Gio11B Olivera a lot of the national guard guys probably put rank you because a lot of them are or were officers because they can go to school full time. Secondly after I get my associates(I don’t want to go officer until after I get to at least an e5) I’ll be submitting my 38 a to go active duty.

Gio11B Olivera Kentucky National Guard we have Jordy Brewer, one of the best rangers ever and he isn’t Active Army, we have Rangers, and everything else Active Army has we just get only limited slots to send dudes to those schools, also 149th mountain warrior battalion is getting deployed next year to Kuwait, dudes who make fun of the Guard didn’t use the educational benefits or something else, The Guard is what you make out of it and so far I’m loving it
Madden Player ok there is no such thing as an national guard ranger don’t get it twisted, ranger tab and an actual scroll rangers are not the same thing, yes there is indeed plenty of people in the NG who have ranger tabs but not actual 75th ranger regiment operators in the national guard, I was once in the national guard and it is a complete joke in my opinion that’s why I left and went active duty, Kuwait is going to be a summer vacation and they give “combat” patches soo that’s wack. The video had both Infantrymen and Special Forces soldiers in the video, they're both infantry. Special Forces soldiers all go through One Station Unit Training (OSUT), which is the 11B Infantryman MOS training, before they go through Special Forces training.

Gio11B Olivera Kentucky National Guard only RSP does it, I’m going to college so I can earn a commission because I’m wanting to go Active and finish out 20 years down the road a captain, but when you get to a unit here you do a PT test, then they let you do a lot of teamwork stuff, I’m just happy my college is paid for because I didn’t want to make my family suffer

You all talk shit on the National Guard. I get that the pictures were very much inaccurate. However, you have to give the National Guard some credit. The National Guard is able to train only one weekend a month and still be a part of the worlds greatest fighting force. The National Guard trains less often than every other branch and yet performs just as well in the action. Hell, the most highly recognized infantry unit from WWI was a National Guard unit. The National Guard have played an important role in every war the U.S. has been involved in. It takes a lot of discipline to maintain physical readiness without a Sergeant holding your hand 28 days out of the month like the active duty have. The National Guard is the very reason this country exists. The National Guard is the only branch to receive all of state and federal benefits and they provide the best college benefits. The National Guard without a doubt goes under recognized for all it has accomplished.

It's the gaurd you could've just got a waiver those guys are fat as fuck looking at you Mississippi only 3 dudes were under 300 pounds when they replaced us in iraq multiple fuckers couldn't fit in the driver's seat of a Mrap their command had to put the whole company on a diet and remedial PT. LoL Basic will sweat most of the fat off but problem is the gaurd they usually put back on the weight and some first two weeks they go home lol.

In Big Army eventually your chaptered out after six months if you don't meet Tape in the guard they don't care. They only care about numbers fat , out of shape they don't care as long as on paper it says full unit strength . If your in the guard you know this so Stop acting like i'm lying lol.

Use the guard for after you did active duty. If you do the guard first your missing out. All my guard units were really good to high speed but most of the guard Infantry is leg infantry and you ain’t getting any high speed schools except leadership schools.

all depends on the MOS. I'm not from Virginia so I don't know of any out there. When I enlisted they just put me in a pool of names and sorted me into the one I'm in now.
RipCityJP it hard to tell also depends on the arrival timing when you get to your unit & the readiness situation, my unit just finished JRTC within a year & set to leave for Australia before a bigger task next year

Dude if you were trying for years to get into the Nasty Girls I'd find another hobby . Their standards are way to low to have to try for years it's probably not for you. And even in the Nasty Girls people get killed in training.
@@jimbotheassclown Their standards are the same as the active duty Army. You go through the same physical at MEPS, same ASVAB score requirements for the same jobs, same TAPAS test, same Basic training & AIT, same deployments, and so on and so forth.
LoL I've been In the Infantry in both the Army and the Nasty girls Standards are close to none existent in the Guard haha and that was in a good Guard Unit we went from 130% over strength to 50% under strength overnight once our deployment papers came in because of permanent profiles same Standards my Ass . Then you have states like Mississippi haha where 300 isn't a movie title it's the average weight of their guardsmen . Only in the Nasty Girls will you find a over weight 50 year old SPC . They Pass out wavers more than Shit tickets in the Gaurd .

This went on for over a year. For state activation. Meaning no veteran status and benefits for this deployment. And no pre deployment training that most NG get before a years long deployment. Many were given a week to get their shit together.

Watch "Citizen Soldier Behind The Scenes Promo". The 45th ID had a proud history in WW2. I am a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy. Our CO was an Infantry Cpt. PNG 28th ID "Blutiger Eimer" Officer. Our Guard units have more combat experienced leaders than anybody else's active duty troops.

Seven years as infantry in the guard and one deployment later, we still haven't done anything near this high speed. Half of your drills are going to be you sitting in a drill hall making sure your guys don't sneak off.

There's year long deployments , Floods , fires ,hurricanes, and riots that you get called up for at any time and last for who knows how long. Then there's just the Drills 6pm on Fridays till at least 5 pm on Sundays ever drill that crap the recruiter says about Saturday and sunday mornings is crap and the weekends change all the time sometimes 3 times in one month before they settle on one then there's Annual Training it's a month not 2 weeks once again the recruiter lied about that too. So you have to have someone that can take care of your dog at a moments notice for who knows how long .
