I love how Ronan is thinking intensively on whether to attack thanos for insulting him, Ultimately deciding that he can not beat him. It’s a hard pill to swallow for his self confidence . Nebula probably sensed his inner conflict and told him that it’s a fight he can’t win and telling him to leave together.

This is a good scene. You can see that even though Ronan serves Thanos, he’s still a boss and used to being one. Even the way he speaks to Thanos. It’s almost as if he’s saying Thanos screwed it up, and he’s playing around. Which he is. But you get the sense Ronan is used to running his own ship. When Thanos turned his chair around saying he doesn’t take Ronan serious, you can see Ronan see that as a challenge and disrespect. He knows Thanos is more powerful but he’s so ambitious, he sees that difference in strength as temporary. At the end of the day though, Thanos is scary🤣
Ronan is just another meat that Thanos feeds to his outriders.

Actually, Thanos did smile by the end of Infinity War after he accomplished his mission. EDIT: I forgot that Thanos also smiled at the end of both Avengers 1 and Age of Ultron.

Ronan was probably one of my favorite MCU villains out of the phases so far. I love his costume design and the actor was great in his role.

@@KYoung-kj7hrSteppenwolf was working for Darkseid and was basically Darkseid's bitch while Thanos only wanted the stone but Ronan defected took the stone for himself and aspired to become a threat to Thanos himself while all Steppenwolf wanted was to please Darkseid and Steppenwolf was getting punched and smacked almost the entire movie by everyone except for the weaker beings so Steppenwolf isn't really an intimidating villain and it doesn't really work better

James Gunn said this was the most difficult scene to write because this scene could potentially undermine ronan especially since he's supposed to be the main villain of this movie so they had to let him kill the messenger to make him dangerous as well. Remember this messenger also bullied loki.

This version of Thanos looked and felt dangerous. Especially when he gave the line about bathing the staways with Roan's blood. Evil may be the word, but threatening is definitely it. Infinity & Endgame he looked more kick back slient.
Mostly because Marvel and likely Disney trying to make him more sympathetic in his reasons for wanting to do the Snap with the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos over here in GotG is more similar to his original comics version.

Doing nothing? The man literally wiped 50% of lives on many planets, that's at least something. And also, they nerfed him in the later movies. When he appeared in Age of Ultron post-credit scene,or even earlier, in the Avengers post-credit scene, we all though Thanos was impossible to beat in 1v1 fight for anyone. And he turned out to be just a regular big purple man in the end. He beat Hulk but no one cares about it, their argument is "Hulk was weak". My point is that, they ruined the hype of Thanos

I love how this cameo works even if you didn’t see The Avengers in a basic “oh he’s working for a big bad guy” way but if you did see The Avengers, it also works in an “oooo that’s the guy Loki was working for.” Way.

Maybe even its an ironic gesture. "Sanctuary" was the ultimate place of safety and refuge for a whole star system of beings who put a decent enough fight that Thanos decided to make them an example. Another idea is that it is like Dr Strange's nest in New York. Convergence of magical energies. It was once a wizard sanctuary.
I wonder why they didn't show us this sanctuary turf of Thanos in Endgame and Infinity War.

I love the continuity in the mcu. I love how the Russo’s made it so the endgame Thanos was like this version. This is the version who hasn’t gone through the character arc in Infinity War which makes sense as to why he’s more brutal in endgame. I don’t get why people don’t like the writing behind that.
I think people were let down because they'd come to really like the Infinity War version of Thanos.
This version of Thanos is definitely way more comic book accurate in terms of character. Infinity war Thanos is completely different from start to finish and endgame Thanos is similar to this version but its like they tried to combine the 2 and it didnt work out.
I don't like it because if you're going to make an adaptation of a character. You should strive to at least make it accurate to some degree. Thanos in Infinity War was not Thanos. He was your stereotypical villain nowadays that claims he's doing it for the good of all people. I want to see villains that are just evil again it's been so long and this good bad guy trend is killing me.

I find it awesome that in the beginning of Infinity War he still had this scary arrogant demeanor, but his journey for the stones made him a more humble 'person', like he couldn’t even bring himself to kill the avengers before collecting the mind stone. And snapping his fingers.
Clearly you dont understand infinity war thanos. Thanos deliberately didnt want to kill anyone before he snapped, because he wanted as many people as possible to have their fates to be decided at random by the universe when half of life was erased.

I always read Thanos' expression at 1:51 as "Yeah, just you come and try to step to this you little B...."
I do miss this era of the MCU, personal issues with some details of the films like this one aside, they did a great job of building the universe around the characters and giving the feeling something BIG was being led up to down the line. Now it just feels they've gotten lazy since they don't need to try that hard anymore. Barely even try to use the other creative Superheroes of Marvel they could try to hype up now that they've done plenty with the starting ones of the MCU.
Who else prefers this look for Thanos over the look from Infinity War and Endgame? To me the armour and skin tone looks better.

This is the most comic accurate Thanos design. I don't understand why they changed the CGI model for Infinity War and Endgame. Even the armor design looks different as well especially the helmet.
I liked the glowing eyes, I don't know why they changed it in IW.
This design was cartoonish. “Comic accurate” doesn’t always translate well to movies. The infinity war design was a huge improvement
@@4477superman I much prefer this design than the new one. Thanos in Infinity War and Endgame looked too human for me, and less like a purple alien warlord, covered in gold and blue armor.

Thanos died from ants. Don't worry, those ants are hyper intelligent and very advanced than Thanos so 10/10 best scene ever!

Thanos Enjoys 3 things in life: his Chair, gardening, watching sunsets; he would prefer to do those last 2 while in his favourite chair and watching the space channel at night after the sun has gone down and he can't do gardening anymore.
His smile gets me every time.
I immediately had Nebula as one of my favorite MCU characters after seeing this scene 💗

Is not the thing that he is Purple or Blue , is the fact that this thanos on the clip was not an actor underneath but a pure CGI creation , This is the Thanos we wanted in "Infinity war" and "End game" , but they gave us Thanos played by an Actor underneath
