USAF F-35s V RAF F-35s in the Mach Loop Wales Low Flying Typhoons A400m Hawk and Texan

Four RAF F-35B spent the Day at RAF Valley showing the new pilots what they could be flying one day, and on they return they flew the Mach Loop which was awesom!
During the following week we had four USAF F-35A a A400 atlas and a pair of Typhoons a Hawk and a Texan all filmed on a Sony AX53 and the photos were taken on a Nikon Z8
It was perfect weather for filming Fast Jets Low level with very little wind and clear air!

  • Closest to a thrill ride I got was, while transiting the Straits of Gibraltar, I launched off the Eisenhower Aircraft Carrier deck as a passenger onboard a C2 aircraft. That was still scary - having to wear the cranial helmet, criss cross seatbelts sitting facing the back of the plane, fearing the worse could happen - meaning, the plane could flip over and land in the water and we'd all have to exit through the hatch underwater. I got a minor injury from that launch. My shin flew up and hit the back of the metal seat during the launch. I was supposed to keep my feet strongly pressed down, but had an itch and tried to scratch it.

    • Yes it is! but one of the 35s had to back to RAF Valley after a bird strike apparently

  • Am sure this has been asked before but what is the ratio of planes to quiet during these days. It looks amazing but am sure we are missing a lot of standing around waiting

    • Yes standing around doesn't make good viewing video 🤣 you might get 5 passes in a day then you might get 20 in an hour 😉 but there again you might not see anything for two days

    • There are still 30-40 F15E's based at Lakenheath, so they will be coming through the Mach Loop for a good while yet. 👍

  • I think the F15s are the ones that bring the noise and aggressiveness around there now, sometimes the Typhoons... not seen the F35s yet but they just look too small - like a hawk with a futuristic body kit 🤭 Amazing footage as always.
