We love Oreos at our house. I think Oreo pops is going to be a big hit with my family.
You can also try them with the Golden Oreo’s! 😉
Once they’re covered, and have them in the parchment paper how long do they take to dry?? Or do I have to put them in the refrigerator before I decorate them?
Hi, Johanna! They take roughly about 15 minutes to dry at room temperature. If it’s hot in your kitchen, like if someone is cooking, they will take longer. The first ones you dip will dry quicker than the others, so normally I prepare the chocolate for the drizzle once I see the first ones dry. Just to get a head start, and the others will dry as you go. You can always make an extra one if you’re unsure, so you can use it as a tester. I don’t put them in the fridge. Hope this helps!
Can you use anything other than candy color? Can you use food color, or the gel type food coloring? I am using the almond bark like you.
Hi, Laurie! I tried both when I was trying to figure out how to color chocolate. They didn’t work for me the way I was hoping. I had read somewhere to use oil based coloring, and that’s when I found candy color. It’s amazing! Some colors that require a lot of it, do alter the taste of the almond bark a bit. But the consistency is great. The gel one did change the consistency (making it hard to work with), and once I left the treats for a few hours, the color on them changed slightly. That’s why I recommend using candy color, but nothing wrong with experimenting if you already have something else available.
No I don’t like I love itttttttttttttt 😃😃😃
Could I make these 3 days before an event ?
Yes, you can. You can individually wrap them, or keep them covered and in a cool, dry place. I usually lay them on a cookie sheet, and cover them with a sheet of wax paper after they’ve dried.
What type of candy color are you using is it oil base?
Chesmaster Candy color. It is oil based.
How much you sell these for?
$1.50 each. However, I normally offer everything with a minimum order of a dozen not by piece. Unless it’s a variety party pack with different treats, I offer several quantities.
Hi
Hi 🙃
The music is annoying and makes it difficult to hear. The tips were good. Thank you.
