Always wanted to own a BRDM2 .It’s not it’s not an unreasonable fantasy either. You can get them and have them shipped to the states for about 20 grand in very good condition

I would like to do a 5.9 conversion on one, but haven't seen anyone else do it yet. I seen someone to do it with the Gage Commando though.

i really like the BDRM............however, i'd like to see a few changes made to it. I'd get rid of the two drop axles (i used to drive a dump truck with drop axles.........they are annoying to deal with). I'd make it a 6x6 vehicle with air down tires (to increase the footprint on sandy beaches for traction). and i'd add a "drop mat in front of the rear 4 wheels (1 on on each side), than can be dropped, run over, retracted..........and dropped and run over again (if necessary to gain traction). having a track all of the time has its drawbacks. and having wheels all of the time has its drawbacks..............but, a retractable "drop mat" to run over, pull up, cycle forward, and run over again.........when necessary at the necessary time................has never been done on any vehicle i've ever seen. The BDRM is perfect for such an experiment.
