This wouldn't look out of place in a royal collection of treasures. Well done!
Exactly what I thought! This is a kings blade!
Not really, it would stick out
these are better than kings blades. modern tech is awesome
I disagree. It would stand out over and above most of what you find in a royal collection.
The blue would make it stand out, but in terms of fanciful design comparison, it's mid!
This belongs in a museum with people admiring it for 1000 years
Another piece that would not be out of place in an age of myth. I wonder how many of your works will end up in museums. Fantastic work.
No question, this is one of the most beautiful knives I’ve ever seen. Great job.
It would look right at home amidst the Crown Jewels ...
You can tell he is proud of this one. And holy smokes he 100% should be. That’s amazing.
I swear to God, I was on my bike riding home from work yesterday evening and I thought, 🤔 it's a long time ago Kyle posted a video. Aaaaand here you are! Can't wait to get home to watch it😊
Maybe you shouldn't swear to God , yeah you probably shouldn't do that ...
Maybe your boss is looking over your shoulder!😅
Uow pensei o mesmo e sempre vou no you tube e no insta verificar suas postagens
@@ibnewton8951 when i'm on my bike to home? I don't think so
@@joesguiltyguitar it doesn't exist enyway, so I think I'm good
Hey Kyle beautiful Bowie, the lapis is stunning. Hey I’m a knife maker from Canada and a lapidary artist. In my Experience working with many different Gemstones the soft backed diamond nova wheels work amazing for achieving a high gloss polish. The wheels can run up to 14,000 grit and then a light buff with cerium oxide on a leather pad works amazing. Oh the Damascus on that blade is fantastic 😮
Geez Kyle, that's beautiful. At this pace you'll be the royal armorer of some European royal family before long.
I'm sure you have heard it a million times, but your craftsmanship is next level. Very impressive.
As ever, I am absolutely flabbergasted and blown away by the attention to detail. The bright cuts are a small addition that make an ENORMOUS difference in the appearance of the final piece. These videos always inspire, but this is a whole new level, at least for me.
Normally, I'd see a notification for a 50 minute video and I roll my eyes. But Kyle Royer or Blacktail Studios videos and I know my jaw will be on the floor in awe while I watch. To me, you're both PhD degree level craftsmen. Respect from Manchester, NJ, USA.
I subscribe to both😂
Great minds think alike!
Yep, same same.
So, anyone else enjoying 8h videogame analysis vids?
I wonder if Cam and Kyle watch each others channels
This is probably the nicest knife I have ever laid eyes upon. Your work speaks for itself and I could listen for eternity.
this one has to take place in a museum ....
This is the most beautiful hand made item I have ever seen! You, WOW, you!!!!
Seeing that finished knife almost invoked an emotional response, it was so beautiful.
"Almost invoked an emotional response" felt that brother
Skill. Dedication. Talent. Enthusiasm. Cinematography. Results. This is one of my favourite channels for all those reasons and more.
I have never watched a video of yours. It was truly breathtaking you caring so much about the most minute details. The end result speaks for itself. This is a blade worthy of a god. Insane. I'm not joking when I say that my eyes got a bit watery in the end.
The talent from Kyle absolutely blows me away. I'm speechless with every knife that he builds. VERY nice work!! Absolutely amazing craftsmanship.
you tell us how satisfying it is for you while making these blades. dude, it is so satisfying for me to see you doing such detailed and beautiful work!
Dude, this is a masterpiece. It belongs in a museum of smithing - it belongs in the center of its own room. Holy crap.
To a fellow knife maker, that is one of the most amazing blades I’ve seen. I love the use of stone in handles. Jay fisher is another of my favorites when it comes to gemstone handles
One of the best pieces you've ever done. You will go down in history as one of our generations greatest bladesmiths with your amazing demascus patterns. Someone commented your pieces will be in museums one day and I absolutely agree. Please don't stop making knives and the patterns your mind comes up with
This is one of, if not THE, most beautiful knives I've ever seen. Great job, Kyle!
Watching the master at work, I'm awed , humbled, and made envious. Definitely a masterpiece
The blade looks like a piece of jewelry, and the detail on the guard is stunning- when fantasy authors describe knives/swords THIS is the image they are trying to convey! This is higher level of excellence I'm not even going to talk about the sheath. Great build!!
what a masterpiece! The level of craftsmanship, artistry and love and attention for detail is stunning! worthy of a king, i hope you get paid like one, because you truly deserve it for this work!
This is one of the greatest knives ever made, your skill and craftsmanship are amazing. Keep up the excellent work 👏
Always a pleasure watching you create your ART. Best.
this isn't just a knife. IT IS ART!!!!
I hardly comment on videos, probably because I'm too lazy to. This knife is absolutely perfect! Your narration is inspiring and your satisfaction of your perfect work is incredible. Well done on such a masterpiece 😊
I’m starting to like stone handles now. I haven’t seen such a hilt construction so intricate since I’ve started looking at artisanal knives. Talk about being blown away by the craftsmanship.
This is absolutely gorgeous. And what makes it even better, is that you shared the journey with us, so we don't just see an impressive masterpiece of art, but got a glimpse of what went into that.
When a person acquires a unique degree of knowledge and experience, he becomes a master at what he does. For me, one of the greatest cutlers I've ever seen, certainly one of the best in the world. Congratulations and all the best always.
Take a shot of your favorite adult beverage every time Kyle says "Background"!!!😂😂😂😂😂 All jokes aside, this is definitely an amazing piece!!!! You inspire me to put this much attention to detail into my wood working projects!!
And "chatoyance". Kyle is the first person I ever heard use that term. I rightly so. With the mastery of his work, I guess he should be able to lay claim to that word.
A level of passion, expertise, knowledge, scrutiny, attention to detail, commitment and sheer brilliance rarely seen these days. Your work is exceptional and beautiful.
Your Artistic design coupled with your singular craftsmanship make this piece timeless.
To get a perfect finish on minerals use a fluffy microfibre cloth with cerium oxide powder. Works better than diamond as even super fine diamond is more aggressive
Reminds me of a travel knife Merlin may have used.
glad to see your shop is getting some huge upgrades, you deserve it!
Everything Kyle creates is just a pure work of art.
Charoite. And now lapis lazuli? You are going right to the top of beauty. Of course. There are quite a few that could be on that list. The granites in the table top world are amazing: Juparana Bordeaux, the many black/quartz mixes, etc. And your starter blocks of charoite and lapis... wow.
Such a magnificent knife in such an ugly sheath. 😢
You make such beautiful art! Functional art is probably the best description of what I mean. I’ve been following your channel for years, always enjoy seeing both the process and the final product!
This engraving work is some of the most beautiful work I’ve ever seen. This is an heirloom piece for sure.
I follow quite a few blacksmiths on KZhead and this is by far the most beautiful bit of craftsmanship I've ever seen. Jaw droppingly stunning. That Damascus is phenomenal
Kyle, you’re simultaneously your own biggest critic and greatest fan. It’s one of the things that makes your videos so enjoyable - apart from your absolutely incredible craftsmanship of course
I have never seen such attention to detail and such beauty in a knife.
Incredible start to finish, deserves to be preserved in a museum
A real piece of Art. Your attention to detail is incredible. Great Job. Thanks for sharing the craftmanship.
I've never seen a more beautiful knife in my life! A whole fantasy series should be written about this knife!
GORGEOUS! Excellent work, Kyle!!
Unreal! I LOVE your videos!! Video quality is A+ as always!
Seriously so cool! Thanks for sharing your journey of creating the blade.
Brilliancy through Art, Passion, and Discipline. Thank you
Gotdang.... that is far more than just an heirloom, that belongs in a vault to be admired for centuries because with that level of craftsmanship it will last until archaeologists are theorizing about us. So incredible, so stunning and my god so expensive too. Your materials suit your care and love for the craft my dude, exceptional work.
Kyle's craftsmanship and passion never ceases to amaze me. Truly one of a kind
a master at his craft.. such beautiful work!!!
So good to have you back! This was worth the wait and can't wait to see the sword you're working on!
such a beautiful piece. a true work of art. well done
That piece is definitely going to end up in some museum a lifetime from now.
this is insanely beautiful! always a pleasure and a privilege to watch and enjoy your process
Each piece you do seems to level up from the last one. Truly impressive!
Your knives just keep getting better. Well done sir. It's beautiful.
Jesus Kyle. You keep outdoing yourself. This is one of my favorite knives you’ve done and you’ve done a lot. As always well done. It’s stunning
I finally have all I need to start knifemaking in earnest and look forward to creating something that won't be of your standard but you are the bar to reach for...I love your work and videos!
That's absolutely amazing, Kyle! Beautiful!
Every one of your creations truly is a masterpiece. You have an awesome gift and thank you for sharing them with us. Much love and gratitude.
Wow the leather sheath is also mesmerizing ❤❤ Amazing craftsmanship
Great insightful angles on the knife and your presentation, AWESOME!
Amazing! Extraordinary work Kyle!
Added bonus for this piece. The inclusions on the lapis handle will react to uv light with little flecks of orange light. I can only imagine how beautiful that knife would look under a blacklight
This is incredible. The best build I have ever seen. 🥰
What an absolutely stunning piece of craftsmanship and art. You're truly an artist. I'm sure you're parents must be so very proud.
Amazingly beautiful piece! Awesome video, thank you for sharing.
Absolutely the star of your efforts at this point! Stunning work!
There aren't even words for describing how beauitful that looks! It looks absolutely amazing!
I miss the multiple video series for these amazing builds! Absolutely incredible work!
Once again Kyle hooked it up! He is not only a knife maker, but an artist as well. Nice video.
Everything about that blade is a work of art. You make the legendary items from video games and movies, real artifacts that are beautiful. Wonderful work Kyle!
My favorite is where the gun blueing leaves the gold shining...georgeous.
My goodness this knife is incredible and your entire collection is jaw dropping. Amazing work!
yeah you can definitely see this thing is made with full love!
Amazing craftmanship, the finish on that blade is really captivating!
This is by far one of the best and brilliantly informed educational KZhead channels I've ever happened upon, I can quite comfortably sit and watch you for hours on end, thank you ever so much for such a brilliant and well produced series sir.
Sir, that is an incredible piece of work. Great job.
Amazing work! As a cabinet maker I notice a destinct difference with the use of materials between European and US work. In Europe materials have not been so abundant so the finished product reflects the preciousness of the materials. In the US money seems to be no object so you see lavish use of materials... Where I would use expensive veneers on a cheaper material, in the US they'd use solid wood, sparing no expense. Incredible journey and what a great result..
Every single finished product i have ever seen from you is always a one of a kind masterwork. You make some of the most beautiful blades the world has ever seen, surely. And the fact you do things like engraving by hand is just. Wow. You truly have a gift and the things you make are on a fantasy level of beauty.
You're my knife making hero. My definition of a hero is someone that gives inspiration through achievement. 😙
What a masterpiece! You're incredibly gifted! I enjoyed watching every moment in this video. I'd never sell it!! NEVER NEVER. NEVER!!!!!!
F***ing incredible Kyle! Your attention to detail is unmatched. That is a thing of beauty!
Wow!!..That is the most awesome looking knife I’ve ever seen in my life. You really out done yourself this time Kyle. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent
Man, your work is amazing. Art.
That is a genuinely beautiful piece!
A true work of art. Well done!
You blew the roof off with this again. Beautiful simply beautiful
I am impressed! Well done!
Absolutely stunning!! BRAVO!! 👏
Dude... That's a masterpiece for sure!!! Unbelievable!!!
Kyle makes the most beautiful blades EVER period, I have never seen prettier, anywhere else.
absolutely beautiful... Such a stunning blade!
