  • So to explain the pot pie portion.... IF it takes that long there is only one explanation. There is literally no chicken left that is cooked and they are 10 minutes to close. That is the only possible way. So in this scenario if there is no chicken at all, this is what happens. The fry cook, AKA what i did, already cleaned his kitchen and put everything away 30 minutes prior to close so he can get the fuck out early and go back home so he can get 4 hours asleep before working another 9 hours at the second job he has. So now he has to put everything back together, which is probably 10 minutes. So he goes to the pressure cooker, slaps that bitch back together, and its ready. He has to get his flour tables put back together as well. So a new tub of flour, a clean pot of water and clean trays for the chicky to go on. Then you go and get the chicken from the fridge, clean that shit, dip that slut in flour and arrange it on its rack. Then once that is allll down, you spent about another 10 minutes if you are doing it according to the rules. Now you are hopping your fryer is at the proper temp by this time which is dependent on how cheap the franchise owner, which is likely very cheap because he lives in India. So it probably needs another 5 minutes to get to 375 degrees or something cant remember. Then its done, you slap your rack of chicken in the fryer and it goes down. Now you need to wait another roughly 23 minutes for it to cook. Now 48 minutes later the chicken is cooked and the fry cook hates your fucking guts, but is probably more pissed at his manager for not having ANY chicken. Now the cooked chickey goes to the food prep in the next station over. They pull the chicken apart and smash it or some shit, then mix it in the pot pie mix in the tin and put the fancy flour lid. That can take about 10ish minutes. Then you slap that little slut in the oven for i want to say another 20ish minutes. Once its done you got a steaming hot pot pie. So about 78 minutes, so ya

  • 22:10 It, unfortunately, takes a long to cook certain food, Asmon, and even though you're supposed to cook a certain amount of food per hour, you can't account for people clearing out one item in a short period of time. For example, at Boston Market, it took an hour to cook pot pies. We always had 4 out even though we typically sold maybe 1 per hour. Anyone, at any time, could come in and take 2-3, or all of them. At that point, there is literally nothing anyone could do to make the food quicker, unless you want your stuff microwaved. Your dad needs to calm down in those situations. People in food have it rough. They shouldn't have to deal with inconsiderate, hot-headed people who have no idea the entire situation is beyond literally anyone's control. Again. Unless you want microwaved food...
