Highlight of a Sunday is a Ronny Dahl upload
Saturday 😂
You scared me saying it was Sunday lmao
Great to see the rise of rear troopy setups with 2nd row seats in place. Good work Ronny.
Thanks 👍
Same man, I've been thinking about doing this aswell. But everywhere you look and ask they tell you its impossible. I was thinking about doing some sort of 2 person bench seat towards the passenger side to maybe get some more storage opportunities between the bench and driverside of the car.
@@dannovic my thoughts exactly, that way you still retain 4 seats (how often do you need more) and get awesome storage/configuration options to suit family touring with a troopy. Then when the kids Buggar off you’re left with even more endless storage options. A platform that can adapt to family/life circumstances. That’s my pitch to the miso anyway! 😁
Sean from mission 4x4 should be proud as that is a cracking set-up. Ronnie those outtakes were an absolute crackup as well, and both troopies looked amazing 👍👍
I think the chest fridge will fit this build better, It is accessible from the inside when weather is lousy.
There are some very talented people in the local industry with an abundance of very clever storage solutions and these ones are no different. Really well done. I especially loved the little panel for the Anderson plug, air outlet & water fill. Mint 👌
12V electric blanket has been one of the best things I've done to improve camp life
Brilliant setup. So well thought out.
Good set-up 👍 i seen drifta make a fridge storage organiser bag for upright fridge
Fantastic job delivering fresh perspective to Troopy build. Looking forward to seeing how 4 up works on future trips. Epic!
Really impressed with this. Probably my favourite troopy set up I've seen. Also love the fact that you can open the roof conversion from the inside.
Really love your new kitchen Ronnie, well thought out and very practical, great job! 👍🚙👌☘️🇨🇮
Maaate! You are so close to the vision being complete. Absolutely awesome job. Kitchen looks great and super fast easy durable and functional. Every choice for the build to come together has worked great. Looking like the 79 is going to be very jealous.
I don't think I've seen Ronny happier than this. The Troopy must be the bees knees. Way to go mate. Where's Torbs & how's he going?
Great video. We're building our new troopy out now and installed most of the gear from Sean at Mission. Awesome setups between both vehicles.
Two amazing setups.
Turned the telly on this weekend and saw you on it. Nice job! Good to see a positive nice guy on it.
Great work Team
Always consistent content, I'm a fan.
Looking forward to seeing the troopy in action. Looks great.
Hmm , yep your excited with this set up and so you should be , well done , great to see you and your partner have gone so far in the time you have done this , keep living the dream , well done from West Oz 😊
Looking great 🤙👍
Literally watching this camp kitchen video in my kitchen at my home, and feeling jealous!
Awesome set up
great! we are just exploring vids watching whos doing what with their fit-outs . we have a new rig and just getting things underway .. cheers. JT
Awesome episode and what an awesome fitout, you can tell how much thought has gone into it. Well done
It’s been a year already 😅
Great set up Ronny
If I had the money, I'd come down to Mission 4x4 in a troopy and pay for that exact set up straight away. Top job Sean! 👍👍👌👌
Very cool setup! And cool epp. I'd love to see you do a Y62 similar.
Spared no expense, niice build
It wobble terrible, especially last countertop 😮 when your friend is cutting there
Nice set up in both Troopy's You need a Shelia to keep you warm mate
Nice setup Ronnie very well thought out, just load your groceries and your on a trip.
Great build by Mission 4x4 and your Troopy is really looking good buddy
G’day Ronny , only thing I noticed other than a great build , was the slide out table moved a lot as you used it so maybe a drop down leg for support and stability and did you put in a defrosting hose off the upright fridge as they do frost up fairly regularly . Kim .
I thought the same
Loved the new fire to fork ep 😂
Boiling as we are in Texas right now, it's easy to forget you're in the dead of winter. 😄 Great setup in the Troopy!
It’s amazing to see such a contrast in convenience of today’s standards compared to yesteryear. Just recently I was thinking about how awesome are freestanding awnings and all my parents had was a beach umbrella. Yet there’s nothing really ground breaking about the pivoting counter levered setup of a self supporting awning. My guess is it has become easier for the “little guy” to bring his ideas to life with tools being cheaper and outsourcing being available.
Love those lights man
Nice set up. KZhead algorithm might get confused again, it might think you're a cooking channel 😂
😂😂
I think a two seater troopy with a pop top and full set up would be my dream 4WD.
What a well thought out set up, great ideas there, love the kitchen bench & stove draw etc. We have the exact same fridge in our teardrop & I completely removed the bottom crisper shelf & replaced it with the rack shelf. Then I put a thin silicone (baking) mat on top of the shelf to stop things sliding & easy to wipe down. It all works well with the containers I use. I can fit a dozen eggs in the bottom crisper using a camping egg container, it’s nice tight fit so they have been safe so far. I found a tall narrow container that fits in the door for veggies & salad stuff if I need more room. We also run a drinks fridge & put any sauce bottles or whatever in it if we can’t fit in the fridge. I love cooking so have a lot of sauces on any trip. That little shelf in the top of the door is a bit useless but cut & zippy bag up cheeses, salami or chocolates or a few shallots & fresh herbs, garlic & ginger can be a handy spot, I wish it was a bit bigger. Great little fridge so much easier than what we had before, less digging around for stuff & love it; sooooo good for vertically challenged 😂
Would love to see a picture of your fridge arrangement 😁 great ideas I’ll start playing around with it a bit more
@@Ronny_Dahl I tried to email but said too big a file or something. The one for the door that I am currently using is Oxo good grips greensaver produce keeper 2.6litre. And found that two sistema ultra 1.9 litres (think spaghetti container shape with square base) also fit in the same space but they only leave you room for a two litre milk bottle; haven’t fully tested those on a trip yet. The other containers are decor 3litre rectangular & a 900ml rectangular one that wedges on top for a snug fit. Raid the Mrs’s plastic draw 🤣 I sometimes use two of the 3 litre ones, one for leftover roast or watermelon or whatever & one for all the little bits & pieces, just makes it easier to grab what you want with less rearranging. Square ice cream containers would probably work too? Vacuum sealed meat seems to be okay in the crisper area, it stays cold enough for us so far. We don’t camp in really hot weather though so haven’t fully tested that. Having the two shelves just didn’t work for us.
And then there was light! Amen 👍
G'day Ronnie, the Troopy build looks great! I may be getting a little Troopy envy haha!!
can't wait to see the first trip in the new setup
I can’t wait for the first trip myself 😅 it’s been a whole year since I bought the troopy
very nice set uploads like it works a treat
The Best thing about having a 4/5 seater Troopie is: You can put the Front Seats as Far Forward as Possible and then You will have a Second Living Space, with Comfortable Seats to sit on (or use what they were designed for) especially if You were Stuck in Inclement Weather.
Considering a similar setup for a small family ! I'd love to see how you actually use those 2 extra seats, and if they are practical or not.
Great setup Ronny. I think you and Sean should team up. Clever designer and cook with the 4WD guru. Also add Thorbes to the mix :)
Awesome setup. Curious as to how the bed works with the roof conversion, or have I missed that in another video?
I think you should consider the upright fridge on right side opening instead the left side opening. It will allow you easy access rather then bending your hand . Nicely done.
Fantastic work there. Every other troopy has been a 2 seater hood to see it’s possible with 4 or even 5
Best Troopy yet! If only Toyota made a 5 door version!
looks sweet
Upright fridge person here, way better than the chest stuff and no need for a billion dollar heavy 100kg slide. Or digging for food.
Awesome video! Care to share where you got that fuse block for your rogue? Back mount blades are hard to find here stateside 😊
Hey ronny, have you thought of putting in some sort of cage top to bottom, just for heaven forbid you have an accident so everything doesnt impale the rear passengers etc? Love the build! Simple not over the top 🤙
really cool setup! Love it! But man those coffee grounds are way to course!!!!!
Nice vid RD Good to see you Sean Should do a tag alone
What would compliment the coffee bar nicely would be a beer bar in the opposite gull wing with an upright fridge designed to maximize the opening. That would be frickin' cool.
Supper !
Unnnncccllleeeee Roooooonnnnyyyy
So nice to see gas being used and not induction which just blows up the expense.
woolies long life lactose free milk tasting better than most normal milk brands
Dude, Ronny… I absolutely love it. So darn clean. “Party tiiime….” Lol. I’m still deciding on where to incorporate my Travel Buddy also. For heat, I used a Propex heater and built it into a case similar to a diesel heater and will be mounting it on an outside rear molle. For the Troopy though I bet you can find a place so this way you don’t have to run ducting from outside. 🤙🍻
All good with the heat/cold I’ll just grow some more hair and toughen up 😂
@@Ronny_Dahl you got this! 😆🤙
Looks the goods.
nice wish we could get troopys 76 wagons and LC300 's in the U.S. gas is ok... most of our wagons / s.u.vs are soft roader mall wagons ..3 rows of leather 2 sunroofs , ent screens and 'Independent rear axel for a smooth ride and leg room for the3rd row " Toyota / lexus, bronco 2/4dr G wagons have solid rear axle
Just a suggestion. Have you considered a removable screen between the back of the rear seats and the living area in case of an accident or even just rough tracks to stop things flying forward onto the passengers. Something like a ute cover that you can just unclip when you get to camp.
Thoughts / issues:- 1. I have found having the kitchen there blocks off the families access in and out the Troopy. 2. With the lichen that side and cooking under an awning in the rain you can’t go round the short door to access you gull wing on the left which I assume will have the MaxTrax table at some point. 3. You don’t have the option of a stealth camp bed inside. 4. What will the draw look like in a few years time with all the grease from cooking? Otherwise great video as usual 🤙
Never thought I'd see the day Ronny became a #VanLifer
How do you wash-up without a basin? Awesome layout! Really like it a lot, especially that the Troopy seats four. Absolutely what I'd like to do too. one of these days! I might have missed it from an earlier video - what brand and how are the two rear seats mounted? Do you need engineering certification for these seats?
12v electric blanket. Luke from Drifta just used one crossing the centre of Oz and they save on the bulk of a another sleeping bag.
Milk bottle for middle of the night Ronny 👍
Ronnie, new to your videos and love em. We have a 2001 troopy with a tracker conversion and hope to be driving overland in about one year from now. We are keen to add a roof rack to our fibreglass pop top but we are unsure how to do it. Can you share how you secured the roof rack to your troopy. Regards Brad.
Cheers
When you buy eggs there not stored in a fridge.... so save some space in your fridge and store your eggs in a draw they'll be fine!
.... and he'll cook you breakfast No No Nooo. Hahahahah love that response
That’s too much excessive 😂 Cheers from USA 🇺🇸
Love the 'silly nonsense' comment about coffee machines and induction cooking! Leave that sort of stuff at home! Marty from Perth
Ronny, thermals, a good sleeping bag and a wooloen blanket should do the trick
Спасибо
Building out my rear drawer setup right now. Very tempted to integrate a full kitchen - but bear/cougar wilderness camping means I'll be giving that plan a pass. I don't want my truck smelling delicious. 😄🐻🇨🇦
🐻😅
Saludos desde Mexico Amigo Now that’s what I’m talking about ⚠️ I like the sleeping inside part. The whole thing is cool. Now all I have to do is win the lottery……….
The sign of good quality olive oil right there.
That's my dream overland setup. I'm so jealous we can't have Diesel off-roaders like that in USA.
Great❤
If you get a piece of 3inch pvc pipe and a heat gun you can make a pretty basic sheath for your cleaver.
Love the troopy Ronny. Would have liked to see behind the scenes of you actually drinking that coffee. The grinder looks good on camera but the coffee must have been awful with that coarse grind, you need to grind it finer!
We found it was a good coffee but I’ll give it a shot with a finer grind. Got me curious 👀
Nice clean set up. What is the cooker you are using?
i'm liking the rgb lights where did you get those from
Great job and awesome setup but geezz, the average bloke like me cant afford all this stuff and its just all a bit too much sometimes. I just want to get out there with a modest setup and enjoy the great outdoors.
Great bit of kit..BUT I have a question, why only one drawer slide lock an the pull out kitchen?. Is it because they cost $250 a set ( Dunn and Watson 225kg load limit) or for som other reason? cheers mate keep up the content its awesome 🙏
Kitchen is epic! How easy is that!?😊
nice setup. crazy the $ that can go in to these setups.
Tell me about it 😅
Hi just getting some ideas on a good 4x4 and the best way in your mind to set it up I’m a underwater and wildlife photographer that need a reliable vehicle to get me around Australia and beaches some thing that will reliable for years
Your compressor- wired to the redvision directly or just the relay and the compressor main wires to the aux battery?
Partyyyy🎉😂
I can already tell this setup is gonna change, ur gonna get rid of that upright fridge and put in a 40l chest and a draw fridge.
Praise the lord that you are not subscribing to the 2Kw inverter brigade! As the old saying goes “just because you can doesn’t mean you should”. Anything over 50A dc is asking for trouble
Would it be possible to fit an 80L upright fridge instead of a 65L or do the body lines of the car stuff it up???? As for staying warm, a low power 240v electric throw blanket will definitely run from your inverter. My girlfriend really feels the cold so she has one and we run it for about 30mins - 1 hr before bed on a 60ah battery and 400w inverter. It draws roughly 11-13a flat out. We already had the blanket at home so essentially it was free😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Ronny, What's that stove?
