Get yourself a Samsung Q990D soundbar you won't regret it 😊
how good is it
better than sonos arc?
@@haider9948no
Save money and get the 990c
Not better but close and half the price. @haider9948
Thanks for the detailed video! Could you please provide your thoughts on the TV sub-4k upscaling capabilities? That was a major criticism of the S95C so I'm hoping it's much improved.
sonos arc soundbar with some sonos ones for surround sound. wireless setup just so seamless
Nice video. I would love to see how this tv stacks up against my QN95C mini led which impresses the hell out of me!!
Hello, I want to buy the QN95C! Do you recommend it ?
Can you toggle screen to fit (picture size setting) on/off when watching sd live tv?
I will be using this as a computer screen so I actually want the matte screen to smooth out text and be a sort of free FXAA since I turn AA off
depending on the sound solution you are looking for you can go a few different ways, if you are going for style grab the Samsung S800D + 9500 rear speakers (if youd like, they are wireless but need to be plugged into an outlet). Another way to go is getting the new Samsung music frames! based on your video I can see you already have some picture frames and have a nice cozy set up so you can always grab 2 music frames and connect them to your tv wirelessly. Lastly if you want a cinematic sound get yourself the samsung Q990D or a sonos arc + sub + 2 rears.
Whaaaaaaattttt. I didn’t know about those frames holy crap dude. Flipping sick. Ok really really appreciate this suggestion man
I was heavily considering the S95D, but the potential issues with the One Connect box (2023 C series issues) made me eventually chose the LG G4. The G4 has been absolutely gorgeous and i'm over the moon with my purchase.
Maaaaann I’ve been trying to get the G4 but it’s not available in Canada. S95D was available. Wonder if I shoulda waited
The extremely high-quality remote on the G4 deserves special mention. Really gorgeous.
@@christopher377Is it high quality? Some people says it’s not?
Have you heard anything about problems with the current model year one connect box 2024, D series? I think it’s too early to know…
@@kineahora8736 so far we’ve been clocking a LOT of TV time due to a new born baby and a toddler. So far zero issues.
I love Samsung. Everything I own from them works like a charm. I run the odyssey G3 ( newer version, not the original with smearing) for gaming and the Samsung frame in my house for media with my wife. No issues with either.
Samsung TVs have a lot of issues. I had enough to prove that (and in forums you can also read about it). Imo one of the worst brands on the market. The only TVs that are okay are crap TVs (like TheFrame). But TVs with Local Dimming (Discloration Sideeffect) or One Connect Box (Black Screens with HDMI Gaming) are horrible. Also Ethernet Disconnects, Bugs and Glitches depending on the model.
How do you feel about the upscaling quality and level of details compared to other tv like top model from sony or lg?
I think it's about the same. One thing that makes a noticeable difference is how bright this thing gets, so I think it gets a + for that
2 hompods are amazing
In terms of price to performance it’s the LG C series for viewing and playing games, other companies are missing a trick with this. The LG C series is really sort after by PC gamers and console gamers
If you are looking for a great soundbar around 500 to 600 €/$ then I can absolutely recommend the Sony HT-A5000. It might not have a dedicated subwoofer or dedicated rear speakers, but the base is epic and there is definetly a very wide soundstage with upfiring speakers for dolby atmos/dtsx. You can buy rear speakers and a sub seperately too. I bought it a month ago and its perfect for me.
Badass. So I wouldn’t have to get it all at once it seems. Think I’ll check this one out
What are the benefits of glossy screens? I have iPhone,iPad,Asus laptop all glossy and Asus monitor matte, picture looks great +no reflections like on laptop screen placed in same position ...Thinking of buying LG C3 42'' and glossy finish is only thing that makes me hesitant...
better black levels in a bright and dark room and looks more premium a matte screen looks very cheap
@@CinemaPunk But in bright room(even in dark) reflection annuls blacks and vibrancy of other colors
In general - better image overall. No grain or coating to change your image. Even 5% of a different may be noticeable depending who you are and what your space is
@@MinimalisTech Is there grain on S95D?
I have a matte oled gaming monitor and a glossy oled TV. Both look great in brught and dark settings with deep blacks. I use them in the same room simultaneously and I like them both. I think this is a preference and nitpicking thing.
Something new for 2024, the 8k QN900D can play up to 244hz! Ive never seen that before in a tv.
To be honest I'm interested in the Panasonic 144hz Oled's.
I really like my JBL 5.4.1. The Atmos is really cool
Sick I’ll check this out thanks
Yup Damnit ☞MT!! Now I'm gonna Send 🔙 my Asus I just got! 🔥🙌🤝
😂 which Asus you got?
Just a suggestion, but it looks like your PS5 needs some ventilation. I think it is fit in too tightly interior entertainment center. I speak from experience .
I see blooming. Dam Matte Finish is absolutely nogo
Still super surprised they didn't make a glossy option!
That's from the camera. So many other youtubers have already said they don't actually bloom. Video footage looks way worse than what they look like in person
Ur u show signs of ignorance …. How can oled panel exhibit blooming??? Where does the light emit from?
@@stevenvruefranklin3421 matte finishes diffuse the light passing through them, which can create a bloom effect. but in this case it seems unnoticeable. rtings gave it a 10 on blooming if anyone actually cares to research other than complain lol
In your opinion is better than LGC2 for example?
Personally, yes - for my use case I think it's better in my space. Some folks really do hate that matte finish though
@@MinimalisTech yeah I think I would not like it. I love my C2 and I love the gloss finish it really enhances the picture quality but I understand where you’re coming from to each their own and whatever makes you happy you know.
Psvr2 fam🎉
Those matte haters are so annoying. There is only one TV like that on the market and the haters want to kill it so desperatly, taking away the only option for those ppl with bright rooms, who reall need a TV like this. Honestly whats the matter with you? Just STFx
People who hate matte are just very passionate about image quality. OLED's made their name on their image quality which is owed to their self emissive nature and the fact that they can get completely black and provide that infinite contrast ratio that MiniLED can't do. A matte coating by its very nature ruins this completely as it raises the black levels when exposed to light, making blacks appear gray, defeating the entire point of an OLED. And for a TV that costs over US$2000 that's not a good thing. It's a tradeoff that many people just don't find worth it at that price point all previous models were glossy, so yeah it's gonna sting when Samsung decides to make the new model matte, especially when Samsung is the only one with a QD-OLED this year, so there are no alternative options for those who want the best QD-OLED with a glossy finish to preserve the contrast ratio.
@@nihren2406 with the s95d black levels raises when exposed to light but at least you can still see the picture. With a glossy tv you cant really see the picture anymore, it is like nailing shiny diamonds into the screen. Yes it is still "sweet" bling blingy, even more with the sunlight, but it is not the picture the tv wants to show you
@@nihren2406 If you want to see true blacks, you need a completely dark room to start with. This TV with the matte film is designed to avoid reflections in well-lit rooms ... and if you have a lot of light, you will never see true black in that same room; you'll see reflections everywhere except for black and real colors
Good video. Samsung messed up the screen. The S95C is 77 inches is where its at with that gloss screen.
I was tempted to go S95C or LG G4. Hmmmm
@@MinimalisTech QDOLED is different man. S95C is my best looking set at 77 inches. If you want MLA at 83 inches this year the G4 would have the size but it’s still WOLED. Samsung should have made that matte screen a customization option not must have for consumers.
Are the blacks bad?
Oh no matte finish🫨
Matt screen destroy the contrast many other youtube reviews proof that it destroying sharpness quality of APL buy instead D90
Is the Samsung S95D 48 Gbs?
40 Gbps listed in the service menu
@@tracyfox1892 Is the LG G4 a lot better than the Samsung S95D or is there not much of a difference between the two of them? I want to get the S95D but I don't know if it's a lot worse than the G4. Is the S95D still a really good TV and worth getting?
one connect is a failure, Samsung is still pushing that garbage on top on not having dolby vision. Get the s89/s90c or d if you need 48
Nobody wants ? I bet it will be a best seller. In the dark it performs as well as 95 L , and in bright room you still see the pictures encens with less contrast whereas with the others you’ll see great blacks and yourself in the mirror
samsung still has some work to do regarding motion😅
It's 144hz
Get yourself Q990C or Q990D.
Nah man, TizenOS is not "really good" lmao. Its an OS that always lags and will randomly always add/remove tiles to block getting to the selections you need Also yeah that no Source Input button on the remote makes Tizen worse. Every source change is like 8 or 9 clicks of the remote at minimum, so it makes it a pain unless you use your tv only on 1 input (I unfortunately use all inputs on my S95B) Still a great tv for image quality, but between Tizen and the firmware updates drastically changing my picture quality over time with no way to change it back, not usually for the better, yeah I tell friends to stick with LG or Sony for OLEDs depending on their needs
I have the 55 inch variant of this tv that I use primarily as a PC monitor in a very RGB filled room with 2 very bright additional displays on both sides. Two displays on the bottom angled flat facing up. And a bright MacBook pro on the desk. Desktop with 12 argb fans and additional lights (nv7 case). Zero glare/reflections or blooming. The C1 I was using before would reflect like no tomorrow. The only downside is the one connect box. I am sorry samsung, you tried for years to make this work, but the box sucks and there is a reason LG stopped using it. Awful design. The tv is great, but if I had the opportunity to swap for the G4, I would. My brother is moving into a new house and this purchase came with a free 65 inch tv and I figured it would be a great house warming gift that cost me nothing which was the deciding factor.
ill never buy samsung again, the most recent update bricked my 4k QD 55 inch tv. i was warned about samsung years ago but ignored it because the tv was cheap, never again. i have the LG G3 and the picture is mindblowingly good!
Wahhhhh 😂
My QD oled from Samsung laughs at your LG. UNLESS you’re rocking that MLA
It’s 144hz..
Holy bloom. Yeah and that’s why no one wants matte.
Matte sucks. 0 contrast
have you seen one in person? it looks great
@@XLFluffyGuy yeah but side by side its low saturation and contrast cuz of matte display
@@nickitaabitov1265 not in a dark room though?
That greasy look in spreading out reflections is sometimes worse than the just having the reflection. Any serious watching would just require turning out the light and closing the blinds. But then this anti-reflective tech just takes a little away from the precision only a clear glossy screen could provide. To each his own but I'm leaning towards the S90D at this point. The G4 is nice but the new AI picture enhancer is inconsistent on what it does to the same scene when rewinding and checking again. Sometimes it sharpens, other times it does nothing, on the exact same spot. Weird. Plus, Samsung's tech of QD-OLED just has more color volume than WOLED.
NO!! get a Nacamichi Dragon. No need to buy any other soundbars!!
No Dolby Vision, no buy! I do like QD-OLED though as I own an Alienware 27” 360 Hz AW2725DF monitor for my PC and I want my next TV upgrade from my 2019 LG B9 to be a QD-OLED.
Dobly vision is darket and not a big difference with hdr
Dolby Vision is not really needed. The TV can hit 1000 Nits and has static tone mapping.
The matte coating ruins Vibrancy and deep black of OLEDs.. It's like taking off a rhino's horn
G4 is better
the s95d sucks ass a matte panel? really that negates the point of an oled. black in a lit room is grey blacks. i used to buy samsung but they ruined their best oled.
Honestly surprised they didn’t give an option for glossy considering it’s their flagship. It really works for me for my area/lighting but the panel get so bright I feel like glossy may have been the way to go anyways
I have a matte oled monitor and my blacks are black in a lit room. You must be using strobe lights or direct sunlight or something.
this tv is a disgrace to oleds
