@@TheFloozie137 yeah I forgot to add toothbrush to my original comment lol. I know when I’m having a bad brain day when everything seems to be going wrong and I’m feeling depressed. I’m most likely going to feel that way the next day so I can prepare for it. Hopefully this makes more sense now.
As an artist the answer is no, it's not random, it's totally normal to have random paint tubes on the floor behind the easel, or basically just around the house 😅

I found a colored pencil in my bed last night. My office is on the other side of the apartment.
Can confirm. I paint a lot. I have found paint tubes in every room of my apartment- I only paint in the living room and my “craft station” on the far side of my bedroom

I love the clutter packs but it just screams how much they need to update how slotting works.
The slotting kills me every time.
honestly though, i feel like they should make slotting and grid snapping for furniture both toggleable in the build menu, my fingie hurts from holding down alt all the time, maybe when its toggled off you can hold alt to temporarily turn either on.
Seeing you calm and not hating every part of your build in these videos is so nice compared to watching on stream lately. I hope you are able to find some balance with building on stream because you deserve to be happy and not have to deal with as much anxiety. Sending love

When I was building my own room I noticed for real for the first time how much I was missing little details like power sockets, light switches, or for bathroom exactly toothpaste, messy towels etc. I actually think the idea of this pack is great and realistic!
The only thing is Sims really is milking every dollar out of people. They give you a *life simulator* then tell you if you want to have things that happen in life to pay extra money. Even with the base game being free to get all the DLC is over $1000.. while I like the kit, it just really feels like something that should be part of the game anyway.
@@Eventide215 I absolutely get your point and I know one has to spend a looooot of money for all the packs and base game should be better! But whether we like it or not, at the end of the day it also is just a business 🤷🏻♀️ Nobody has to buy extra packs, but of course they want to earn money so they will continue making packs
@@SpiceQwin The biggest problem really is that last line you added. "Nobody has to buy extra packs". While you are correct in that you don't *need* to buy them, every single expansion pack includes things that just exist in life. Like you have to pay an extra $40 to have *seasons* in your game. It doesn't do much more than that. The only part I'll say really is justified by saying you don't *need* them are the game packs, stuff packs, and kits. Those are things that add in more optional life things like Parenthood, My Wedding Stories, etc.. things that just add in extra thematic experiences. Honestly I think the best thing for them to do with Sims 5 is a subscription model. Where as long as you're subscribed you have access to everything. Then if you find yourself not wanting to play you can just cancel the subscription and return at any point. They'd still get the same money really and it's a far more accepted model. They somewhat started that with EA play but you don't get much.
@@Eventide215 I am somewhere in the middle regarding the sub model - if it is 15/20$ a month, it could add up to being more expensive at the end 😬 I hope the pricing will be reasonable
@@SpiceQwin omg yes I HATE subscriptions based models SO MUCH ! I can never, at any point, tell what I’ll do next or what I’ll feel like so I’d probably end up not playing TS5 at all lol (anyways all I truly want is for TS2 to be remastered so I can get it on Origin and it runs fine on my PC but that’s beside the point). I also really doubt TS5 will end up being a subscription based model anyways because then, every would either be stuck with ALL the content (and you can’t exactly run the full Sims 4 on most computer), or they’d have to drastically reduce the content and features and, since TS4 is heavily criticised already for having really little and bad gameplay, I don’t see how it would pay off for them in the end. Just speculations, obviously, but still.
All EA needs to do to make a pack (or a kit) that everyone will buy is some excellent rugs and curtains. Collab with some interior decorators and designers and simmers would be so happy. We’ve had the same basegame items for almost 9 years! Maybe give a few free through sdx drops to entice people
I'd die for a pack of nothing but rugs that are actually usable in houses! Bonus points if they size up and down better than the base game ones do.

For real- a clutter stuff pack could’ve been so cool! Kitchen clutter, bathroom clutter, bedroom clutter, office clutter, etc. And then some of the “bigger” items could be functional- like a hair dryer, toaster, etc. That would’ve been so much better

@@Hi.imdory more people will generally buy cheaper items even if the item is smaller, so by making a myriad of clutter kits for every room they're able to trick people into paying more. Besides, most people build larger houses with lots of rooms, so splitting up a pack into kits for every room makes you pay more than $20.
Not a super big deal, but I appreciate how most of your videos have non-autogenerated subtitles. As someone who can't hear very well, it's very nice.

i just love the clutter kits so much, i love decorating houses and i always tend to clutter them as much as i can so it looks like someone lives there, specially kitchens and bathrooms
i watched simlicy content like 3 years ago and ever since then no house of mine has ever gone uncluttered, she truly awokened something inside me

Changes shutters - “I will NOT build a blue suburban” 2 seconds later, makes the downstairs bathroom walls and floor blue. 😂 Sorry! I agree with you that the base game has more good blue swatches than good swatches of other colors and I don’t mind that many of your houses have a lot of blue. I liked the blue shutters and think a yellow house with blue shutters is very different from a house with blue siding, just the timing of that was just REALLY really funny to me.
i've lived in multiple 4bed 1bath houses. if you can get 2 bathrooms in there, you're doing pretty well imo lol
Though admittedly, it's much rougher in the sims with less bathrooms than it is irl. I couldn't pinpoint why exactly, but we just never really struggle with it that much lol

I really wish they had mixed this bathroom kit with another clutter kit- like a kitchen or closet one!
Would be much more worth it to me if they’d put all the clutter into one kit. Clutter items are cute but non-functional, and not worth 5 dollars
i'm extremely happy about the new wall decal with the ocean themed swatches, literally the day before this kit dropped i was designing an ocean themed kid's bedroom and getting the kit makes the room so much better! i made custom kids bedroom doors with the decals as well as putting the little coral and kelp swatches near the bed
I never saw decals in bathrom ever in my life. Maybe its not a thing in my country.

Toilets have actually always been one of my favorites rooms to decorate. It's kinda therapeutic because you don't have to put a lot of thougt, just the basics and a lot of clutter sbdjxisb So I'm very happy about this kit :)
I’d actually like if some of these kit stuff was functional. It’s ridiculous how we keep asking for the bare minimum and they just keep reminding us how little they care.

Genuine artist's opinion here on the having tubes of paint on the floor being random: No. No it is not. I had tubes of paints everywhere when I was studying art. Not random at all for an artist 😂
I keep getting wrapped up in my need to have all the packs but at the same time I remember the sims is meant to be a life simulator and not just an art asset drop. These kits are an absolute waste of money, at least let us use the hairdryer or brush the sims teeth with the electric toothbrush etc - but no, we just stare at awful meshes and pay $7 for it 🙃
imagine simsie as a parent and instead of going "clean your room!" she's like: "omg those crayons on the floor are sooo cute!!"

Everytime I watch you it's like the same thing with the door, the shape of the house, and every little small thing you notice. It's been going on for years. Not that I'm complaining. You inspired me in building after all. Hopefully when I finally save up and have my own PC I can catch up in making videos like you. This is perfect! I don’t have the patience to place all the clutter, so you did it for me!
The best part of clutter is adding it slowly over time honestly. When you start out it's typically like your family just bought to place. So I like to start out with basic furniture then add to it over time. That's where, for me, clutter really shines. When you start adding in like a hamper and dirty clothes after a while, adding in more pictures and accomplishments, etc. For bathrooms it's fun when you start it looking clean but over time it gets a bit messy. My point is just do what you have the patience for then go back later to add more. Clutter doesn't just instantly appear in a house it's always built up over time.
Every time I watch you have to use the same few plants to landscape I wish for an outdoor plant kit. Little flowers, bushes and grasses. Maybe a few gardening items. I would definitely buy that.

I'm doing 100 baby challenge right now, and if there was 1 thing that would REALLY make toddler bathrooms better AND more realistic, an undersink trash can. I know I can basically get it with move objects, but it always wants to reset after I close my game. It would probably be a sink with a cabinet that hides the trash but functionaly the same thing.

I'm really big into using clutter in my builds. That being said, I'm very used to using what's in the other packs already for my clutter needs. I'm not really liking the limited color swatches with this kit, with some of them only having two options. I really like for the clutter I use to be a colorful accent, so this kit doesn't really have the draw for me that I thought it would. Love the previous clutter kit they released, but I don't think I'll be getting this one unless I get VERY bored with the packs I'm used to using. For me, the Simtimates kit has more gameplay value.
1 tip for the toothpaste as paint tubes: put a little table on the side of the easel with the tubes on top to make it more realistic.

Suggesting a challenge: simsie builds a whole house without one single tiny speck of blue on the whole lot. No blue flowers, no blue walls, and even if an item is mostly another color with the littlest bit of blue? Can’t use it. And this includes turquoise and teal. NO BLUE.

as someone whos currently living in a house of 5 with one bathroom i envy this and other houses with more 😭
I like this pack but I’ve noticed many of the things don’t slot on the counter sink combos that are in the game. Other items in base game like the soap bottle or cup with toothbrushes will, but these items do not so I have had to manually do it. And that’s fine but ya know But I love the items especially these wall decals that came in it. I made a children’s room with a sea theme in it and I was so happy with the decals.

Zee heeppopotamoose, he is not born saying, "Cool beans. I am a heeppo." No way, Joesay. So he try to paint zee stripe on him to be like zee zebra, but he fool no one. Then he try to put zee spot on zee skin to be like the leopard, but everyboody know he is a heeppo. So, at certain point, he look himself in zee mirror and he just say, "Hey. I am a heeppopotamoose and zere is nothing I can do about it." As soon as he accepts zis, he live life happy. Happy as a heeppo. You understand zis

I have always enjoyed decorating Sims bathrooms. It's a room where I give my permission to go outside my comfort area, and use colors and styles I wouldn't want to see in an entire house. The bathrooms are so small, that if it's a little over the top, or different from the rest of the house, it's fine. I try out all kinds of wallpapers and floorings that I'm not comfortable using on a larger scale. It's really fun! They often end up being some of my favorite rooms. 🙂

I downloaded steam link on my iPad and I was able to connect the sims to it from my computer, so I was able to play sims from my iPad and it was really scary with all the new controls and I think it would make a funny video

I would have preferred a clutter Stuff pack that had clutter for all over the house, and if the items (generally speaking) could potentially be used for different kinds of rooms and styles. Like how the hairdryer (as an example) could be bathroom or bedroom, and the toothpaste looking like paint tubes with some of the swatches (but maybe make that more intentional).
it genuinely infuriates me that THIS AND THE EVERDAY CLUTTER JUST COULD HAVE BEEN A STUFF PACK.
The kit pack model make sense for clutter items tbh, since they don't really need any gameplay element which you would expect in a stuff pack. Especially with the last few stuff packs being so good (paranormal could have been a game pack IMO, it had SO much) which sets high expectations for subsequent packs. What they need is some kind of bundle pricing on kits, or at least to put them on sale when everything else is.

I've just had and idea that I don't know if it was done before, but what if you built a house where you should add at least one item for the sim to work on every single skill available in the game? More on that, you would be able to build a base game only, and one using all the packs. i think it would be pretty funny having to include outrageous items like rockets, microscopes, etc, and still trying to make a somewhat normal looking house!
It would be cool to use the kit stuff in different styles of bathrooms. F.e. a cottage inspired bathroom, industrial, luxe etc!
I seem to notice that you build on the Crick Cabana lot in Willow Creek a lot, did you ever think of trying the Rindle Rose lot? The best lighting is in the afternoon. The house is looking like a small sorority house that they have where I live, so a 4 bedroom/2 bath house sounds alright. It could be for Student housing in the University world. Oh, when I saw those wall stickers, I was thinking of a pool or a background for an aquarium.
This makes me want a truly cluttered house - both bathroom clutter and home clutter kits
The one time I did that monkey bars at the edge of the lot trick, it worked just fine to use them, BUT since I have parenthood, the kid lost responsibility points for “being out after curfew” because she took like 2 steps off the lot lmao
