I remember when I sow Ong Bak for the first time I was in shock . Tony Jaa is a legend.
I was learning Muay Thai then Ong Bak came out. Was so awesome
Same. I was cheering and clapping in the theatre with everybody else!
I remember my mentor was telling me that they wrap there hands with rope an as soon as I saw this I was like its muay thai, an just amazed with tony's skiill.
Yoo! For real! I remember watching this shit and it instantly inpired me for martial arts!
Onh bak is so iconic all of em
Who wants Iko Uwais (The Raid) on the show?
That would be Rad! 👍
Viduyt will do
he have comedy martial art basis called silat
Abso-freakin'-lutely!!!!
Yes,please
How humble Scott is! Whenever he asks a question that he may have a specialty in, he doesn't interrupt or mention himself. He lets his guest speak about them. Legend hosting legends.
I notice too bro , I appreciate
Real recognize real. Both these guys are legit so Scott knows he's interviewing one of the greats and he treats it as such. I agree it's nice to see.
Wisdom and greatness
Absolutely right 👍
Yep he is a gentleman
Tony Jaa is not just a great martial artist, he is a heck of a creative artistic individual as well. The stunts that he comes up with are so original and one of a kind. Great respect to this legend.
The fact that Tony Jaa is also impressed by his own stunts is just amazing.
Hahaha, true
I mean, I would be impress if I can do that too lmao
He is being excited like a little kid who had just learned some tricks & perform it. We don’t see a child like innocence in most grown up men. Glad to see it in a action star
Not even a language barrier can stop these two martial arts idols having enthusiastic discussion. Love these guys!
Exactly!!!!
You see the excitement in their eyes when discussing things. True passion for the art!
Truly two master martial artists having a good time
Like a heart to heart. Language is not problem. They respect each other. Experience made them a great information 👍
Tony jaa is extremely UNDERRATED, ong bak is amazing and omg the protector is genius action
No, in my opinion Jaa isn't underrated! His most greatest movies are his first 3 movies: "Ong Bak Part I & II", "The protector" aka "Tom Yum Goom"! The next movies were more dissapointed even "Ong Bak III". Or better said, The movies between "Ong Bak 3" and "SPL" were not the Tony Jaa, who I saw in his first 3 movies- like I've already said! The first movie, which brings his success back, was "SPL- Time for concequences". After this movie ,he found back "The Tony Jaa style", which has made him famous. Movies like "Triple threat", "Master Z- The Ip Man legacy", "Paradox" and even a Hollywood production "Triple X - The return of Xander Cage"! But lastly I'm agreed- Tony Jaa is an amazing martial artist & actor!!!
I would say nowadays the entire action / martial arts genre is underrated. All these great talents rarely make it to the big screen unless it's in a small side role on a blockbuster movie. Which is a shame. I remember the documentary "In search for the last action hero" covers this a little bit when in the 90's, CGI started to conquer the big screen when people started to expect rollercoaster rides.
I don’t agree…saying that is like saying The Rolling Stones are extremely underrated….
@@TamNguyen-vw4qg の、、ありがとうございますのようこそお寺さん
@@-MrFozzy- What??? That's not really your serious opinion?!- If you make a comparison like THIS, then it would looks like : The Beatles are the G.O.A.T band and the G.O.A.T OF MARTIAL ART is Bruce Lee! After the Beatles are the Rolling Stones cause also of their long life Band history! That means after Bruce Lee comes Jackie Chan as long life Martial artist! The Doors would B Jet Li! Don't forget Sammo Hung ,Yuen Biao! These are the GREATEST of the so called "Golden Era" from the HongKong film industry from those days! The late 70s until the 90s! Even Donnie Yen became his success from the Ip Man movie! I would say Donnie was unknown in the western countries before 2010 as Ip Man 2 was made - even in HongKong! And Tony Jaa, Wu Jing or Max Zhang Jin are the stars of "NOWADAYS"! You can't compare Tony Jaa with The Rolling Stones. The living Stones members are legends like - Sammo Hung! Jaa is never a living legend! Probably he will becomes ONCE in the future. MAYBE!!!
Ong Bak was a super rare movie that was so impressive that I actively screened it for as many people as I could. If you came to my house, it was Ong Bak time.

I got a good laugh when he said that, he is so incredible with his stunts.

See how Scott admires Tony for his stunts.. he him self is an extraordinary action star..but see how he compliments on Tony jaa..true gentlemen.
Because he knows what it takes to do a stunt like that
He should've been batman.
I used to watch ong bak1,tom yum goong in DVD player , atleast every day for a year maybe seen atleast both movie more than 90 -100 times, still I didn't get at begining that both movies are perfomed by the same actor so much of diffrence in the fighting style ,if that movies were released today every one would have joined muay thai or other fighting courses such an impact that movies were created in world.
@@blossumgames9443 enough batman movies already sheesh

Good to see Tony so happy, healthy and upbeat. Heard he had a real tough time mentally during Ong Bak 2
Me too. He seems like such a genuine guy.
Scott Adkins… can’t thank you enough for these interviews!
Tony Jaa's english is so good. I remember reading an article where he was learning to speak english during the filming of the Fast and Furious. Good to see him come this far.

Its really nice to see how he speak .. N express to understand other

Scott eventually started speaking English like Tony Jaa. Good he understood the need.
Simpathy reaction, I do this all the Time when attending guest's or tourists, lowering the pace of your words that way people who's English is Not their first language can feel understood both as a client and person. But also it makes life easier by doing so lol.
amen
I do the same when I come to Thailand, it is much easier to communicate that way if a person you are talking to don’t use much English vocabulary.
😂🤣
Scott adkins, quite literally reliving my childhood one interview at a time. Thankyou sir..
When a legend knows a legend... Scott Adkins is such a humble guy 🙏

Love it. The athleticism of Tony Jaa blew me away when Ong Bak and the Protector came out. I remember I was in late high school and early college respectively and it gave me the love of foreign language martial arts films I still have to this day. Living Legend.
Same, when I first saw Jaa in ong bak , he changed my view on action movies. His movements and flair it blew me away

Yes they're both incredible fighters with their own styles!
I like both Scott Adkins and Tony Jaa, but I felt the same way when I first saw Tony Jaa. He was out of this world.
Tony Jaa is so warm and friendly - no wonder everyone I knew in high school visits there every year🙃
This man also is in the list of most humble, he likes to give his stuntmen the business but he's still a very humble guy. This man changed the game out of sheer will and passion.
"Where's my elephant?" - Tony Jaa. One of my favourite movie lines ever.🙏Kappunkap.

I luv the way scott adkins face lights up with glee each time he interviews any1. U can tell he is so humble n has the utmost respect for all his colleagues.
I love how much of this is two adults, representing their work at the highest level, making Kung Fu shouty noises like ten year olds because they're both still excited by it. Gold.
Tony "one take, one glass" Jaa
Scott, i just love how guilty you feel everytime you ask people how much time they use on stretching :D
TJ represents Thailand in such a great and positive manner. I love his inspirations from the great Bruce Lee. This guy is truly a legend, but so modest about his incredible talent in MA!
Scott Adkins , he is so gentle and humble . he should get most most recognition than this .
For icons, these two are the most humble people I've ever seen.
Ong Bak is one of the most unintentionally funny movies of all time - and the fight scenes were superb.
The Thais are brilliant at slapstick comedy & humour. I don't think it was unintentional :)
Great..I think Tony Jaa has a great development in English communication, usually action movies don't need too many lines. Use body language to communicate easily to the audience. But English has become a key tool in his international career. I sincerely wish him success in his acting career. and bring reputation to Thailand.
You're the best ❤️

Two of my favourite current day martial arts screen stars. Tony Jaa is the real deal; knowing what we see on screen is real and him is awe inspiring. Such a talent.
Liking the video before it even starts.

I love that Donnie is making so much movies. Because his getting Older and he is now famous so everybody wants a piece of the cake, producers give money and push Donnie. Donnie also was always a hard worker so he should now use is time to make movies.
I like that Donnie has mellowed a bit with age

I'd like to see him as the villain for the next mission impossible I call it. Mission Impossible Pandemic. He was the voice behind explaining The Syndicate using a voice changer.

"One take, one glass!" Tony Jaa is incredible and this was a great interview.

Important lessons I learned from that interview: - «no wires» - «one take, one glass» - «timing is everything» * edit, also «follow your dream»
Ong-Bak was my very first Tony Jaa movie. I watched it early in the 2000s. Man, I was impressed by him, the stunts and the way that movie was filmed.
The most awaited video of my entire life.
Tony Jaa and Scott Adkins in one video? Two best martial art actors/stuntmen ever lived. Movie with you two would be epic.
Childhood legend Tony Jaa with Ong Bak ❤
he is trying so hard with the language barrier, i appriciate your willingness to try your best to interpret him to clarify things, alot of interviews wouldnt always do that
You can tell Scott's been around a lot of non native speakers to understand the gist of what he's getting at. I just think it's cool he's picked English up when he couldn't speak it at all when he made his first few films.
The scene of Jackie bumping into Tony Jaa at the airport made me choke up a bit. Tony Jaa's movies are all amazing, and they run together for me because i usually watch them all back to back
It’s really nice to see two legends sitting and complimenting their skills. They both talented amd humble.
I'm very big fan of Adkins sir😍😍😍 i have seen all his movies..especially i loved undisputed series A lot of love from india ❤❤❤.I hope you will read my comment..
No wire, realism, all requiring little to no editing. You can see the Jackie Chan influence clearly. Very humble in comparison to what he’s really capable of.
Watching Tony jaa for the first time in Ong bak was captivating... He's like a ghost of stunts and action
This two men.. I never neverrrrr gets bored watching their fighting styles.. I can watch the same kick 20 times a day, everyday.
As a practiced martial artist I’m loving what Scott is doing with his channel. Thanks man
Can’t thank you enough Scott for bringing my favorite Martial Arts Action star Tony Jaa on here to talk about these legendary films and his background !! We love you Tony Jaa keep making awesome movies from America !
With limited resources and not right in the head, Tony Jaa starred in 2 of the best films in the history of martial arts. Unfortunately they are less valued than they deserve. Scott, you are really a very generous guy. Congratulations for the initiative! You are one of the great martial arts fighters!
So all this action martial stars of our generation there role mode are Bruce Lee, jetli and Jackie Chan. Wow. Shout out to these three legends. They indeed were lethal legends and will forever be remembered in martial fights.
What a great interview. To see Scott so thrilled to speak to Tony, is lovely to see. Even stars have heroes. Tony is fascinating.
Scott Adkins is "DA MAN "!!!
When I saw Ong Bak for the first time, I was absolutely stunned. I didn't believe what I saw. I had never seen anything like that before. I was sixteen and I thought I was one of the few people in the world that saw that film and that knew about real muay thai. I immediately thought that that's the best martial art in the world. It became my little secret that I was so proud of. The fights were so raw and powerful, so creative and ingenious, so new and unique that I thought I discovered something completely new amazing. It's funny now, but that's how I saw it back then.
Crazy you didn’t talk about the scene in ONK-BAK 2 where Tony switches between Muay Thai and Tiger Claw Kung Fu against to opponents... that was beyond impressive
Next Iko Uwais
I remember when Tony Jaa burst on the scene. Incredible then and incredible now. Thanks for sharing!
The first ong bak was epic
Tom Yum Goong aka The Protector plays out just like a live action beat em up, that's why it's my favorite Tony Jaa film.
The protector brought me back into martial arts movies, a absolute MASTERPIECE, the one shot action scene was incredible
I’ve only seen Ong Bak which I adored… I’ll make this my next watch!

I love how Scott Adkins obviously LOVES action movies, it makes the interview better, especially knowing what he can do
Tony has soooo much sympathy! I can imagine he watches his own movies, he got so much love for the action movie genre.
lmfao Scott XD This so hilarious in a weird way, Scott is doing exactly what I would want to be talking to Tony about, "Now hell the hell did you do that" and continues to show clips of Tony Jaa to Tony Jaa for an hour, have you seen this Tony? "What the hell mate now how did you do that" Scott is as much of a fanboy as i was when i first saw these movies when they came out lol
hopeful one day Scott Adkins and Tony Jaa talk about martial arts movies Skills and techniques about fighting scenes then It happened , I love and am proud of you both >Form thailand

Thank you Scott Adkins for these amazing interviews. These bring so much positivity and inside knowledge to the world. Tony Jaa is a truly incredible martial artist as you are. 2 hours of stretching a day? Man I’m slacking with my 10 mins...
Scott really appreciated and respect Tonny Jaa's skills when he said he doesn't want to see Tony Jaa on wire and preferred proper Tonny Jaa's kicks... several movies on holywood full of wires when character doesn't have enough skills to do some flippy kicks...

You can truly tell how much Scott loves martial arts films. It’s that love that makes these interviews the best. Great job Scott.
I’m glad Scott’s reaction to his stunts was the same as mine, how did he do that?!
I always thought Tony Jaa to be so serious and never really seen him outside of filming. This is so mind blowing for me 😂😱
I knew he will have a funny character side to him when I read somewhere in the internet that he idolize Jackie Chan, there's even a Jackie Chan impersonator in The Protector Movie.
