    • Have you watched the walking dead? Lots of plot armor to go around for all characters😂. Rick was impaled by a piece of bar and then blew up on a bridge and lived. Nobody complained. I find it funny and unfair that fans of the franchise criticize this series for something the original show had been doing for years.

      @rowrowfightthepower9@rowrowfightthepower9Ай бұрын
    • @rowrowfightthepower9 I think his son was 18-22 range. Would've put Beale in late 40s to early 50s. Not unheard of for a guy in his 50s to become a father. Given Beale's devotion to the military, he may not have taken up fatherhood until he got older. Plus time was played with quite a but on this series. • Its because of the expectation. People did not expect it to go like this, i though that we werent even close to wrapping up this storyline and that the finale was going to set up season 2 in some way. I thought it was more likely that they got arrested by the CRM and thats how S1 ends or just something that can build up hype for S2 , than to just outright win in one episode. I guess Andrew Lincoln wanted it done and over with quick to move on to other projects , thats just my guess. We dont even have any confirmation if there will be season 2 or its wraps ? thats my only problem with it. I guess maybe in the Daryl show there will be more if they return to the states, who knows.

Everything else around him was just a rushed performance, this storyline could have been dragged out a longer time it would be awesome. It was SO fast paced, so so much potential. The World Beyond Season 2 gave me that intrigue into the CRM, but this series just killed it lol. I'm ssooooooo conflicted

    • Also with the Rick vs Thorn fight, in reality, a physically capable male will always easily outpower a physically capable female. The scenes of her being able to out muscle Rick when pushing him backwards was unrealistic. It would be more realistic if actual forms of marital arts e.g jiu jitsu etc took place but not power verses power. The fight scene seemed far too "off" for me

  • You are not alone in thinking this about the CRM. Nearly 50 people I was with at the premiere for the finale. Said they wished the CRM and even Beale had survived. The common questions brought up by everyone were: 1.) how could just two people wipe out an entire army? Let’s be real. 2.) what’s with the impenetrable character armor? None of the protagonists suffered any consequences or faced high stakes. 3.) why wasn’t Alexandria or commonwealth hit? 4.) how could Rick survive a literal grenade exploding less than 1 foot away from him?! 5.) wouldn’t there be dissent amongst the CRC about dismantling/ overseeing the CRM? 6.) wouldn’t a community that just heard their military be attacked want to protect their people from threats? ( Rick and michonne attacking them) Ricks group would do that. Try and protect their own from a threat attacking a community of theirs 7.) was the echelon briefing rushed? 8.) Beale said there were sleeper cells in many other communities, does that mean some are in the commonwealth, Alexandria( when Dianna was alive), etc.? 9.) why did michonne pick up the document after ripping it? There was no point. 10.) Beale said humanity had 14 years left till extinction, wouldn’t spreading out all the civic republics resources strain its reservoir? Does that mean 14 years are left for the show? Time jumps and all? 11.) how did Rick and michonne survive the gas? Yes a wet mask could work in covering the mouth and nose, what about the eyes? When they got on top of the storage unit and they take off their masks, that they aren’t affected by the rising gas still in the air? 12.) how did Thorne magically survive the gas explosion and magically find a mask without being affected? I would have to say that I agree with all the questions brought up.

    • 1. It's Rick and Michonne! How many seemingly hopeless situations have they gotten themselves out of over the years? 2. Lots of impenetrable plot armor over the years amongst the main cast. Not the first time. Imagine the meltdown if both Rick and Michonne die and don't go home to Judith and RJ. 3. Up until the Eschelon briefing, CRM didn't react to outside people/communities unless they found out about their existence. Clearly, didn't know about Alexandria as Jadis was using it as leverage against Rick and Michonne. There's been speculation that Commonwealth may have some kind of partnership with the CRM (see Lance's comment about maintaining alliances). 4. Rick appears to have thrown the grenade in a manner that struck the walkers further from him. Walkers around him shielded him from the blast but were also taken out by the debris. Pretty amazing he walked away from that. Thought he was deas myself. But stil epic and will accept he survived. 5. I don't think so. Recall the newspaper front page visible in World Beyond. The Council was chomping at the bit to get oversight over the CRM. Plus the newspaper noted candidates running to be on the Council wrere running on a platform of CRM oversight. The CRM apparently operated under a state of emergency since the early days of the CR, which exempted them from oversight. Beale used the "walker herd breach at Omaha and Campus Colony as an excuse to extend the emergency. Now that the Council knows the full extent of Beale's plans and atrocities, I doubt there was little, if any, resistance to oversight of the CRM. 6. I think Rick and Michonne explaining the situation was enough to sell the Council on the threat of Beale and his front liners. Would've been nice to have a seen showing the conversation with the city council, but understand why it was left out. 7. No. Seemed straight to the point. Beale clearly laid out the objectives. 8. Sure, that's possible. Things don't happen on the show for no reason. The comment about the spies in other communities (we've already seen one with Huck in the Campus Colony on World Beyond) really opens up opportunities to tie in the CRM storyline line to other spinoffs or new projects. Beale said rhe reach was global. Who's to say there aren't spies in Dama's group in Dead City or Genet's group in Daryl Dixon. Plus the spies leave the bad guy element of the CRM out there. Even with oversight, I don't think it's possible the Council tracks down these spies, at least not right away. 9. It would very easy for someone smart to put back together the dossier. Michonne did the right thing in taking it with her. 10. I think Beale looks at the mission as conserving their own resource from future combatants and taking resources from those the CRM eliminate. If Beale's modeling is legit, then it's possible 14 years is all that's left for humanity. I guess we'll see what happens. 11. I'm accepting the tarp and water was enough to protect them from the chlorine gas. Maybe that's enough in real life. I don't know. But at minimum, it's one of those suspend belief moments. 12. They don't show where Thorne was in reference to the explosion. Assume she got herself somewhere safe. For the gas mask, I'm guessing these were reaidly available since the mission involved the use of the gas.

I did find Beale’s story on the second civil war between the Pennsylvania NG and Federal forces to be really interesting. Literally the bog tape. I also noticed that Chinook at the end had one circle. Can we assume that Portland broke off from the CR alliance? Omaha is dead; Portland wants out after they found about the failed echelon plans, hence the solo circle. Yes I know it’s not hard to piece together, but its a little detail.

  • The add-in about agents influencing politics around the nation isn’t supposed to be a continuum to other stories. It’s in reference to what Lance was up to in season 11 of TWD. He threatened and mentioned he had connection with bigger and stronger powers outside the commonwealth before Daryl and Carol killed him for his insanity. Lance was running against Milton for Governor and he was definitely trying to influence the politics in a very different direction while already running his own underground operations with the commonwealth soldiers: The train. Overtaking other communities into outposts and taking their resources - like Beale said. Lance and Jadis were similar as they were “agents” checking on these communities and infiltrating if they felt it was worthwhile. We’ve already seen this threat in the main show.

But I'm glad Rick and Michonne survived and I think the reunion with the kids was satisfying, loved the music too. Terry O'Quinn wasn't in the show as much as i wanted and TO BE HONEST I didn't think his acting was all that convincing, especially during the disappointing echelon briefing and Rick fight. Rick & Michonne surviving all that stuff at the summit reminded me of the TWD episode where they drove the 2 cars with the wires attached through the giant horde. • Why are people disappointed with Beale? He didn’t have a huge role but he was a vile character who destroyed settlements. He was huge in the backstory of the years of CRM. He got the end he deserved with Rick. As far as the timeline goes.. personally I think between the explosion, and then going home. A couple years have passed. At least a year. Rick and Michonne must’ve gone back to help bring the news and lead the changes in the CRM. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re higher ups in the CR because of it. They had the abilities to keep an eye on Alexandria etc to ensure their safety, as well as the man power to do so. So I think they were keeping them safe. I hope there’s a season two or more to this, there’s so much back story and so much story left to tell. But they also left it at a place that if they don’t do anything else, it’s a good ending. I was pretty happy and threw my hands up when the scene with the walkie showed up.. but I thought surely some others from the community will be there. I think they left that out on purpose. If there’s a season 2 that’s gotta be the first episode.

    • I did say in the video if I stand back - I understand. If I did not have this community to think about I might be a harder critic on it. But I am trying to stay positive - lots of negativity these days - here and everywhere. But I can agree about many of the complaints I read.

    • Daryl is the only one worth watching imo

    • @@cliffordjordan9577 There with you Daryl & Carol are my favs. I really thought Ones Who Live was going be right up with him but it isn't. Unfortuntely its down with Dead City. I liked these two but I didn't love them.
