  • Oh my gosh!!! Without this video, I would have been in tears and would have given up! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I love that you jump in and film and allow your viewers to see “everything!” There is so much learning here. We need to see a realistic process, not a practiced, edited, and perfect demo…. For example, I watched a “how to” on caulking around a tub, and I was just sure it was going to be a piece of cake, after all the presenter made it look that way, WELL…. NO! BIG MESS! 😂. Thank you for being authentic. 💚

  • Great video. So many are afraid to take their appliances apart for cleaning or repairs. One trick I learned replacing washing machine parts, is that if you are worried about replacing your parts in the correct sequence take photos at each stage.

  • Update! I took it apart last night, cleaned it out, and put it back together. It is very finicky to put back together if you want to put the shields back on but thanks to your video I was able to do it. It is so buttery smooth and quiet, so much better than my Sculpey clay machine! Thank you again!!!

  • This was so useful. I recently bought a second hand Atlas pasta machine and it leaves some streaks, so I've been thinking I need to clean it. This video came out at just the right time. I'm going to leave off the shields too, good idea. Some good tips again in your video, cheers! 🤗😊

  • It should work without those 2 shield things underneath that collect all the clay under the rollers that eventually gets all clogged and make it necessary to take the machine apart & clean the buildup of clay from the underbelly of the rollers, or do they need to be reinstalled on the rollers so it works properly cause I honestly feel like taking them out so I can rid the rollers of ever needing a cleaning like that again down the road in the future lol thanks for posting this video it was very helpful with what I needed to know and will update this post if there's any difference to the machine without the shields installed and whether or not it's worth removing in the first place ☺

  • Wow Katie you truly are amazing not many people would do a video showing how to clean the machine as you have done here. Can I make a suggestion for next time you clean it, if you have another white container pop the dial in it, I mean whilst it's attached and balance it end up on top, it might help to undo the screws etc

  • Many Clayers aren't putting the guards on. They are not necessary and it is easier to clean without them. Great job, I am currently researching as I am getting a new machine, so thanks.

  • Thank you so very very much for this video Katie. You helped me decide to even buy one of these machines today. I was super worried about breaking the machine if I ever tried to clean it. I bought a used one that was clearly used for pasta even though it was advertised to me as new. So crossing my fingers I can get it nice and pristine 🤞🏼 If I do then it was a great deal.

  • Okay FYI everybody you do not have to use a torque wrench to use the torque bit, they will fit in any screwdriver that allows you to change bits (all in one) . IE from a flathead (-) to a Phillips (*). I personally have a all in one screwdriver that works like a torque wrench but much easier to use and fits in tighter spaces cuz it doesn't have a long handle like the one she's useing. But if you need the extra leverage then you can use the torque wrench.

  • Hi, do you have any idea why the crank might be affecting the width knob? As I rotate the crank, the knob is also rotating. It seems like this might be due the calibration of the gears being off, but am not sure what the right fix is. Thanks for the video and in advance for any insight.

  • Awesome video! One question: the blades, are they plastic? Won’t the clay “melt” them? I have a cheap pasta machine with plastic blades and the they have already been damaged in just a few months :/

    @user-yx2cn7dn6c@user-yx2cn7dn6c3 жыл бұрын
    • Many people use the atlas certain types of plastic react to pc some don't I've never seen it on mine in 2 yrs I've had it. They r metal w like a plastic sheath

    • @@katiegordon610 I also had the Atlas 150. The two eight inch X 1/4" bolts with tube sleeves, try fitting heat shrink to the both the bolts on the inside of the sleeves or maybe a rubber band wrapped around. As long as you can get the sleeve tubes to slip back into position ready to take the nuts. Something simply to keep the sleeve in place when fitted back in position. It saves having to fish for the bolt, come time to you need to replace the nuts. I hope you can understand. It is a great saver in time and frustration. Heat shrink is available in various lengths, diameter and colors. As the name implies, once in place, hear with a heat gun or hairdryer. My husband was the problem and had the solution for me.
