  • I noticed you said your not sure what to put in horse stalls, well at the barn that I rode at had rubber mats or a dirt/sand mixture for the floor depending on the stall. Also outdoor areas for shows and practicing (for example jumps) have a gravel or a brown material like dirt, (I’m not sure the name). Love your videos! ❤

    @OreoBarracuda@OreoBarracuda9 ай бұрын
    • Among all the places I rode at they had one of the following: dirt, sand, rubber mats, concrete or the extension of whatever was in the passage. And on top of that they put either shavings or straw. In the riding area, it was usually sand, sometimes just dirt, and one fancy place had like a mixture of shaving and sand.

      @Aquariuspeg@Aquariuspeg9 ай бұрын
    • Yeah for smaller homestead-ish farms the ground is usually dirt with some combination of plywood/regular wood and hors mats that have slowly been absorbed into the dirt over a few decades… and then hay and wood chips or pellets combined on the bottom of the animal stalls.

But normally (at least, from where I’ve been), the barns main hallway would have concrete flooring, as when a rider is grooming their pony, the horse hairs, hoof dirt, and horse poop may land on the floor, so this way, the floor would be nice and easy to clean, and you would have to worry about wrecking your nice hardwood!

  • *Path Paining Tip* For the most realistic looking paths that your sims will use build with a sim so you can toggle between live and build. When you go to start your paths send sim from their spawn point in front of lot to house, switching over to build to drop paint down where they walked. Start with quick solid round drops, one per foot drop then flesh it out after they reach the destination. Likewise from inside house I send them out each exit to each spot on lot where they will be walking to repeating the process. It’s time consuming but then you have paths they actually walk on regularly.
