I came across this old mustang a couple weeks ago and decided to see if we could rescue it from this cow field. Come along as I fight off the cows and donkeys while I try to get this thing running!!

Why is it so satisfying to see a car that has been sitting so long being resurrected and driven home with a couple of days work? Love this type of content!
WOW !!! Looks like the Holy Grail: 351C !!!!!!!!! ... And body in amazingly good condition... good engine... good tranny... no posi but guess can't expect everything...
Because it's bringing something "back to life".
this is why watch these videos
🙂
I know right!!
I'm 73 y/o. I was 23 in 1973 and bought a Mach I. Waited six weeks for it to arrive from the factory, since the assembly line was on strike. It was magnificent !!!
Hello, how are you doing today.?
Some guy in the next town over has a burgundy and black Mach One for his daily driver at least part of the year. I used to see him drive past in the morning when I dropped my daughter off at school.
My 1st car was a 73 Mach II. I saved $500, making $4.25 an hour at Publix & bought it. I wish I had a picture of it. Watching your video sure brought me back to 1996 when I was 16 & in that car. I could've used a good ol "carboroster" cleaning, too! Lol 😆 thanks for making a great video, sir.
@@franceliakarle_1 Retired, single, in good health and happy.
@@bentnickel7487 nice lie 🦦
Those cows have been looking at that car sit for generations, they probably have legends about it.
And to see it gone is a monumental event for them
Nah. They more enjoyed the trees around it that gave them a way to use trunks as scratch posts. The car simply served as support to prevent the the trees leaning back against the load of the cows brushing up against them
@@DivinityIsPuritythat's why no other trees survived that weren't right next to it
Just goes to show how well made cars were back then. Sat in a field for 30 YEARS without even being touched, and with just a little TLC back on the road. Love to see it!
Something SUVs, lifted trucks and egg sedans can’t do they sat they will sat dead
A Tesla could do that no probs
@@nnaheim. nice bait
@@nnaheim. Unfortunately that's likely not true due to corrosion alone. You would have to somehow prepare for that, if you planned on leaving it 30 years.
Except if you had one in the north that would rust from road salt in under 5 years like my dad's did.
This guy is amazing. Not only can he repair a car on site but he's got a herd of pesky cows to deal with. He deserves a medal!
Herd of pesky cows lol
Git on now!
Cows were cute though... It gives uniqueness to the video.
Melhor que um rebanho de pessoas que nem você 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Cattle are so friendly and nosey! Ours were like that. 😂
OMG that was my fathers car he traded back in 95. He sat here with me and told me all the stories about this car and we teared up a little. This was incredible to see, I'd never thought something like this would happen.
Interesting. Would love to hear the stories he told.
That’s awesome dude it’s in good hands now lol this guy is awesome and def knows his stuff
sure it is
Sharing is caring, its been a month, whats the stories lol
where them stories at
Wow it warmed my heart to see it drive, no modern car sitting for 30yrs would ever be in such a good shape. Goes to show everything was made to last back then.
They don't make them like they used to😂
I've revived a few efi vehicles from 15-20+ years of sitting. Sensors and whatnot don't really go bad from sitting as long as the hood has been shut from the elements. As long as rodents haven't gone crazy they'll usually fire right up. Almost guaranteed the fuel pump is dead and tank is rusty, but that's typical.
In my state cars dont rust or fall apart so i bet you could do it with a modern car.
I watched this yesterday. Sunday morning, while having breakfast. Man.... did I enjoy this one. Your skills, your humour, the scenery and of course the moos and donkeys made not only my morning but the whole day. All the best from The Hague, Netherlands. 🐮
Hello Netherlands!! 👍👍
Having the friendly cows and the donkeys added with your humor makes this a classic revival. Absolutely loved it. Want to see more. Great work!
@O.G Autistler edgy hitler kid isnt satisfied with something (shocker) 😂
I'm a Chevy and a Dodge person myself but it doesn't matter what it is to see somebody rescue something that's been sitting that long more power to you plus the fact that you live down in the South makes all the difference in the world I'm up here in the North where we get snow and salt and rust a car like that sitting up here for 30 years you'd been better off just hauling it straight to the scrap yard love the content keep it up
Hello, how are you doing today.?
Chevy & Dodge for me too! But I'll take a Mercedes... 😊🤗
@@SOULRELIEF22 Mercedes don't hold value they r nice cars but I can buy a used one cheap
Chevys rust to
I live in northern Indiana and you are correct, cars just don't sit outside for long up here, they just disintegrate.
Hands down a TRUE will it start/drive home video with an actual car that sat for years. Not a staged BS deal like so many others we see here on YT. Excellent video! The cows helped too…
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. It's not often I can watch a video of this length without getting bored, but I just did. Wishing you all the best, dude.
Preshate it.
I had never expected that car would actually be driven away from that spot under it's own power. Very impressive 😄
Hello, how are you doing today.?
@@franceliakarle_1 Pretty good actually 😁 You ?
I love how even though those animals were being a pain you never once lost your patience and yelled or did anything mean. Even while working on a old car(frustrating working it's self) you treated them with kindness and alot of things my granddad said to animals that I still don't understand to this day...thank you.
I love how cows are naturally curious though, they take a great deal of interest in their surroundings and anything out of the ordinary has them fascinated, very sweet!
I was ready to put a ring on him by the end of this video 💖💍
Hello, how are you doing today.?
you stand in a paddock for 60 days .... and not be interested in a guy playing with that thing that was in the trees .... lol
@@franceliakarle_1 ,,, I'm fine,Francelia, hopefully by the Grace of Almighty God you are in good Health,,Lots of Love from Malaysia Dear Friend 😊🌹🌹
This guy definitely deserves a thumbs up and like for getting this Car to run after 30 years..... absolutely amazing 👏👏👏
I'm no car mechanic but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this beauty get going again. Absolutely well done 👊 The accent is mega and the area you live pretty darn nice too. Best regards from the Uk
Hello UK! 👍
A ford, yes please Also that engine is a 351 cleveland. It had 8 valve cover bolts and the radiator hose comes out of the block and not the intake manifold like a 351w and 302
I was going to say that. You beat me by 8 minutes!
I thought so that valve cover definitely didn't look like sbf
2V or 2 barrel Cleveland. Most 71-73 Mustangs came with either a 302 or 2V 351 Cleveland. I don't think Windsors were even offered, and there weren't a lot of 6 cylinders either. That 2V motor is a good motor.
@@Stucifer I once owned a '73 Mustang Grande Q code 351 Cleveland 4 barrel. It was a screamer.
2 bbl. 351C heads better for street use... 4 bbl. heads had horribly shaped ports...
Watching those cows brought back memories my mom had 4 cows for pets they were free range in our yard, those walking steaks got into everything but she loved them
Yeah, kind of wondered why he keeps telling them to get away. It's THEIR pasture! He's lucky that bull/ steer didn't tell HIM to get.😀
@@bookooc5605 most not all but most of the bull I've dealt with are big softies they are big and intimidating but they are just big babies
thats what you got out of the video?cows?lol
Free range cows. Nobody has free range cows.
Hello, how are you doing today.?
I love the simplicity and reliability of older cars. I imagine that it would be alot harder to do this on a modern car that’s been sitting for 30 years although I’m not a mechanic so I’m just guessing 😀
Imagine how many sensors you’d have to check and replace just to get the thing going
That mustang quit working at 55k miles. Probably looks the same as the day they parked it.
My 2014 ford fusion hybrid was leaking headgaskets at 86 k tells ya something about ford's quality
Always a pleasure seeing how someone takes something old and rusted and turn it into something amazing, that's faith
`until next time , go do something' - love that ! you , sir , are amazing - here in the UK , any car sat in a field for 30 years would have disolved into the ground , to see that run and drive was just amazing - thank you !
Preshate that! 👍
Actually the trees would have swallowed the whole place
@@Fredrick422 not if it was an active farm field... the farm machinery prevents that, these trees only got the chance because they were 10 cm from the car
Etha n
Pretty cool find. can't believe it started right up from sitting 30 years can't wait to see more of this mustang 😁😁😍
Old ford 30+ hahahaa a engine go brbrbrbrb vrooom 2006--2022 Engine broke filters block up rusted to kingdom fuck
Hi. how are you doing today.?
This was a great video, I loved watching the resurrection of the Mustang - but an added bonus was the company of your animal friends. I loved seeing them wander over to see what was going on - and lubricate your hammer. Brilliant!
My first language is Spanish, but I have enjoyed every single second of this video. Not only learned a lot with its content about rescuing this car, but also from the way this great motor scientist speak. I learn a lot watching this video. Thanks for enriching my vocabulary and English comprehension of different accents.
👍👍
Just found this channel and really dig your format. No bullcrap, just honest rescues. Great.
Might be some cow crap and donkey crap though.
Hello, how are you doing today.?
Remember the days when cars were all mechanical and fun to work on? This really takes me back. I can almost smell it when you opened the door. Lol.. So glad I watched this. Very fun and entertaining.
That was awesome almost cried when I seen it drive away, very Greta job on the car and the video salute to all the people who give life to cars like this.
That was a fine rescue job. Maybe just putting tires on it and dragging it out 20 feet before working on it would have been a good plan. You were so exciting that you made the cows' and donkeys' days so interesting! Thanks for bringing us along.
Hello, how are you doing today.?
Yup those trees didn’t have to die.
The way the trees grew around, pretty wild. I would have left the two largest ones. A pretty cool find. All the car vids I watch and just found yours, subscribed right off.
I would’ve left it wth Can’t believe he cut the perfect parking spot for shade
I got so sad at that part still cool find tho
It was art and this guy destroyed it.
It was art and this guy destroyed it.
@@reggienhappiness8851 He said it was cherry trees, which leaves are poisonous to cows, which is why he cut them down for the farmer, I think keeping your animals alive vs "art" is a tad more important.
Wow! I sure enjoyed the time watching! It brought back memories when I watch my father repair cars in his Mechanic Shop when I was a boy! Thank-You!
I am no mechanic so seeing this old girl start up and drive off on her own power is nothing short of magic, Great Work!! God Bless
Well done for getting the car going and for giving me a good laugh while you get harrassed by the assorted wildlife!
You Sir are indeed an overcomer!! As a Ford man and a Mustang lover I 🫡 you! Amazing work and well documented.
Wow, when you pulled up to the first stop sign, I was like 'I hope the brakes work' and thought you was about to spin it around and put it on a trailer. But then you drove it home! Crazy. Greetings from England! Great video!
Wow!! Your doing what you do and you are passionate 'bout it...I'm loving it..thanks for posting, this is priceless God bless you🙂🙏🏽
Love seeing Fords rescued, especially Mustangs!
I love seeing these old cars rescued
Hello, how are you doing today.?
I love this channel. I just found it about a week ago and I have to say it's quickly become one of my favorites! Definitely in my top 3 channels to watch! Keep up the great work.
Just wonderful. I wish I could figure out how to do what you did here to my 1930 sedan. Clearly you’re a smart person when it comes to vehicles.
The rocker nuts will loosen up over time and cause a lifter tap sometimes. If you pull the valve covers while it is running and loosen each individual nut till it starts tapping, then tighten it 3/4 of a turn or until it stops tapping, you can fix it sometimes. If it keeps tapping even when fully tightened you can get a slightly longer push rod to compensate and fix the problem. Nice car. That's the grande model. I have a 72 coupe with a 302.
"It'll buff out" ! LOL Mmmmmmmmmmustang , haha
I feel like barn finds are never ending. Right now there’s a car probably being parked for the last time it’ll move in decades
Oh man, I loved it, it was as if I was next to you in real time, the cows, the donkeys, the wasps... all this happens when you are in the field and you haven't mowed it. One of the best rescue videos I have seen in a long time. Greetings from a Spaniard from Germany.
Awsome..would love to see that one tidyed up and back on road
Hi. how are you doing today.?
Much respect. I’ve had an old 73 coupe since I was 17. I bought another one a couple years ago for parts and ended up keeping it. It had been parked in a field for only 3 years. Had to cut the drum off the back brake it was so seized up. Looking forward to getting it running soon.
Great video! Authentic delivery with a unique spin which was very entertaining. I haven't seen anything like it, which of course made me subscribe right away. I watch a lot of KZhead and of course car rescue videos are all over the place, such as graveyard rescue, restored etc so great job creating content that is different and grass roots, enjoyed every minute!
Preshate it. 👍
Just seeing your video. I'm a mustang lover and seeing this video just made me smile ear to ear. I love working on cars with my son. Would live to this this moostang fully restored.
Cool revival of an old car. And yes , ~ Aquort is 2 pints.
Ahhhhhhh! WHATS IN THE TRUNK??? The two Texans???😬😬😬 lol Great video sir
🤷♂️
Southern genius at its best…Absolutely brilliant video! Go on now!
Them critters wouldn’t leave him be 😅
Now that's some quality work right there. After 30 years it works almost like new.
I am stunned. I thought it was just plain silly you would drive that out of there. I was wrong. Brilliant. I have no idea how you did it. Great job!
Hi. how are you doing today..?
Great video. You were so exciting that you made the cows' and donkeys' ( and wasp, lol ) a fun time. i am glad you saved the car. Thanks for bringing us along.
Hello, how are you doing today.?
Great video, tremendously enjoyed watching it... brought back a lot of memories for me. In the early-mid 70s I was dating a girl in Pinetop Arizona who owned a 73 Mustang... hers was bright shiny red! She was so proud of it. New Sub!!!
This baby sounds good. Fantastic video. You are an expert; and very easily understood.
Back in the day my aunt and uncle raised cattle and had several milking cows…..the old barn had a few wild cats that kept the mice at bay and also where we would milk the cows….the cats would come out and we would squirt milk in their mouths….I was chased out of the pasture many times by the bulls….😂😂😂😂that was the good old days in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. Nice job on the mustang….a potential daily driver. 👍🇺🇸
Awesome job bud!!! Can’t keep an old Ford down!!!
Hello, how are you doing today.?
A joy to watch this thx for posting...amazing ya got that to its new home. Subscribed.
Loved this Great job considering Thank you for sharing.
I love videos like this. Shows old muscle cars dont die. If i had the time and space, id love to do something similar. Awesome video.
Think the tree cage saved it some, fab video as always.
Simply amazing. That's the difference on what human been was capable to built in the past and the chesty things we manufacture today. I had a Toyota Land Cruiser made on the 75, and still had screws on it that had that brand new color from factory.
So COOL! I really enjoyed this. Had to share it on FB. Amazing
The Moostang mooves out of the paddock, and avoids being put out to pasture, thanks to you !!
Hi. how are you doing today.?
Awesome video! Cool to see a old Cleveland engine come back to life.
Cows are hilarious animals. They are so curious and love to just slowly walk up to new people in a group of them and then start checking out everything you have and walking up to you just staring at you. They really act like pets. Nice work man.
Wow. I'm shocked and impressed.. Great job!
That's insane. I'd give a lot to know the rest of the story on that car. I can't see that sticker clearly on the back but I think it says Tyner Auto Sales in Moorhead, MS. Moorhead is on U.S. 82 which does indeed lead into TX. 30 years ago those were cheap used cars...maybe they traded their way across the country.
Like to find a car that valuable in that good of condition!
@@BuzzLOLOL that things not very valuable lol.
@@dtoy1809 - Vastly better condition than old vehicles we find here up north to start with...
@@BuzzLOLOL yeah it's got decent bones but I'm saying 73 is not that desirable of a year so I'd hardly call it valuable

meeting a cop on the way home would have been interesting , i didn't know cow's had an interest in old car restoration , learn something every day
Maybe that modulator vacum is not hooked up for the transmission ,usually gives a harsh bang into gear. It be a nice car fixxed up.
Yeah, those crap modulator hoses rotted off... even on my '78 Ford truck...
She smokes alright, smokes tires. LOL
i just love people who make a engine bay into their playground and know what their doing its just incredible the knowledge you got to trouble shoot love mustangs got my 2020 sitting out back now
Holy, this guy is amazing. So knowledgeable. If I had a dad or grandpa I cant imagine the amount of money Id save on car repairs!!!! if he can do all this, the work I've spent 1000s on would take him 5 mins!
Drives me NUTS that so many of you are finding all these cool cars in the oddest places. I wouldn't even have bothered trying to start it. I would have hauled it right into my shop lol
I would have hauled it to a scrap yard for the scrap metal price.
I'd have changed the battery oil cleaned the plugs, antifreeze pumped the tires then tried it myself. Am a woman and know that much ! GREAT JOB !! : )
Hi. how are you doing today..?
@@gelynch52phPH Sacrilege.
Chad I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's a 351 Cleveland in that car. If the radiator return hose bolts down to the top of the block, that's what it is. If it bolts into the front of the intake, it's a 302 or 351 Windsor.
The only way to tell the difference between a 351 C or 302 C is to look at the crank shaft. they will be marked either 302 or 351. Also, Clevo's have that box shape on each tappet cover. Windsors had the symmetrical tappet covers ,almost the same from the early 60's.
302C is very rare and has narrower intake manifold... not likely one in here... Looks like desirable 351C !!! Hose goes down into block... 2 bbl. heads more desirable for street use... 4 bbl. 351C heads had too large and horribly shaped ports...
We didn't have 302 Cleveland in the states only Aussies had the good stuff.
I would love to see a part 2 to this car..and see it fully restored!! What a fun car..i would love this car..😊
Only a Ford could come out that situation so well. I LOVE my Fords. My 1st car was Grand Torino with the Modified 400. Same year and body style as In Starsky and Hutch. I left a Trans Am and Corvette in my rear view mirror. 😂 They couldn't believe it was all Factory issue. I've had to Lincoln's and 6 Fords since 1980. Right now I am sitting in my smooth running 2009 Ford Expedition with 306000 miles on it. I also have a 2006 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. It's a beast with over 350000 miles on it. Keep up the good work , Bro !!
