    • do what @Flame7 said, I'm currently doing that rn and ab to head to basic. You can join as young as 17 and as a HS Jr. Easily knock off 2 years and gain some experience and early pay.

    • I agree with the above comments! the earlier you start the better. I wish I started earlier. my friend is 19 and already an E4… by the time he’s 21 he’ll more than likely be an E5/Sergeant already and only 4 years in!

  • Going to basic in 2 days. Went to university right after high school (2020) and didn't know what I going to do with my life. Finally settled on Natural Resources with an option in Conservation Law Enforcement but then ran out of government assistance for school with three years of college done. Contacted the recruiter about 100% tuition assistance and am planning on completing OSUT for Basic and Military Police training and will return to college to finish my degree while doing part-time National Guard stuff. Oh and if you have enough university credits completed like me you can start out as an E-3 (PFC). Or you can go the ROTC route in that interests you except that you probably want to start that right away once you get into a University. Also no student loan debt.

Also I recommend you don’t show your car or license plate m, especially as your channel grows. In no way am I tryna to threaten you I just want you to be aware and and take safer measures to hide your personal information m. Okay well I subscribed and can’t wait to see more!❤

You only work 1 weekend a month, don’t go through 22 weeks of infantry OSUT just to go national guard (but don’t get a non combat mos just a waste of your time at that point) my advice is to sign as 18x, you’ll go to airborne school and special forces selection

  • What are the benefits when you join part time? A video about it would be awesome, I can't find any.

    @jpadma9@jpadma9 Жыл бұрын
    • You get the same benefits as active but even more educational benefits. Regular army has a budget for college while National guard gives you automatic free tuition after you pass AIT. You get access to VA loans, and military discounts, as well as VA business loans. Plus you usually get deploys within the US but have the opportunity to volunteer to over seas deployments. You still go through regular army basic training as well as AIT. So you’re just as trained.

      @azielm5900@azielm5900 Жыл бұрын
    • @@azielm5900 just as trained is complete bullshit bro. I trained way harder on active duty as an Infantrymen. You also don’t get access to the Post 9-11 GI Bill. You don’t qualify for VA healthcare unless you get onto an federally activated deployment (OEF/OND/OIF/SYRIA). Aside from that, there isn’t much difference. (There is legislation going around to allow national guard (non prior active duty) full access to Post 9-11 GI bill/ VA healthcare.

    • Look into the options available for being an aircraft mechanic or a Warrant Officer. Being a WO is a lot more competitive and the training takes potentially years along with much longer drill schedules and administrative duties after drilling, however, as the name implies, you get the luxury of flying. As an aircraft mechanic, you get all the same benefits of being around the vehicles with less drill and training time. Especially for your University schedule. This is all assuming you want to work on rotary aircraft and not fixed wing because that would be Air Force NG; my advice would not change, however if that is the case.

      @danielflorez4193@danielflorez41932 жыл бұрын
    • I see you posted this 9 months ago so you've probably made a decision already but this is the route I've gone. I've been back from AIT for around 3 months and I'm going into my colleges aviation program. The guard is covering all of my tuition. Mostly through federal tuition assistance but there are more than enough programs to cover everything. My job is a 15P aviation operations specialist. While it's aviation related I did go wrong here thinking it would help me in becoming a pilot. Very little of being a 15p will actually help you become a pilot. So either become a pilot in the army or just choose a job that sounds the most fun to you. It's only 1 weekend a month and the benefits are more than worth it. If you just want the education assistance I'd also recommend choosing an MOS where your unit I close to you. Mine is 2 hours away which isn't terrible but with better planning it could have been 20 minutes away. I could have been shooting Artillery instead of dispatch aircraft and doing paperwork.

He prefers to keep his options open and be spontaneous as much as possible. Now THAT annoys me. I feel comfort with having a schedule for the day or at least a to do list. Even on my off days or "fun days". Without it I feel lost almost and often waste the day sometimes.
