salvage what we can from it and a lot of our political and cultural malaise comes from refusing to accept that we can't use an algorithm or productivity numbers to overcome our self-awareness. That’s the issue with the materialist algorithm idolizers who cling to the idea you will be allowed to remain unaffiliated and meaning will come from more naval gazing while slinking away.
Lol
@@SashaSyrup001That person didn't say politicians are unsuccessful. What are you talking about?
Lex is the best of all of them because he does come from a good place and operates in good faith. He LISTENS. He asks good questions. He does fight back when necessary. More importantly, he has a history most people do not have and extensive experience with a darkness. He chose light. Do not fault him for this. There is room for EVERYONE. I typically like Gad Saad but strongly disagree with him here.
I agree. He makes fun of the idea that if the Naz1$ had love, they wouldn't have done what they did. Yet, that's precisely correct.
@@MiloTimberlake After being raised by Germans, I can confirm this is true. No love or much of any emotion in our house aside from anger and abuse. Hurt people hurt people. Lex just points out the obvious.
lex cried when interviewing kanye because he couldnt get him to say what he wanted.
@@TheMoneyGPS I watched that entire interview and do not recall tears. He was visibly upset several times by Kanye's comments on jews, but he held his composure.
He was holding back his tears. He tried to use the interview as a way to discipline Kanye and it failed miserably.@@briarrose7016
I like both Lex and Gad. The more elegant way would have been if Gad had simply invited Lex on his show and THEN address his issue with his "positivity". To mock him publicly and expect Lex to open his door to him is asking for a wee bit too much. It's too bad, a missed opportunity for an actual conversation.
Lex is a dork.
Did I imagine the part where he said he should've either invited me to his show or come to mine to have an intellectual "fight"?
@@brettharter143 not only is he a dork...hes a grifter. He's more of a construct than a real person. I'ts really not clear to me how he has become so popular. He's really not that intelligent and. Certainly isn't engaging. I think his act makes people think they are smart for watching him.
Your mocking is disrespectful. Please find another way to disagree.
@@scottwood5184 You gotta show me some respectful mocking first before anyone changes anything!
Tom Bilye is a fair and open minded Human being.. wish we had more like HIM. Thank you Tom for your educating the public and letting them figure it out by listening for themselves and hearing all these Guests positions/Views. Bravo! Knowledge is Power... and continuing to listen open mindedly is a positive approach to positive change. Awareness is key.
What does he taste like?
I think people misinterpret Lex Fridman's positive approach. I personally thought it was stupid go a long time but the more that I've watched him the more that I have realize that it is a very calculated approach to really get the people he interviews comfortable to be speaking on their true views
🎯
Exactly
*Lex activates charm mode
No one is just putting their true views on Lex if they don’t want to, just because of his approach. He had the worst interview with the ceo of Pfizer. Complete fluff piece. Ridiculous and embarrassing as an interviewer. Completely let him off the hook.
Fridman often comes off as naive, gullible and lacking conviction (which itself is something a construction, but not put to any interesting end). His guests get to have their way with him. It’s what makes Rogan a bad interviewer as well. It’s one thing if your show is just about broing down and cracking jokes with your buds, it’s another thing to be sitting down with incredibly rich, powerful and influential people and simply providing them a platform to telegraph an image and a message without trying to break down these constructions and challenge what’s going on behind them. Which is what good journalists do. Fridman and Rogan aren’t interested in this. And so as if by default they end up as crass promoters, industry cheerleaders and PR puppets.
"My North Star is human flousrishjing. I don't think you can get there without freedom of speech" - As comments are actively disappearing from this very comment section.
Wouldn’t yours be one of those if you were right?
KZhead shenanigans, he doesn't have time or care to manually delete comments.
It's definitely this platform. It's getting worse by the day and you wouldn't believe how many words and topics are hit by the Ministry Of Wrong Think by now. It's especially brutal once you start commenting about politics, political science, the current cultural issues etc.
You need to realize that youtube does this.
8:30: Even Neil dT should appreciate this one. He’s describing a modification to the Doppler Effect. It’s the Dopeler Effect: the tendency for stupid ideas to seem smarter the faster they come at you. 😂
Why would anyone have a problem with Lex ?- I like that Lex doesn't speak like some multi-level marketing recruiter. Tom knows all the cliches
The issue with Lex is that he will offer solutions to real world problems that are often quite naive and unhelpful.
In fact Tom is better at talking and debating, independently of being a business man.

Disagree. Stop trying to make Lex into someone else. We know what we are consuming when we click Lex.
One thing I love about Gad Saad is he's so practical but he also listens very well. What an amazing interview/Interviewer he is
You had me at "yes you have freedom of speech but..." I'm ready to listen to this one Tom!! Ty
It’s from an old podcast, you don’t have to wait.
I have never heard of Gad Saad before, but I absolutely love what he says in the last two minutes of this video.
He is amazing. He is the one who came out with this quote: " I have an obligation to objective truth ".
@@villaespesa1I already ordered his most recent book. I like reading what smart people have to say. :)

@@ianmiles2505 I think you're right 🤔
Too much talking from Tom. Wanted to hear more from Gad.
Lex is awesome. Tiny little ego, unlike this fella. It is so refreshing to have Lex on KZhead, with sooooo many fractured egos here, clamouring for attention.
Yes. Lex has an amazing intellect and is a great listener.
"tiny little ego" is an illusion believed by naive people
Yeah buddy boys…so true
1. He didn't have a "tiny little ego" when Kanye started talking about jews. 2. What's the appeal of that guy? His boring, robotic, monotone voice? His silly, childish, naive worldview? Or maybe it's his dashing and glowing charisma? Maybe it's his humor?
@@MisterCovek He's a sexy Russian. Back off, he's mine. 🤣
Neil DeGrasse Tyson has become a complete clown.
As far as Lex, some of it is anchoring yes, but some of it is also "I am not going to ruffle any bushes and play in the safe zone".... I like listening to his podcast from time to time, but I am also wondering that because he doesn't tackle a lot of blatant controversial subjects, as he plays the neutral card or safe card all the time, he probably has the "least" impact on anything changing at all.
that's the thing about people from academia very cold diplomatic attitude
There are plenty people who want to dig deep in adversarial/controversial subjects. Lex comes from the want to dig into the person and motivations show a different side , not the public facing one, not the polished one, but to discuss in how the person understands the world around them, not even what motivates them necessarily, but what informs their opinion. That is a truly rare form of interview at this time.
It amazes me how such smart people look at something clearly trying to be different and then forcibly compare it to what it never wanted to be.
And that's why he will be one of the few will remain in history. Because I history we have people who change and challenge the past, and the ones who documented the past. This two are very very important to coexist. Otherwise you'll have a distorted about the past as we often have.
Also, in our world is a lack of neutralised discussions. Which usually is boring and is not making any sense. But because we don't have any today, we feel the need of it and lex is very popular by doing it. You literally can't find anywhere else in this world what Lex is offering.
This would be a better show if the host let the guest talk. I used FF a lot to get through this.
Have just come across this channel in recommended videos. Does the host always speak in such a choppy manner?
I agree with most of this BUT Neal Tyson is far more full of shi* than Lex, By orders of magnitude.
this
"... no more depth, no more nuance..." Exactly, excellent. Subscribed! Depth of thought is being eliminated systemically, and we need to correct that.
I loved NDT, but he's absolutely diving into realms he knows absolutely nothing about and just providing a lib answer with zero critical thinking whatsoever
If he stuck with trying to make people excited about science and trying to get more funding for NASA because of all the things the space race produced, I would still think he's awesome. He's lost his damn mind though.

"I have a non fractured personhood " and a MASSIVELY ARROGANT EGO.
He may benefit from having a conversation with Prof Sam Vaknin, author of Malignant Self-Love, Narcissism Revisited.
why does him saying that about himself make him arrogant? Can one not speak about themself in a sincere and positive way without being branded as arrogant? Is it possible that Gad's confidence touches on the part of you that wishes to say something similar but won't allow it?

I don't know. Always be wary of those that pump up their own tyre, whilst deflating others in the same breath. Most of these talking heads lose credibility when they resort to doing this......and then the Orange Himler. What dos that mean?

It was like i am for the freedom of speech but not when it came to suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story as that would have benefitted the orange Himmler. Meaning Trump. That is what some people were saying in some conservative but anti Trump spaces. i agree we are well past the "think positive" phase. thats like grade school of the new collective consciousness. kindergarten
But we are still labeling? Our egos are grasping for levels of achievement while claiming liberation?
Speak for yourself. If you pay very close attention to your words, you will likely realize just how many generalizations you make. Those generalizations are the enemy of nuance, and nuance is the path to understanding. Perception is everything. Watch media all-day and you may completely fail to grasp any sense of progress being made by humanity and that pessimism will control your behaviors. If morale is low in an individual, that individual will ultimately be making decisions based on fear. If morale is high, that individual will try to make the world a better place.
@@limitisillusion7 this comment was too confrontational. We must speak to them like they are drunk. It technically is an 'us' conversation anyway. We are all one
@@hobgoblinhollow4966 The individuals make up the whole, but diversity is still a good thing. But diversity is not division. Lack of acceptance of diversity is division. If we accept each other's individuality, we effectively prioritize our human identity while celebrating our individuality. It really comes down to that: prioritize your human identity above any other subgroup and we'll have world peace. It will also make us a lot better at solving problems if we choose a human vs environment perspective, as opposed to human vs human. To understand how you actions effect yourself _through_ others is the epitome of wisdom in my mind. The golden rule is a good start, but it falls short when it comes to digging us out of the vicious cycles of low morale that we fall into as a species. Low morale means reckless behavior. If you don't care about yourself, the golden rule doesn't work very well and you can justify anything.

We need more insightful social analysis like Gad Saad !
I think Had doesn't really listen to people. An example of where Neil says I FEEL female, and Gad claim I AM female. There's a distinction in the English language between the 2. A very big distinction. To quote Ben Shapiro: facts don't care about your feelings. Gad seemed to confound the two to get a rise out of people.
2:30 the problem with Bret Kavenaugh, in fact any candidate for such office as a Supreme Court, is that there is a big difference between a criminal court hearing and a Supreme Court nomination hearing. Just because someone wouldn't be found guilty in a criminal court (high standards) doesn't mean they should automatically be found worthy by Congress to be a Justice or any high official. In other words, losing a nomination vote in the Congress doesn't mean that you are a guilty criminal, it just means that you are not a good enough nominee in eyes of the elected representatives.
Every charge against Kavenaugh was proven to be a lie. Try again soy boy.
Love and truth: that is christianity. You cannot put truth below love and compassion as everything fall appart, but you cannot act without love as everything also crumble. So sometime you have to be harsh to push for truth even when it's unconfortable.
Tom just because you have someone on your show doesn’t mean you KNOW THEM. You have spent time associating with them is all.
Oh Lord that bloody baseball cap 😂

I often wonder why Tom Biley does not interview Tom Bilueu, would love to hear his opinion.
I used to love this channel, now it’s totally gone downhill
Everything starts moderate and works to the extreme to maintain relevancy
How is this extreme?
Struck me as a bit pathetic how he somehow wanted lex to host him on his show as a response to his mockery of him, and somehow framing it as the proper way to do things. All while simultaneously stroking his own ego by boasting about sacrificing the opportunity to promote his book on Lex's podcast because he decided to keep it real (keeping in mind lex didn't invite him the first place).
Wow! A man with integrity left in America!😊
Is it all the neurotypicals judging Lex here 😂
Gad is awesome. Very logical smart man.
If you like superstitious, hypocrites... and sex offenders.
One thing intellectual titans such as Gad have a hard time wrapping their head around is the fact that some peoples derision for you as an individual might outweigh their exigency to discuss the weather, let alone a particular topic. They are overwhelmingly driven by their disputatiousness and find no room for interpersonal abstractions.
Me.
Remember the USS Liberty an all the brave men who died that day.
Sam Harris has reached his current stance not through careful thought but through emotion. His arguments have gaps so big you can drive a truck through them. He's also being intellectually dishonest about many things as a means to an end. That is not authentic, that is manipulative and avoiding points he doesn't like.
The only explanation I can think of is that he is beholden to interests that require him to take those positions. He's too intelligent to be so blind
What's his current stance?
Most of these so called logical folks are beholden to specific interests most of which stem from primal biases. All you have to do is give them time and they expose themselves. Articulate? yes, but logical? come on men...not even Gad Saad.
You must be a damn fool if that is your conclusion
You might be confused by this... But everyone's stances are reached through an emotional basis. Every stance you have is reached because you have a desired emotional outcome. You seek to influence other people with your stance to increase the likelihood of that desired emotional outcome. There is no argument you can make without an emotional foundation, because the very reason you're making that argument is emotional. For example, let's take the simplest argument: I would argue that 2+2=4 because if we can't agree on that, we are going to have lots of problems existing and interacting with each other in a society. If I desire to diminish those problems because it makes my life easier, that is an emotional desire. I seek to diminish the stress and that is my desired emotional outcome. That's why I argue that 2+2=4.... If I alone believe that 2+2=5, it wouldn't be much of a threat to you. You could probably ignore me and have no problems. But if I started convincing the masses that 2+2=5, you would get frustrated in short order and seek to change our minds... Now if we were to take more difficult problems, we would discover that the logic is not so simple to prove for us lowly humans.
Bitcoin is sound money for sovereign individuals
Love is definitely better than war... And it is definitely the opposite of love, that leads to wars... What a crazy reason to attack a deeply decent and (probably even smarter?) person like Lex Fridman?
What? They are intelligent and rational people? Is that the problem? Yeah..
This is the stuff!
Gad’s most viewed videos are always about Sam Harris. They get more views than any long form interviews of any guests. He has a good reason to keep doing them in perpetuity $$$$
They happen to be friends. Show me your evidence.
You realize millions of views are worth a few hundred bucks 😂 you don’t know the rate they get paid, this is obviously wrong
Dude is doing you tube as a hobby. He has an actual life and career you know
Did this guy take over all of Joe Rogan's interesting guests?
Yes! Good observation. He's that lucky sly guest who had a chance to come on Joe's podcast, relentlessly kissed his a**, was never invited again for being a faux, so he copied the guy who made him "famous" in the first place. Shameless weasel move.
It becomes clear just how many charlatans there are. Tom is no exception
Lex, being Lex, is now likely going to invite him on his show.
It is a huge mistake to avoid all suffering. Yes of course you don’t create more suffering in your life, but if you avoid it as a principal, well, there’s huge downside to that. Suffering informs us.
Gad Saad is no Dave Chappelle. Saad should drop the satiric vitriol among his peers.
The problem with satire online is it often doesn’t come across as satire, like it would in person.
The bigot thinks he's a funny intellectual. Cringe.
That is a real issue with criticism. I whole-heartedly believe in the power of art, namely comedy and music, to come with a sort of punch behind critisizing language that makes the net effect of the criticism more effective. But when you have a marketing professor like Gad Saad perhaps greatly over estimating their ability to use the power of satire to improve a point, they may end up doing more harm than good. I'm a free speech absolutist, but it takes wisdom to realize that ad hominems and condescending language are not necessarily valuable just because they fall under the category of free speech. You may do more harm than good if you fail to read the room. The greatest comics and lyricists always fall back on empathy and humility, and that is a very important aspect to understand. Critisizing another person or a group of people in a manner that's actually productive is an art in itself.
Eh I like Lex, I don’t need him to solve the worlds issues. He’s representing a truth which is easily overlooked and I don’t think he’s being dishonest.
Reasons to censor: - You're afraid of truth. - You want to lie.
Points for solid principles and yes, authenticity. I actually disagree with just about everything said beyond that, but I can at least get through it enough to begin to understand. The bar for conversation may be on the floor these days, but a win is a win, so thanks for sharing, guys.

I still don’t get why people go after Lex Fridman🤷🏻♀️. Yes, he is maybe too positive. That’s a reason to hate him?. Lex is good friends with Joe Rogan and Elon Musk. Elon is obviously becoming friends with Gad and Lex obviously don’t mind.
They don't want you on their shows not because they disagree with you. They don't want you on their shows because they have standards to uphold.
Remember Lex is much younger and he has done very well for someone a generation younger than Gad or Tyson. Lex may have some growing up to do but that's to be expected.
I don't agree with Gad about Lex. Lex has conversations, not debates, and I don't think Gad understands how this fundamentally changes the framing. It might not be what Gad wants him to do but it makes sense that Lex does things the way he does. To my mind it's a non-issue and doesn't deserve derision.

@@modern.performer Well yeah, that's kind of the point and the reason he gets some of his guests.
I think Gad Saad has a point... Lex does not have Bernie Sanders on his show.. and He leans Conservative, as many wealthy do. I think being open and allowing a *hash out* is a good thing. Congress does it ALL THE TIME. Don't we get upset with Congress???? When we don't have the ability to discuss things with them and their ideologies??? Gad Says.. I agree about the vital importance of free speech, the necessity of it for maintaining a healthy democracy, and am in favour of even the most vile ideologies having their right to free speech protected, but I find that there's a recent tendency among certain public figures to label criticism as an attacks on their free speech. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, because there have been challenges to freedom of speech from both sides of the aisle. When, for instance, someone make a public anti-semitic remark and they're dog piled by the "woke mob" online, this isn't a threat to free speech, it's others exercising their free speech in response. Oftentimes it's public figures -- politicians, comedian, public intellectuals, etc. -- claiming their free speech is under attack. Think about it: these are people whose free speech has not only been protected, but _fostered_ by broadcasting it to an audience so much larger than the average that they've achieved celebrity status. However, now that social media has allowed the audience to respond en masse, they feel they're under attack because the social consequences of their speech is more accessible and apparent. Social media also enables people to say thing that can negatively affect their careers, though again, an employer's negative response to one's speech is not a violation of the freedom of speech. I also see a lot of people equating social media's terms of service with the suppression of free speech, which is bonkers to me. IF the government placed its thumb on the scales when it came to the enforcement of TOS, _that_ would be a violation of freedom of speech. If a private company enforces its rules that are much stricter than what you're legally allowed to scream from your rooftop, that doesn't violate the First Amendment. These companies function like publishing houses, but instead of books or magazines, they publish tweets, status updates, pictures, etc. It's not a violation of the First Amendment for a publisher to refuse to publish your _Mein Kampf II: The Reich Strikes Back_ and it isn't when Twitter refuses to publish your "Just asking [the Jewish] questions..." Do I think the government should be able to step in and prevent a publisher or social media site that would publish or post that stuff from doing so? Hell no! In Germany, for instance, it's illegal to display Swaztikas and there are a number restrictions related to Nazism that would be considered free speech in other countries. The goal is to prevent the glorification of Nazism and to prevent history from repeating itself. If any country has cause to restrict extremist speech in such a way, it's Germany, yet _I still disagree with it because I believe the harm done by restricting the freedom of speech in such a way does more damage than good._ What about de-platforming conspiracy theorists? While I don't think de-platforming is an affective or appropriate response to the likes of Alex Jones, KZhead refusing to publish his stuff and the ability of affiliates and sponsors to drop controversial figures are not violations of the First Amendment, nor do I think they threaten the foundational principles behind it. He is well within his rights to release his videos on his own platform on his site, which he does! He still has a loyal fanbase willing to buy his shitty supplements. If you want to see what the suppression of the freedom of speech really looks like, look to Russia. People are being arrested for simply gathering in sufficient number, let alone protest. Aware they can't put down anti-war or ant-Putin slogans on picket signs, they started simply holding blank pieces of paper. Regardless, they were still arrested and given lengthy prison sentences or sent to the frontline. For years, journalists have been arrested, poisoned, those that display even the mildest opposition to Putin risk "jumping" out of hospital windows. Alexei Navalny, the opposition leader, was poisoned (which he survived), arrested on trumped up charges, sentenced to decades worth of prison time, and then murdered earlier this year. THAT is what the suppression of freedom of speech looks like. That doesn't mean I don't think we should be vigilant against the slow creep of government overreach to ensure we never get anywhere near that point, but it's frankly insulting to compare that to rich, butthurt comedians who can't take the negative response to their stale jokes because they went most of their careers without the immediate feedback of social media. If they're so concerned with threats to the First Amendment, maybe look to where the _government_ is actually taking steps to crack down on such things. Florida is literally banning books in classrooms and libraries, not just legislating free speech and expression, but taking the power away from parent and teachers ind termining what their children can and can't read.
Lex should invite Saad on to discuss this like an adult
If you are attacking the position, not the person, why target the person ? Brilliant.
A person who holds up a banner for a position is going to be critiqued. Do you lack a backbone and common sense?
volume is too low.
need more clips. 3 hour videos scare me
You can press Shift and > speed up videos up to 2x. The cool thing is that it makes slow talker sound way more interesting. Normally I kept it on 1.5 or 1.75, but if you click on the cog wheel on the lower right side you can to more fine adjustments. Shift and < slows it down.
@@Noise-Conductor but that's still 1.5-2 hours. I normal watch everything at 2x
We want to control behaviour to some degree. Ideally, we would allow complete freedom of speech and control behaviour to some degree. In practice, speech and behaviour are not divorced. However, ideas should not be completely shut down. So, where and when matters. It is not simple.
There are no problematic people, only old ideas that play their role in solutions.
Wait. Are they saying Lex Friedman is Against free speech?
Great clip!!
I think it can be that Lex is simply more optimistic and this is all about perspective. Personally. I myself am more like Gad and maybe one can view this as a brutal realist who can be seen sometimes as pesimistic, but I sure do enjoy peoples' perspectives who are more like Lex's and believe in this positivity. It's not wrong if it isn't an act.
He's a "public intellectual." How can that be since the larger public is by no means "intellectual." I get and support free speech as a right. What's often lost in that discussion is that responsibility comes with rights. That's why you can't yell, "Fire!" in a movie theater. However, if you are a public personality, igniting societal conflagrations through abject lies is totally permissible. We're fucked.
If someone yells fire in a movie theater, and people are smart enough to look around, smell the air, and ask the person where he is getting his information and why he believes it, then one very well has the right to yell fire in a movie theater, which will reveal he is an asshole, which is good information for people to know. That's why we allow ALL speech, not just some speech.
.... contrary to pragmatic calculus .... lol
Hey, Gad-Father looks great, what are you doing Mr (Not-so) Saad?
Fridman: by far best podcast of all - noone else on that level... Mearsheimer, Rubin, Musk, Isaacson, Voss, Huberman, Altman - every single one outstanding. And if in doubt: better to be romatic than cynical!
Or a lot of low brow people love him.
Gad Saad was courageously being his authentic self when he made fun of those people online. He woke up feeling spicier than usual (spiciness exists on a spectrum) and he bravely chose to be true to his authentic self, even at great personal cost. In case it's not obvious, I am criticizing Gad Saad for using the same north star of "authenticity" used by gender non-conformers. Many of his critiques are no better than any random pundit's - they appeal to the emotion more than the intellect, as they quickly crumble when probed.
Don't like Lex, DeGrasse, Harris or Gaad.
Gad Saad is exceptional
This could have been titled, 'how a guy with a marketing degree still doesn't seem to understand how he markets himself to others does not result in what he wants and therefore doesn't seem to know much about the one thing he actually is supposed to have a speciality in...marketing' but I guess that is too long of a title.
Wow! He got fit! Good for him!!!
Good stuff 🎉
Well, even when “you know” your, or a certain truth, new-found evidence or information can challenge it.
The only thing I disagree with here is the idea that NdGT is a public intellectual.
