Idk if it’s on us for assuming too much, or it’s on the movie for not clearly explaining their relationship. I haven’t seen it in awhile but I recall the scene when Marty is introduced kind of giving the impression that they are siblings. That’s the tone it sets……. Also got the 69th like on this comment, nice! Lol

The true, unbridled chaos of dozens of different, entirely unrelated creatures bursting out from the doors to just massacre everything around them was a real sight to behold. I remember thinking back when I saw it for the first time that this is the closest thing to an SCP movie that we've ever gotten, and as an early teen that was obsessed with SCP at the time, I was fuckin' ecstatic.

There are references to significant moments in life in the background at the beginning, and he even does a golden chainsaw and dull machete.

  • One of the best things was finding the novelization of the movie in the airport before watching the movie. I absolutely loved hearing the inside of the characters, minds, and the details of the book and everything before watching the actual movie. I usually always find the book better than the movies, because obviously books can go into a lot more detail than movies can, and this book was no exception. But I really do love the world that was created with in this movie and if you enjoyed the movie, I highly recommend checking out the novelization!

  • My theory has always been that Marty is actually the virgin and Dana is the fool. Marty is continuously painted as kinda the outcast/weird kid, but also happens to figure out the situation first, and Dana is the heartbroken girl who had an affair with a professor. Even if she didn't sleep with said professor, her behavior towards a relationship that won't happen gives weight to her being the fool and also suggests that she isn't exactly innocent sexually. This theory lends a little credit to the fact that they never disclose either of the twos sexual past in any conclusive detail.

    • I sometimes think about it. I wonder if it was a legitimate plot point that the producers didn't reveal. Interesting to think if Marty had killed Dana in the end at Sigourney weavers request, saying the Virgin needs to die to complete the ritual, and then nothing happened, OR, Marty kills himself in a unique twist where they all had Dana pinned as the virgin, and it ends up being Marty who sacrifices himself for mankind. Even his name closely resembles "martyr". I'm happy with the ending as it is. Maybe it was chosen as a sign of solidarity among Dana and Marty, to not turn on one another. Maybe it was deliberately left open ended as to which was the virgin so theories like this can exist and fans can discuss. Or maybe it was never even thought about and we're all just wasting our breath lol who knows.

The skit had the ancient one be a viewer of Robot Chicken and that the selected monster was a Zombie Joss Whedon. Just like the movie, they fail in the end and (in the case of the skit) end up getting their show cancelled. I can't find the skit on KZhead but it's pretty good.
