The Avatr 12 electric sedan, a collaborative effort from Changan, Huawei, and CATL, recently emerged during the domestic homologation process, revealing its readiness for mass production. With a robust powertrain, the 2024 Huawei Avatr 12 offers two options: a Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) variant generating 313 hp and 370 Nm torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and a 4WD version delivering an impressive 578 hp and 650 Nm torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Both configurations feature a 94.5-kWh CATL NMC battery, providing substantial range with the RWD version boasting 700 km on CLTC and the 4WD version with 650 km.
In terms of dimensions, the Avatr 12 stands at 196.6 inches in length, 78.7 inches in width, 57.4 inches in height, and has a 119.2-inch wheelbase. Its approach and departure angles offer versatility with options of 15 by 20 or 13 by 18 degrees. Inside, the sedan boasts a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic widescreen and a 15.6-inch central control screen, combining technology and aesthetics. The motor's horsepower reaches an impressive 425 kW (578 hp), emphasizing the electric sedan's commitment to high performance and cutting-edge innovation.

All car manufacturers now have electric models for their standard models equipped with internal combustion engines , even there are electric pickups, but the effort is despite the enormous propaganda about the beginning of a new phase in the history of the industrial revolution and the history of the transportation and automotive industry, but it is so far, it has not been very productive, despite the advanced performance of electric engines compared to internal combustion engines in terms of maximum speed and acceleration, but the technology lacks the maturity necessary for its widespread adoption, For example : 1- charging the batteries is still slow compared to the speed of filling the fuel tank, and this affects negatively the practicality of usage and makes it suitable only for cities that possess well establish charging infrastructure , or between the short distance cities . 2- the Frequent fire accidents of electric cars due to the batteries . but I mentioned tesla in particular because it started this trend in automotives industry forcing another car manuf to follow although Toyota Prius was the first electric car or Eco friendly car , but the widespread was ad direct response to the competition with the increasing market share of tesla cars , which benefited from several factors within a certain period of time : the growing talk about carbon emissions and their impact on the ozone hole and climate change and those talks develop into international initiatives that took the form of environmental treaties and agreements to limit carbon emissions and with them updating the environmental systems , standards , laws that determine the techincal specifications of cars that are allowed to drive on the roads . tesla cars compared to the Chinese cars considered very expensive , the designing not very appealing , not very well made. but unfortunately many Chinese cars following tesla cars in designing which is to simple It can be considered either very simple , or very futuristic, with only one or two tablet to monitor and operate the various functions and equipment of the car ...

But they still need to be improved with much shorter down time and longer range... i put gas in my Jaguar XJl once a month, (once a month) and takes me 3 minutes, at 40 to 50 bucks which is dirt money in today's economy. Not 20 minutes or 20 hours. My range is 570 miles and paid off at 41 thousand dollars. You put these fine qualities and improvements in an EV, Well hey!! Now we're talkin!!! I'll buy one immediately!!!! Especially if it's a large full size luxurious automobile. This is great when iam on a long distance travel......

This is great. Finally an EV that has been upgraded in range at over 400 miles. It's also a large full size luxury automobile whis is more my style. Ofcourse to much computer crap, to technical. I can open the trunk myself, push a button for the heat. I can roll my own window down and when it comes to driving, I'll drive! Not the computer or my mother. If you make the car alittle more basic, you decrease the price and increase the joy of simple driving and without the computer, you decrease the chance of hackings. But the Avatr 12 is still a sit and stay awhile car and unfortunately is not available in the United States of America. So I'll continue to drive my large full size luxurious Jaguar XJl which i fully fuel up once a month, (once a month)and takes me 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours. My range is 570 miles which is needed for the 831 mile trip from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville Florida USA, that i take 3 times a year. At 41 thousand dollars, it's paid off. Don't get me wrong, i love EVs and I've see some kool looking EVs out there but the (truth) is, long range and short downtimes continues to be reserved for gas cars only and not available in the EV. So I'll have patience and waite for the next generation EV with the hopes that these fine qualities and improvements have been applied then, I'll be the first one at the gates to buy one immediately!!!

Even if that range is 570 miles, my question is, why spend the extra expense when all they have to do is simply improve the tesla/EV with a true long range? Why does long range have to be reserved for gas cars only? My car provides me with that 570 miles of range and not some apparatus hooked up to it for an extra costs.
@@carlsmith5545 Sorry, my English is not very good and my expression is a bit off. What I mean is that this car has multiple versions, including a pure electric range version and a version with increased fuel range! The fuel does not intervene in the power output, but provides power to the motor!

The Chinese sure make some nice cars. Shame for us we cannot compete. There are two Chinese per one European at least. Hopefully this will make the Euro-brands come up with cheaper cars, but to do this, most times they will have to lower the work force, causing families to suffer with less income.

It was one of the best selling cars. If you can't buy it in your country, it's either because it's not yet in your country or maybe your govt is not letting you buy it. There are many cars in China that are very popular. But countries such as the US refuse to let them in.

The car is not Huawei. But the system used in the car is Huawei. Huawei's EV system is best known for it's EXTREMELY good capabilities for autonomous driving. As far as I know, ALL cars with the Huawei system can : - Autonomously go and find parking by itself - And then park by itself - And then when you've finished your shopping, etc, you press a button on the Huawei app on your phone, the car will automatically turn on, leave the parking and come and find you! So you don't even need to know where it was parked!!! Car brands that have the Huawei system include : AITO, Luxeed, and AVATR
