I just want to play a simple game. The game that existed when first introduced, was fine. Turtles for tank crews stupid. It seems that wargaming think the players are all 12 year olds. Now it seems to have degenerated. I continue to play only for my own amusement. I still enjoy fighting against other players. I am 73 years old, the game helps me to maintain my brain.

I've been playing since sept. 2012, I'm almost 70 and I feel exactly the same. I don't think all these field mods and other non historical crap adds anything to the game experience. Like you said, Turtle tank crews are just plain infantile. There should be one turtle in the game and that's a UK tank destroyer.

I agree, I am 68, and slower than I was 12 years back when I started WOT, this game is crap compared to back then, endless gold ammo, skill means nothing, just press 2. not fun any more, Armoured Warfare is far less annoying, play vs bots, no gold ammo, a much friendlier economy, and less idiot kids. Yes, I am getting grumpy ! .

@@user-ho1fg8xm3i While I agree entirely on my worst days, I do feel overall WoT is "better" than it was when I started and was in (NA) Beta. Gold ammo isn't actually gold anymore (despite it's over-use, I feel like there should be set limits on how much you can carry per tank), there's not 5+ arty per side anymore, and arty is more annoying but less lethal in general than it was, the matchmaker tries harder not to screw you (as badly) now in that there's "only" max 3 +2 tier tanks in a match. On the downside, the game is faster, more arcade-y, power creep is really bad for us "old school" players, and premium ammo is much more prevalent. If WG would tune the game back down toward a more "Sim" or accurate mode (maybe a return of something like the old Historical game mode), I think we'd be in a perfect spot.

It's my fault. I finally found a heavy I liked and started playing the T29 and it got nerfed a few months later. I used Free XP and blueprints to get the VZ 55 and they announced the nerfs a week later. I grinded up and got the S Conq a couple of months ago and yippie they announced the nerf. Now I'm worried about buying the CS 63 and ruining yet another good tech tree tank.

The biggest and worst change that they made was to clans and tour of duty. I usually play solo and grind resources for my clan but now we're forced to platoon and even then, earn much less resources. It will destroy casual clans.

It makes clan members who are just solo farmers much less valuable. And you have to do 'detachment' battles at tiers VIII - X to really have a chance at completing the 3 mission sets. Detachment battles do not include platoon battles. Curious how this change will impact the flow of Industrial Credits from mostly lower tier farmers.

Luck for our clan, we have about 7 million resources atm..... so we should have time to figure out what needs to be done, before we run out. In a few weeks, everyone will know exactly what is needed, to keep the resources flowing. Also, you can get the last mission done with a platoon... you just need to get 1600 base exp, for the entire platoon. That is about 533 exp, each... lol. At tier 8-10 only, btw. It's brutal, if your a casual player. The try-hards will snuff you out, at those tiers.

What I thought was funny was that in that list of top damage dealers, the Super Conqueror wasn't even on the list. So yes, let's nerf it's DPM even more! Kind of reminds me of Germany's decision to mount tank turrets in fixed gun positions for the defense of Berlin. Guess they never considered that maybe, just maybe, the enemy would simply avoid them or reduce them to rubble with artillery. So now you get an invincible hull-down heavy tank that couldn't damage an opponent with wet cardboard for armor. And if that list doesn't demonstrate the "Russian Bias" in WoT then people just don't want to see the truth for themselves.

WG does have a problem attracting new players, so new tanks with immediate 100% 1 skill crew does reduce the gulf between new players & those with experienced crews. Having experienced crews moved over to new tanks at 30 or 60% skill effectiveness (without gold) also reduces the difference. I swapped a crew into the new t5 Polish TD (at 20k credits for 60% perks), & wish I hadn't bothered. Cant say this seems to be the answer to WGs main issues. TY Claus 🙏🙏

Claus, you completely missed how Wargaming "Improved Clan Tour of Duty Rewards" from being easy and done with normal random play to requiring you to platoon and complete, for an average player, extremely hard to complete missions or fight in a detachment that you may not want to do. They also God bless them removed the burden of having to get up to 78 free blueprint fragments a year. What a bonus. Climbing the tech tree will be so much harder now, I cannot say how much I appreciate that.

So instead of the reduction of xp only affecting the last perk not trained to 100% on the crew member, there is a penalty on all trained perks...unless you spend gold. Did I read it right? New recruits are free and start at 100% training instead of 75%. Perk training starts straight away.

Hey Claus - ANOTHER example of why I gave up grinding up to Tier X tech tree tanks; just like the removal of the Waffentrager auf E100 that I worked my butt off to get, only to have WG snatch it away within weeks of FINALLY adding it to my garage. While it's painful giving WG real $$ that's why I'll stick to the Premium tanks where (at least for the time being) they keep their grubby hands off the specs once released. And I justify the $$ spent on Premiums as a fair trade for all the TIME I'd have to spend grinding towards an uncertainly spec'ed future tank. Oh, btw I have watched both Skil & Dez videos regarding this patch and specifically for the crew changes, and of course, your video, and I'm STILL LOST. Oh well, it's back to Quantum Field Theory, that's simpler.

I probably has said it before: British tanks had been P:d on for years. Crusader: Once a brit. T34 - with gun depression and light camo. *nerfed* (or shall I say "buffed" a tier higher - with the same pen?). Covenanter - also raised a tier - with same pen. Cruiser II - the first low tier tank with a derp gun. First they nerfed HE, then the Fun Gun was removed. Then all heavies and td:s with "british cruising speed" - meaning you get bombarded from everything faster than a walking human. And to the poor guys who've bought the Churchill GC - "congrats!" You got all the slow speed of a heavy, a pencil gun - AND no turret. A tank for me is the balance between speed, armor and gun. Well, Churchill GC is VERY balanced - it has not a stat worth mentioning!!

If I understand the new crew system right it's better when you're working your way up a line with a new crew (no more spending gold or dealing with a 75% crew when you go from Tier IV to Tier V, for example) but worse if you're retraining an experienced crew for a new tank (you can have a 100% crew going from Tier IX to Tier X, but all your perks will be nerfed until you grind a bunch of XP)

I'm Canadian and played almost exclusively Brit tanks for years, the only US tank in my garage being the Ram (the only Canadian tank in the game), along with a smattering of German & French vehicles -- zero Russian tanks. But yeah I watched for years as endless Chinese and Russian tanks kept getting buffed while the Brit tree stood pat. Haven't played in three years but this move doesn't surprise me in the least -- only makes me glad I got out when I did.

The new perk system fks up hardest the players with very skilled crews who move them up between tanks for MoEs, but surprisingly for a new player, it is actually better. As previously when you have retrained your crew for credits, you tanks performance was reduced while you crew still used perks "to full extent" (so BIA gave you 5% to crew which went from 100 to lets say 80). Now the BIA will give you 3% to crew which is at 100. It means you tank will have no reload or other performance penalties when driven by crew "in retraining" apart from how it was previously. So if you are a joe avg who plays now and then and who progresses thru lower level tanks quickly, you wont be penalized compared to previous system. In previous system if you kept same crew and retrained it for credits it has barely got any better until tier 4-5 cos you retrained it sooo fking quickly. Mocking the crew system rework, which even its explained as a fking mess, made it better for new players.. Come on...

My understanding of new crew crap: If you have a 100% with 3 full perks crew and you transfer to another tank. Only paying with Silver (80% retain), Your crew will stay at 100%, but your 3 full perks will all drop to 80%. In the past: your 100% and 3 full perks crew getting retrained with silver (80% retrain) would drop your crew to 80% and rendering ALL 3 perks USELESS until crew was trained back up to 100%, then perks would kick in again full. The NEW way keeps your crew at 100% and just drops all perks to 80% allowing perks to still be in use but only at 80% until retrained back to Full. WG has never practiced KISS engineering, UGH. Rock on Tankers 🤘😎

That's one good thing Wargaming has done. That 50% and 75% crew was stupid to roll out against players with good crews. 100% crew makes a world of difference in rolling out in a new tank you pick up. Now Wargaming needs to make tier 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 all tier only games. Then allow tiers 6 through 10 to be multi tiered.

I played a few hundred hours to the point where spending more than £30 a week was needed to continue. I had about a 60% failure rate. Even if I did nothing I would expect to get a win rate of approx 50%. so for me, it was obvious I was just another cash source for them. My hopes of a win streak greater than 2 was severely dashed. I went off and played Guild Wars. I like watching your videos, shout out to you guys, and I think I may have been one of the many muppet losers that had to be carried.

Stopped playing WoT when they nerfed Arty and announced SCrew 2.0. Suspect this is politically motivated via-a-vis War in Ukraine and British meddling. Here they try to please their leader hoping he won’t confiscate their assets at home and send them to the Gulag for allowing British Tanks in game! I just want to play a simple game. The game that existed when first introduced, was fine. Turtles for tank crews stupid. It seems that wargaming think the players are all 12 year olds. Now it seems to have degenerated. I continue to play only for my own amusement. I still enjoy fighting against other players. I am 73 years old, the game helps me to maintain my brain.

I've been playing since sept. 2012, I'm almost 70 and I feel exactly the same. I don't think all these field mods and other non historical crap adds anything to the game experience. Like you said, Turtle tank crews are just plain infantile. There should be one turtle in the game and that's a UK tank destroyer.
funny, I feel like it's way better than when I left 8 years ago, and I was in beta. 5-8 arty per side, completely unbalanced MM, Type59 and Super Pershing nerfs...I remember all that.
I agree, I am 68, and slower than I was 12 years back when I started WOT, this game is crap compared to back then, endless gold ammo, skill means nothing, just press 2. not fun any more, Armoured Warfare is far less annoying, play vs bots, no gold ammo, a much friendlier economy, and less idiot kids. Yes, I am getting grumpy ! .
@@user-ho1fg8xm3i While I agree entirely on my worst days, I do feel overall WoT is "better" than it was when I started and was in (NA) Beta. Gold ammo isn't actually gold anymore (despite it's over-use, I feel like there should be set limits on how much you can carry per tank), there's not 5+ arty per side anymore, and arty is more annoying but less lethal in general than it was, the matchmaker tries harder not to screw you (as badly) now in that there's "only" max 3 +2 tier tanks in a match. On the downside, the game is faster, more arcade-y, power creep is really bad for us "old school" players, and premium ammo is much more prevalent. If WG would tune the game back down toward a more "Sim" or accurate mode (maybe a return of something like the old Historical game mode), I think we'd be in a perfect spot.

The reason for the SConq nerf is simple. Wargaming even says exactly why. "among the most powerful heavy tanks available _FOR RESEARCH"_
First Claus vid I’ve watched in about 4 years. WG hasn’t changed much……..
It's my fault. I finally found a heavy I liked and started playing the T29 and it got nerfed a few months later. I used Free XP and blueprints to get the VZ 55 and they announced the nerfs a week later. I grinded up and got the S Conq a couple of months ago and yippie they announced the nerf. Now I'm worried about buying the CS 63 and ruining yet another good tech tree tank.

The entire player base practically told them don’t change the crew system, but they still do it. Makes no sense.

Technically after much outcry they trashed Crew 2.0. These crew changes should've happened years ago
The biggest and worst change that they made was to clans and tour of duty. I usually play solo and grind resources for my clan but now we're forced to platoon and even then, earn much less resources. It will destroy casual clans.
It makes clan members who are just solo farmers much less valuable. And you have to do 'detachment' battles at tiers VIII - X to really have a chance at completing the 3 mission sets. Detachment battles do not include platoon battles. Curious how this change will impact the flow of Industrial Credits from mostly lower tier farmers.
Luck for our clan, we have about 7 million resources atm..... so we should have time to figure out what needs to be done, before we run out. In a few weeks, everyone will know exactly what is needed, to keep the resources flowing. Also, you can get the last mission done with a platoon... you just need to get 1600 base exp, for the entire platoon. That is about 533 exp, each... lol. At tier 8-10 only, btw. It's brutal, if your a casual player. The try-hards will snuff you out, at those tiers.
The 2x audio speed is a masterful touch, highlighting the comical nature of the change --- the shit show must go on.

I tried the new Polish tier V TD and went 27-3 in my first 30 battles. The power creep has really compromised older, ore difficult vehicles such as Ch. GC or Comet.
Super Conq is pointless now. Alpha is too low for trades. You dont even see it in onslaught. Was one of my favorites and now it's barely average.

What I thought was funny was that in that list of top damage dealers, the Super Conqueror wasn't even on the list. So yes, let's nerf it's DPM even more! Kind of reminds me of Germany's decision to mount tank turrets in fixed gun positions for the defense of Berlin. Guess they never considered that maybe, just maybe, the enemy would simply avoid them or reduce them to rubble with artillery. So now you get an invincible hull-down heavy tank that couldn't damage an opponent with wet cardboard for armor. And if that list doesn't demonstrate the "Russian Bias" in WoT then people just don't want to see the truth for themselves.
WG does have a problem attracting new players, so new tanks with immediate 100% 1 skill crew does reduce the gulf between new players & those with experienced crews. Having experienced crews moved over to new tanks at 30 or 60% skill effectiveness (without gold) also reduces the difference. I swapped a crew into the new t5 Polish TD (at 20k credits for 60% perks), & wish I hadn't bothered. Cant say this seems to be the answer to WGs main issues. TY Claus 🙏🙏

Alpha damage can lower it or make it higher would change dpm i believe without messing with reload. But yea wg are clowns

I am crushing it in Onslaught with the S Conq. In Randoms I am doing ok.
If super conq was that good it would have been a super reward tank that you needed a boosting company to obtain. I am so happy that they have made crew training more comfortable and easier to understand, just hope that have a new update to help explain the changes.
It's still a good tank for good players. Most of the ranting players are average at best. They sucked with the SQ even before the nerf.

Buffing the Pz VII and nerfing the S. Conqueror makes no sense. You seldom see a S. Conqueror on the NA server anymore. What is really annoying is that they keep adding things we never asked for (or even strongly disagreed with) yet none of the things we have been asking for are being worked on.
Pz VII really needs a buff. He is so bad you never ever see him anymore. For japanese Type 5 Heavy it‘s the same. And T110E5
I used to use some tier 10 crew members in low-tier tanks for occasional play (accepting 75% base performance), now that is no longer possible/useful because all perks will be 0% effective?

The day the game died... It's enough now... Stop fucking around. Wargaming... Just say that every killed crewmember should be replaced , retrained and reskilled before the next game... Wouldn't that be easier to understand? Retrain your crew if you lose them all with the tank... Ammo-Rack equals a total loss of tank and crew... Now that's fair in my book... Isn't it?
Let's keep an eye on the player population levels over the next few months or weeks. NA may never recover and the EU will most certainly decline.

Claus, you completely missed how Wargaming "Improved Clan Tour of Duty Rewards" from being easy and done with normal random play to requiring you to platoon and complete, for an average player, extremely hard to complete missions or fight in a detachment that you may not want to do. They also God bless them removed the burden of having to get up to 78 free blueprint fragments a year. What a bonus. Climbing the tech tree will be so much harder now, I cannot say how much I appreciate that.

So instead of the reduction of xp only affecting the last perk not trained to 100% on the crew member, there is a penalty on all trained perks...unless you spend gold. Did I read it right? New recruits are free and start at 100% training instead of 75%. Perk training starts straight away.

Hey Claus - ANOTHER example of why I gave up grinding up to Tier X tech tree tanks; just like the removal of the Waffentrager auf E100 that I worked my butt off to get, only to have WG snatch it away within weeks of FINALLY adding it to my garage. While it's painful giving WG real $$ that's why I'll stick to the Premium tanks where (at least for the time being) they keep their grubby hands off the specs once released. And I justify the $$ spent on Premiums as a fair trade for all the TIME I'd have to spend grinding towards an uncertainly spec'ed future tank. Oh, btw I have watched both Skil & Dez videos regarding this patch and specifically for the crew changes, and of course, your video, and I'm STILL LOST. Oh well, it's back to Quantum Field Theory, that's simpler.
I probably has said it before: British tanks had been P:d on for years. Crusader: Once a brit. T34 - with gun depression and light camo. *nerfed* (or shall I say "buffed" a tier higher - with the same pen?). Covenanter - also raised a tier - with same pen. Cruiser II - the first low tier tank with a derp gun. First they nerfed HE, then the Fun Gun was removed. Then all heavies and td:s with "british cruising speed" - meaning you get bombarded from everything faster than a walking human. And to the poor guys who've bought the Churchill GC - "congrats!" You got all the slow speed of a heavy, a pencil gun - AND no turret. A tank for me is the balance between speed, armor and gun. Well, Churchill GC is VERY balanced - it has not a stat worth mentioning!!

If I understand the new crew system right it's better when you're working your way up a line with a new crew (no more spending gold or dealing with a 75% crew when you go from Tier IV to Tier V, for example) but worse if you're retraining an experienced crew for a new tank (you can have a 100% crew going from Tier IX to Tier X, but all your perks will be nerfed until you grind a bunch of XP)
Or pay gold to not suffer like a poor peasant...
@@plektosgaming I mean you always had to suffer like a peasant without gold, but I'm guessing this way is worse at high tiers (80% crew with full perks is not ideal at Tier X but probably better than 100% crew with nerfed perks)

I'm Canadian and played almost exclusively Brit tanks for years, the only US tank in my garage being the Ram (the only Canadian tank in the game), along with a smattering of German & French vehicles -- zero Russian tanks. But yeah I watched for years as endless Chinese and Russian tanks kept getting buffed while the Brit tree stood pat. Haven't played in three years but this move doesn't surprise me in the least -- only makes me glad I got out when I did.
Lol One more reason to stay a occasional player, used to love this game. now maybe 3-4 rounds a month, BUT Watch Claus everyday, twice on Sunday!!

The new perk system fks up hardest the players with very skilled crews who move them up between tanks for MoEs, but surprisingly for a new player, it is actually better. As previously when you have retrained your crew for credits, you tanks performance was reduced while you crew still used perks "to full extent" (so BIA gave you 5% to crew which went from 100 to lets say 80). Now the BIA will give you 3% to crew which is at 100. It means you tank will have no reload or other performance penalties when driven by crew "in retraining" apart from how it was previously. So if you are a joe avg who plays now and then and who progresses thru lower level tanks quickly, you wont be penalized compared to previous system. In previous system if you kept same crew and retrained it for credits it has barely got any better until tier 4-5 cos you retrained it sooo fking quickly. Mocking the crew system rework, which even its explained as a fking mess, made it better for new players.. Come on...
My understanding of new crew crap: If you have a 100% with 3 full perks crew and you transfer to another tank. Only paying with Silver (80% retain), Your crew will stay at 100%, but your 3 full perks will all drop to 80%. In the past: your 100% and 3 full perks crew getting retrained with silver (80% retrain) would drop your crew to 80% and rendering ALL 3 perks USELESS until crew was trained back up to 100%, then perks would kick in again full. The NEW way keeps your crew at 100% and just drops all perks to 80% allowing perks to still be in use but only at 80% until retrained back to Full. WG has never practiced KISS engineering, UGH. Rock on Tankers 🤘😎
No your perks worked at 100% even if your crew where at 80%. Bottom line is you can't move a 5 skill crew into another tank going up a tier to the next tank or for seal clubbing without paying gold.
They reduced the Super Conq to make my Objekt 452k look less like a turd emoji.

How does it come that some tanks appear twice in that fishy list (obj 452 k) and why is wt e100 listed?
I played a few hundred hours to the point where spending more than £30 a week was needed to continue. I had about a 60% failure rate. Even if I did nothing I would expect to get a win rate of approx 50%. so for me, it was obvious I was just another cash source for them. My hopes of a win streak greater than 2 was severely dashed. I went off and played Guild Wars. I like watching your videos, shout out to you guys, and I think I may have been one of the many muppet losers that had to be carried.
If there are going to be above average players there must be below average players as well, that’s maths. Below average players seem to make the game playable for above average players, so they can buff their egos.

I tried to use crewbooks yesterday would not let me said not enough xp to vehicle. So was going use gold to retrain would not let me. Wanted me to use free xp to train. But no to the books.
I haven't played WOT since just after new year. Haven't missed it a bit after playing regularly and paying a lot for boxes and tanks since beta. I am not sure who WOT is catering to,but it wasn't me, regular Joe in all these changes.

The 279e and chieftain are mostly played by super unicum players so those tanks will always be on top so long as us not so good players don't have it

Stopped playing WoT when they nerfed Arty and announced SCrew 2.0. Suspect this is politically motivated via-a-vis War in Ukraine and British meddling. Here they try to please their leader hoping he won’t confiscate their assets at home and send them to the Gulag for allowing British Tanks in game! Seriously though, great video as always Klaus, shame WoT is still such a shit show!
