Scotland’s First Minister Humza Yousaf is fighting for his political future as he faces a vote of no confidence in his leadership as early as next week.
This morning, Mr Yousaf ditched his power-sharing deal with the Scottish Greens, who tonight confirmed they will be voting to oust him, alongside the Scottish Tories and other opposition parties.

Humza Yousaf was born on 7. April 1985 in Glasgow. He is as Scottish as can be... But that's not what you're referring to, is it? Showing your true colours. Tell me this: if your 'demand' isn't met, what are you going to do?

I hate to break it to the unionists (north and south of the border) but the reality of Scotland not being a part of England has been so long before the SNP came into existence last century. The fortunes of one party, however they wax and wane, changes nothing on that front. The union that exists between the parliaments of Scotland and England is only temporary.

Yousaf’s personal position may be in doubt but people too often conflate the SNP with Scottish independence and vice-versa. The SNP just happens to be the political party vehicle carrying the hopes of independence, but if the SNP vanished tomorrow there would still be a steady 40-50% support for Scottish independence and another party would emerge to fill the void vacated by the SNP.
SNP haven't wanted independence since Salmon. They would rather collect their comfortable salary from HMRC than give the Scots the freedom they desire.
