    • The food related terms lekker and words made from lekker and love related terms like lief / lievard and love related emojis etc and compIiments like schoon(heid) etc only reflect me & my pure protectors aka the alphas, and cannot be misused by hum’ns when referring to hum’ns (only when referring to food / weather / nature etc) and all hum’ns are the exact opposite of such terms (it’s beyond disrespectful to food when hum’ns misuse such terms) and such terms cannot be used with other meaning because their main meaning is food related, and in English also (lief comes from the love related term liefde, so it doesn’t really mean sweet, and it’s more like lovely - sweet is a food related term and it means zoet in Dutch, however, the word sweet and also the word lief and the word lovely etc only reflect me, anyway, and cannot be misused by hum’ns) and also in other languages, such terms cannot be misused, and also the femininity and love related words like girl / maiden / meid / meisje / vrouw / chick / lass / vriendin / wife / bride / girlfriend / sweetie / honey / sweetheart etc also only reflect me!

    • I am learning 10 to 15 languages at the same time, and prioritizing mostly Dutch (advanced level / over 8.000 base words) and Norwegian (intermediate level / over 3.500 words) and Welsh (beginner level / over 450 words) at the moment, and I actually know Spanish since childhood as I learned it to native speaker level (over 10.000 base words) without even trying by just watching a lot of TV series and movies in Spanish, which was technically thousands of hours of hearing Spanish and hearing most words being pronounced clearly multiple times, so they naturally became part of my permanent memory, plus I also learned about 1.000 new words in Spanish since last year when I started learning languages on my own, including many rare words that I never heard in TV series - it’s in fact way better to learn multiple languages at the same time, because if one only learns one language at a time, it can get boring after a while, so introducing a new language whenever it starts felling boring will make it feel interesting again because it’s something new!

    • If one sees a word many times over a period of time, that word will become part of one’s permanent memory, and it may take 30 to 50 or even 30 to 100 repetitions for most language learners to permanently remember a word - for me it usually takes 1 to 3 repetitions for most Dutch words (most Dutch words just stick with me, and it’s amazing how fast I can memorize most Dutch words, faster than words in any other language) and usually 1 to 6 or 1 to 10 repetitions for most words in most other languages I’m learning, but I noticed that after I reach a higher level in a language, I usually remember most new words after only seeing them once or twice, as I become very used to the rules and to how words are constructed, and especially compound words and words derived from other words that I already know, I will remember those immediately after only seeing them once, so I learned Dutch really fast (I actually only focused on Dutch for about 3-4 months since I started, because 2 of those 6-7 months I didn’t learn anything, and 1 or 2 months I focused more on Norwegian / Swedish / Welsh / French / German / Italian and also learning a few new words in some other new languages, so Dutch really is the easiest language to learn, and Norwegian is also very easy, and also when it comes to Latin languages, Spanish and Italian and Esperanto are the easiest to learn and memorize and pronounce, and French words are also easy to memorize, but are a bit harder to pronounce and to remember the exact spelling because French has many different accents, so I have to keep revising new French words more than words in most other languages I’m learning to remember the right accents for each word that has accents!

      @FrozenMermaid666@FrozenMermaid666 Жыл бұрын
    • Another great method to remember a new word faster is to combine the new word with a similar word in one’s mind - like, yesterday I learned a new word in Dutch vlecht and it rhymes with slecht (I already knew the word slecht) so I said slecht vlecht in my mind, and I could immediately remember it today, and, also wimpel en wimper (I already knew the word wimper) and vouw en mouw / rouw / touw (I already knew the last 3 words) etc, so that’s how I remember / memorize about 15 to 30 percent of the new words in Dutch, and it’s even easier when only one letter is different, however, it also works for words that rhyme but have 2 or 3 different letters!

Your videos are very entertaining, helpful and motivating. Speaking German, English + some German Frisian, I understand about 70 % (and the subtitles help with the rest). Dank je wel!❤

  • your videos are really helpful. i like how you force us by speaking dutch so we can always find new words and getting used to it. but i'm having a hard time looking at the subtitle feature on youtube, they made my eyes so dizy... i wish i can customize it somehow to feel more comfortable maybe a small feedback, we would highly appreciate it if you can make in-video subtitles like "easy dutch" channel that looks more minimalistic, simple, and dizy-free subtitles sorry in advance..

    • Thanks for your feedback and I understand your struggles. The only thing is that there are also a lot of students who like to watch the video WITHOUT any subtitles because they can practice their listenings skills more and they say that when they see the subtitles, they start reading them automatically. So therefore I chose this solution :)

  • Hello, dear Kim. A feedback: some of the subtitles here are too long, making it hard to follow with the eyes to read. I'd suggest that instead of 1 long line, you could make 2 lines per subtitle (which you already did for the most of them, of course). Veel Succes :)
