    • I saw a video of a young black man, a student, working picking up trash around his dormitory. Imagine this: a young man with one of those clasping thingies for picking up trash and a big bucket to put the trash in. The cop radio'd his colleagues calling the claspy thing a "blunt object" and repeatedly referred to it as a weapon. The cop also kept asking the guy for proof that he was there legally. The guy gave him his ID and everything but it still wasn't enough. I mean sure, if someone is going to trespass they'll first get gear to pick up trash and then spend a while actually picking up trash before trespassing. That cop escalated that situation without reason and then acted like the guy was dangerous because he was rightfully angry about getting hassled. Then a white guy came by and confirmed the black guy was a student and lived there. Guess if the cop asked him for any proof that he was where he was supposed to be...

They deliberately salted the water on this poor man by suggesting he was armed knowing full well it would provoke a dangerous reaction from cops. • This is sad. I’m so glad I live in Canada. We don’t call the cops when people of color move in we say welcome to the neighborhood and introduce ourselves. America needs to take a memo. I’m not saying racism doesn’t happen here EVER, I’m just saying it happens significantly less than America. I’m often shocked by all the stories I hear happening in America as I grew up in a multicultural community. I make friends with and have dated people of all different skin colors because skin color doesn’t matter to me. All that matters is who a person is inside. Not what skin color they are. Currently, I’m dating someone who is not white like I am (a white woman) and I love him for who he is. I wish other people would grow up and realize how stupid racism makes them look.

He should have asked the officers on camera to punish the false caller. They will either carry it out or give a bullshit excuse as to why they can't. If they don't then at least he exposes the bias. White Supremacy does not like being exposed, and the world is watching. In recent times America has been called out for being hypocritical. They try to tell other countries how to treat their citizens but refuse to treat black citizens like actual citizens with rights.

A burglar broke into a students apartment and found it literally empty the guy who lived there only had a pile of blankets to sleep on and his coursework books that's it. He came home to find the burglar standing there shocked who asked "yo you actually live like this?" the burglar then phoned some friends and by the end of the night they had gotten a TV, bed, microwave etc for the student who of course didn't ask where they actually got all these things.

      @coolhari2000@coolhari20006 жыл бұрын
    • coolhari2000 I don’t see a problem with 6 cops arriving at a call for a burglary in progress. That’s perfectly reasonable. It’s clear to you now that the caller was a nut but dispatch and the cops don’t have any way of knowing that, nor do they have anyway of knowing that this is a BS call until they arrive on scene and sort out what’s really going on. The cops were doing everything right, they weren’t being disrespectful, they seemed jovial and relaxed and figured it out pretty quick. They only person here with any fault was the nutty neighbor.
